Granted, I dont really have any desire to play a Bethesda game for the last decade, but Ive got 25 mods running for Cyberpunk 2077 right now, no issues whatsoever and theyve made for a better experience.

Mod Organizer, which youre supposed to use for Bethesda game, has much more sophisticated ways of recognizing conflicts and overriding mod order etc.

You do know the expiration date on the packaging of anything is void as soon as you open the package, right? Mayo is more stable than other things but you should still use it within a couple months of opening it.

No. You can argue the Steam Deck is, but PCs dont have the same ease of use for normies to qualify as a dedicated console, at least not without someone setting it up for them.

Its still an objectively better platform for gaming, but thats not its purpose. It can do everything, but that requires some technical knowhow in many cases.

I agree, but I dont care about watching football and enjoy eating, grilling wings, and hanging out.

If you have a gaming PC, the only reason to own an Xbox is for backwards compatibility to play a handful of older Xbox exclusives that havent been ported to PC (or been remastered and had their remaster released on PC, like the Master Chief Collection). The only games I can think of off the top of my head that fit this criteria and that Id want to play are Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, and Tenchu Z. That isnt worth $500 to me.

I considered buying a Series X for that purpose when it was on sale for $350, but the timing was bad as the prior month Id spent $1200 on a chamber vacuum sealer, accessories, and pouches, and the following month I spent about $1400 on a 41 quart pressure canner and a propane camp stove to use it on, so I decided I couldnt justify $350 at that time to play 3 games.

Because a lot of others are in the same boat. Thats one of the primary reasons Xbox isnt selling consoles worth a damn.

Im a PC gamer who gets to play all their games by default, so I have no particular reason to care either way.

By the way, anyone who hasnt read Christopher Ruocchios Sun Eater, go rectify this immediately. Its a criminally under know masterpiece, and the last book should be coming out in 2026 at the latest (the penultimate book comes out in April, but the eARC can be purchased from Abadan and its incredible).

Thats not how that works. I have that controller. The part that you can replace is basically the top of the stick. Stick drift happens in the module itself as far as Im aware.

If you want to avoid stick drift, get a controller with Hall Effect sticks, or get Hall Effect sticks for a controller you have and do the work of replacing them yourself.

The best one I know of is the Flydigi Vader 3 Pro, which I also have, but I dont know if it works with a PlayStation. It supports PC and Switch at least.

I dont own it or I could experiment. Some quick Googling says turning off Reflections in Options will massively boost frame rate, so that would be mandatory on Deck, but it doesnt sound like youre getting that far. Id make sure the Deck is up to date, reboot it, and try again.

Im currently reading Prophet of Edan, book 2 of the Edan Trilogy, and probably the third one next month. On the 10th, Ill start re-reading Fools Assassin, book 1 of Fitz and the Fool, the final sub-series in Realm of the Elderlings, which Ill finish the re-read of in April. In the next month or two Ill need to read Perils Gate, Wars of Light and Shadow book 6 I think. When time permits, Im probably going to do a Cosmere reading order, re-reading the little but Ive already read before getting to the stuff I havent.

Id also like to read Ryan Cahills The Bound and the Broken and Ken Lius Dandelion Dynasty, but Im not sure when.

I cant consider an iPhone until I can easily sideload YouTube Premium alternatives and wirelessly transfer my FLAC music to an iPhone and have the same quality experience Id have with ALAC.

I do love the iPad though, as I mainly use it to read books, and in my experience iOS has a reading app thets better than anything on Android (MapleRead SE), but it has things that annoy me. I dont know what fucking gesture does it, but sometimes I accidentally split my Safari window and cant figure out how to get it back into a single window without just closing one of them and navigating to where I was in a new tab on the other one.

Birthday cake for my brothers birthday a couple weeks ago. It was white with buttercream icing. We normally get half chocolate and half white with buttercream icing, but it wasnt ordered ahead of time and this was during the big snow, so we got what they had.

My vision is 20/200. Glasses dont help because the problem is not the corneas, its that ocular albinism fucked my retinas. Ive been told the only hope for treatment is injecting stem cells into the retinas and hoping they fix it, but they arent willing to actually attempt that.

As far as using computers and such goes, I just use higher DPI scaling, larger font sizes, and get closer to the screen as needed.

I was born legally blind so they wont give me a license. I just got a new bioptic telescope yesterday so I can start the long process of trying to get a license again, but it didnt work the last time I tried.

Id rather do mail-in, hut the only way we can do that here is by absentee ballot as far as Im aware, and I dont think I dont have a ride to the polling place counts as being absent.

No. My getting fucked over by the company I worked for after a string of financial struggles happened to coincide with my mother having a bad wreck, so I moved back in with my parents to take care of her and still live there, but in my bedroom. I cant drive due to being born legally blind, so currently Im in a state of symbiosis where Im physically dependent on my parents to get around and theyre financially dependent on me to make ends meet.

If the basement was cleared out and finished though, I could live down there, as its plumbed for a bathroom and has something of a kitchen area (theres a sink and a wood stove, and a coup,e of old refrigerators we use to keep extra stuff that wont fit in the main one, like hams around Thanksgiving and briskets and such).

Computers.

Im albino so I wont go gray apparently, but I started balding a couple years ago, and have been using Keeps to try and fight it, which is working decently.

All right. Still the money, because the government made a clerical error in 2012 and decided last year that mean I owe them $50K.

Im basically in the same boat. I want to play it as Ive never played any of them (loved Nocturne though), but I dont trust the release the complete edition a year or two later shenanigans not to fuck me over regardless of what leaks say.

The money. The puppy could swim better than me anyway (I can swim across, but if I stop Ill either learn to tread water or drown), and with that amount of money I could buy 200 puppies.

Maybe Ill catch up on my backlog before I die after all.
