i think price history is honestly gonna just be things like camel and honey. technically i've seen capital one shopping also point me to places but it's another one like honey. best answer is gonna be to just open another tab and do it manually in camel. or do a search in slickdeals, if it's not too out there, and you'll find some idea of what the price history has actually been (see: coupons, discounts, etc amazon does to hide it).

it doesn't say that there's none better available period, just that it didn't find more and that, based on its codes, you've found the best deal you can find. it also has a section asking if you know of a promo code not listed and want to submit it, so that's just passive acknowledgement that there's potentially more out there which are better and i think that's the "out" for this argument; by asking for people to submit they acknowledge that a better deal could exist, more codes could exist, and that it's constantly changing.

you'd pretty much need discovery to find that they had codes explicitly blacklisted to get the consumer side harmed. which would be a hell of a claim considering it's way easier for them to just... not include codes they "didn't know" or "weren't able to verify before they expired." proof they talk to storefronts won't help on this either, honey's got exclusive sales that happen with certain items, e.g., if you're interested in this HDD from Western Digital Honey might have a $20 off code on it that nobody else seems to. that's not hypothetical, saw that one last year.

mind you, personally i very much do want paypal to be dinged on this because they are long overdue getting slapped around for multiple things. i just don't see the consumer side get much of anything, which is why i'm happy the creators are the ones all jumping on this because... well, they should, they legit got robbed.

there's no opportunity cost issue either - you could always put in the code manually yourself. honey not automatically doing that for you did not detract from your ability to make it cheaper.

oh for sure people have, i've done it before and no way i didn't get SD codes without others having submitted it too. but if you're looking towards a lawsuit like... i don't think you're gonna prove any harm in this way. creators absolutely got fucked but the consumer has a hard case for it on that. "oh no, you saved me 10% instead of 25%" is a strange argument to make. and they can just as easily say "it takes a bit of time for the coupon to be verified on our end" and it's back to nothing as most coupon codes that are good like that won't last more than a day.

as somebody who's used honey quite a bit, it's never that it's the highest possible but that it's the most found in the app, which is true.

other apps - capital one shopping in particular - will have more. and even that's not gonna be perfect, half my shit bought with coupon codes goes through slickdeals with people who are trying to maximize it.

loved the start and a lot of the characters but the last episode had quite a bit of disappointment. 456 going from "I'll save everyone!" to "well some gotta die" is way too drastic of a change, the one time he got upset was his friend dying when he personally chose him for the most dangerous run (and not the clearly best unit for such a job), lip ring girl dying and being absolutely pointless.

i'm used to two part seasons from anime so that's what this basically is but there's still some pretty big differences at the end that seem like it needed one more episode to work out properly.

yeah the user side doesn't have an argument on damages really. on top of that there are offers that honey has that are exclusive to them and the discounts you're getting are in the form of those (e.g., $30 off an item on this website) or cashbacks. they aren't just coupon codes and for the end user, can absolutely be worth it while offering good savings. i use all 3 of the main ones - honey, rakuten, capital one shopping - and when it comes to coupon codes i've occasionally found some that aren't on their list, though most of the time it's fine. it's very much so a creator side issue legally here.

honey, rakuten, and capital one shopping are all useful in specific instances but of them, it's rakuten that's the best bang for buck when cashbacks hits and it's at least more up front in being a case of 'yeah you're selling data.' honey's particularly evil in that they seemed somewhat trustworthy due to the paypal connection but were just as scammy.

If you honestly believe the pay cut genuinely doesn't matter, then why do you think enacting it will do something?

it doesn't matter to any part of their living standards, no.
but it'd matter as a personal hit against them and the idea is more to do with taking something away from congress' wallet which is something they aren't used to at all.

they make $174,000 a year, that's accomplishes everything you asked for and then some. that's also not how so many magically make 10x that within a few years. and hey if they want to negotiate the idea of getting 10-20% more but in exchange zero insider trading and bribes after a certain value being garnished from their wages + removal of various positions, that's okay too. but now that's a negotiation between two positions as opposed to a "suggestion."

no, i've pit two things against each other: get your raises and stop being corrupt, or be corrupt and eat the pay cut that genuinely doesn't matter. will even define the corruption as bribes and insider trading. obviously the former is better but you ain't gonna have it happen without the issue of congress and money being front and center

no, it's that if they're gonna be corrupt then they don't need to be paid as much by tax dollars.
perfectly fine with them having their paycheck go up if they aren't allowed to do things like insider trading. that clearly isn't happening though so might as well force it instead of a wishy-washy "oh if we pay them more they won't be corrupt." yes, yes they will because they're allowed to be.

referring to a specific example of "what congress wants." these days every time these bills come up, congress gives themselves a raise. that's another big trend of the legislation.

my position there is fuck 'em, they don't need that raise. they're doing insider trading as is and making their money that way. one of the things that was actually cut in that 90% was that part where they'd give themselves a raise which i'm happy with and would go a step further and say they should have their wages cut instead because 1) that's not the main source of income by any means, and 2) if they're already cheating the system then the system should have less for them.

clearer?

i'm definitely in the 90%+ cut is way better camp. you can have nuance without being longer than lord of the ring and it's bullshit to run long ass bills nobody can read. the idea of defending it at all is absurd as it should be the other way around: you need to justify why you need 1600 pages in the first place. the weight on that is 100% on the camp saying they'd need a document which requires months to comb through properly over a document that needs days. i don't believe there's any reasonable, good faith position you can have to justify a bill that long. so yes, 116 > 1600. if you want to argue that there's more that could be put in that'd make it better, that's fair, but the starting point is absolutely wrong and backwards.

i mean if nothing else the new bill being literally less than 1/100th is a step in the right direction. if 1600 pages can become 116 pages within a day then something was really, really wrong with the first. laws that can actually be read is a huge step up.

for CT this means speed and magic tabs into Robo because he gets hilariously busted in that game with them.
for Metaphor it's hoarding until NG+ because stat ups weirdly do not transfer over, yet items do.

Ads have massively diminishing returns - the Kamala campaign outspent the Trump by miles running ads and more ads and it got them nowhere.

in fairness, she ran some really shitty ads. hell, the one ad that scored extremely well and resonates well with people, addressing rent and groceries right in the first line, was barely used. on this end she absolutely had a terrible campaign because she couldn't escape being viewed as more of the same, despite having ads that could've suggested she was better than that.

i'd say "brainwashing" is just too strong a term for what happens. ads aren't meant to do that, but to either plant or reinforce the idea of something. this isn't exclusive to youtube either and if you want a good example of kids being hit with it, just use the one that we've been hit with when we grew up: college.

you absolutely know people who would have been better served with a trade school but college was so heavily pushed and recommended that choice was done instead. that's an ad.

but the idea of internet ads/propaganda doing something is... well yeah, of course they do. ideas are being said (or seen, in the case of memes), planted, reinforced, and when it clicks with somebody it does its job in affecting them. they aren't brainwashed but they're thinking of things in a slightly different way, or focused on a slightly different issue. the reason it resonates is a different question entirely, the point is to have that moment of "...hm."

These issues might not affect your state, but it's brewing very negative sentiments in MA. We continue down this path a lot of blue states will turn red.

NYC is pretty much in the same boat for the record.
i mean the entire state as a whole shifted a good 5% but NYC specifically went 8% more in his favor and, when broken down further, poorer/working class areas like the Bronx and Queens went 22% more in his direction. even Manhattan went 10% more towards him. just a very significant margin pushed in his direction and it's no surprise that when asked it's basically all the same immigration stuff being said here as well as the economy, though they dovetail real quick when benefits get involved. legit makes nyc more unaffordable.

i think generally most people can agree that the "we" of the US has the resources.
the problem is that "we" isn't the one who's paying and you're asking for a massive change that does absolutely nothing to people dealing with the worst of the issue here and now. there's a bigger issue of income inequality and the class war, totally. hell, you don't need to look further than the massive support the healthcare ceo's death got, across the political spectrum just people going "yep, fair."

but on the ground floor, it's shit. it's the same with the whole rising wages, that's not really felt all that much for the working and lower class, especially the ones on benefits or are looking for non-existent jobs because that also is crap. it comes off as a lot of gaslighting from people in middle or upper class because while their situations are okay or even improving, with plenty of opportunity, those below aren't and there's a massive difference of reality.

for illegal immigration it ends up becoming a case of "okay, what's different now from then. i'm losing money. new people are arriving, illegally, with no reason to be here, and are taking money, getting free perks. these happen at the same time. it needs to stop." it's not much more complicated than that. in theory there's more money to support this, in practice people are asking them to starve and suffer, then say that they're voting against their best interest.

for what it's worth, living in nyc and also familiar with people on benefits, he's 100% on point. no, we don't have the resources. not the "we" who end up paying and dealing with the fallout of having a couple hundred thousand more people. nyc's been fairly vocal on how migration is killing us, probably one of the only issues people agree with adams here. doesn't take much to see it either, can just ask people on benefits how they're doing now to how they were doing years ago, how difficult the process has been, how long the wait has been, etc. you can come up with big picture theoretical ideas but for functional, practical answers? yeah, stopping illegal migration is a start.

It's the worst drivel you can ever imagine, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it is observably killing her willingness and ability to learn. I have to limit her to less than 30 minutes at a time or else she goes full hypnotoad.

this reminds me of those videos covering how cocomelon is literally a drug for toddlers.
don't have any kids yet but already know that i'll have to basically curate any videos seen to avoid a lot of youtube shit.

if you've got a trackpad or whatever that's different. i realized that i honestly haven't willingly used a mouse whose DPI is under 3000 in years and got to wondering what everyone else uses theirs on. Hell, when doing the settings for the new wireless mouse I realized that 12k didn't feel too bad only to find out my default wired one was already at 16k, at some point i must've bumped it up from 9k. for gaming it's a nice sweet spot but not worried too much usually and i've no issue with games like DRG with it even at the higher DPS thresholds.

then i check online and see i miiiight be the anomaly on this so now i'm just wondering what everyone else does. and no, i barely move my wrist at all, it's largely little movements of the mouse because, well, it has to be at that point.

(new mouse goes up to 12k, my settings are split from 3k/6k/9k/12k and 3k feels really slow but functional)
