I beat the Dark Aeons recently.
The only thing that's seriously pushing it is having to beat Earth Eater and Greater Sphere over 9000 times each to boost the luck stat. Getting Ribbon on more than one character would be up there too but petrify resist'll do.

Every other stat's your average Monster Arena grind.

Yeah, that's when you have the knowledge and tactic in mind.

I was going blind, stumpled upon them in the late game, tried to try hard them, got wrecked many, many, many, MANY times, and gave up.

If I had put at least half of that effort into the arena grind first, it would have been better.

I was like wiping dozens of times against the dark aions, but after 3 times dying to this swimming zombie dragon battle I was like "I hate you" and did something else instead (because not enough petrifiy resist).

Final Fantasy X added the Dark Aeons to the European/Australian version, which are evil versions of your summons that function as a total of 8 Superbosses (9 if you include Penance, who is unlocked after beating all of the Dark Aeons).

I was this days old that I learned that the dark Aions in FF X were eu/australia only.

I read many times about people talking about 100% the game with all superbosses and such, and I was always like "this feels like a insane pain in the ass".

These dark aeons were insane, and really demotivated me in the post game because I was obviously lacking stuff like MP1, HP expander or hit expander items.

And if you missed some hidden stuff the first time, some of them are outright blocking it. Fuck you dark shiva.

I mean, the line doesn't have 9 dashes but 8, it's no border at all because it's not closed, it just goes away from some fantasy "Asia" with no similarity with the real asia except it's on the eastern side of the world map, and "China" isn't even written on the map at all.

After 36 hours of playing, I think I finally got the hang of this.

I've switched to real time combat which makes the fights go by quicker.

Lets see how long you will stick with real time combat.

It's not like that the fights are going to be harder over time, but you will have to manage more and more abilities with every level up.

The last topic here, a week ago or something, was a bit more heated. Everyone (most) was sure that the movie / WB was catering or shilling for China, because such things don't happen "by chance".

Yes, and I think I got pretty far compared to most other kids that age.

I even reached the blue whale at the southpole.

The game was fully english, and I didn't know english at that time, so games like Ecco were the reason I wanted to learn english.

It's not just "one" article.

For every somewhat decent article out there you will find dozens of bullshit articles. Sometimes wrong, sometimes clickbait with 0 content put into hundreds of deceiving words filled with dozens of adds, sometimes outright lying.

And honestly, I wont hold back with saying that.

Sure, personal attack unreleated to that is wrong and should never be done, and it's also wrong to search for bullshit articles just to harrass them, but if I see bullshit, I don't see an issue with others calling it out.

There are two problems.

1) Journalists can always be bad.

The problem is if I read a journalist writing about something I'm expert on, I may say "yeah, okay, that's plausible".

But if it's a topic I'm familiar with, the number of times I was reacting with "wtf is this bullshit?" is way too high.

If it's about gaming, there are just way too many people knowing what the journalists are talking about.

But that's a general journalist problem.

The actual issue with gaming journalists is this:

2) the amount of bullshit clickbait articles is just way too high. For real. If you want information, "gaming journalists" are the 100% worst source you could use at any time ever.

I don't think that he got too many appeasements.

Yesterday he said that he would more or less trade Sweden into Nato for Turkey into EU.

Only a few hours later the "deal" was done, way too fast for some serious EU talks. I expect that this crossed a line, and got told a nice version of "fuck off".

I expect that now Sweden is going to be in favor of resuming the talks of Turkey joining EU, and these talks will be "wtf, bring your economy and legal system to our minimum standards"

Yeah, tho I have picked some Chaotic choices. I intended to be Neutral but I haven't chosen many Neutral dialogue options. To be clear, the neutral options are the ones that aren't marked as anything, right? (Good, Lawful, Evil, etc.)

Yeah, I probably wouldn't have picked Trickster anyway so I suppose it's no big loss.

There are technically no "neutral" options, as in moving your alignment towards neutral.

If fully lawful is 100, and fully chaotic is 0, then neutral would be 50. So, 0-33 is chaotic, 34-66 is neutral, 67-100 is lawful, and each lawful/chaotic options changes your score.

If you don't select any lawful/chaotic option, you will always stay as lawful as you are right now.

So, being neutral is more about mixing chaotic and lawful equally, at least in terms of gameplay mechanics.

Same with good/evil.

Don't overvalue these alignment descriptors of the dialogoptions. Executing traitors may be lawful, but it may conflict with your concept of good, so just select what feels right for your character.

Speaking of Woljif, I did his quest and am unsure what happened. So he was the traitor after all and I condemned an innocent thief (oxymoron?) to being tortured and killed? >_>

There was someone who betrayed them, in form of calling the guards on them, getting them caught in the first place.

EDIT: inb4 I remembered it completly wrong. It's already been quite some time.

I've finished all the red hourglass quests except for storming the Gray Garrison which ends Act 1 if I'm understanding right. Are there any quests I should do before I do that or can the rest wait? I did all the Errands and two of the companion quests so far.

Trickster is basically the definition of chaotic neutral Harlekin for the lulz.

If you locked yourself out of Trickster or Lich, don't worry, you probably would not have picked them anyways.

In my first playthrough I missed a lot too, simply because I sticked so much in character that I even said "fuck you" to such an inhonorable thief like Wolfjif.

Dragoons win by default for me, and Kain is THE Dragoon.

The big thing with AI is, it's so fast and so sudden.

You only have to go a year , maybe two, into the past, and people would have told you that this is something that no one has to worry, and that there is no way that a computer is going to do any creative work at all.

I mean, take a look at how long we have vocaloids like Hatsune Miku out there singing stuff, and how many people cared about that.

But suddenly, everyone is able to produce such stuff in somewhat decent quality.

And with "somewhat decent", I mean "better than stuff that some professionals try to sell you".

It went from "our job is secure, there will always be demand" to "our whole industry is doomed" within a few months.

Deny.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate my job at all, but if I had enough money to retire, the first thing I would do is retire.

Maybe I would do a similar job with less hours per week, but definitly not the current one with costumer contact.
