in many cases the domestic dispute is called because one fears it will escalate to a potentially lethal situation.

so no, it wouldn't. they also would need to be armed. non lethal will resolve some instances but not as much as the possibility of also lethal force will.

reform the police has always been supported pretty heavily. body cams for instance had something like a 90% approval, 80% or so want outside investigations for police conduct instead of internal investigations, etc. those stats would be years old by now too so it's not a new thing. there's a lot of reform that is popular, immensely popular even, so it's a matter of specific issue as opposed to an overall idea. certain specifics are going to get next to nothing.

example, defunding in the recent poll from a week ago had a 16% approval.
disband would logically be even lower.

i don't think the Virginia driver case got mentioned much in here, if at all before today. did about 5 minutes of google and twitter, didn't find a video of what was being said. that one went under the radar in favor of the cases with video.

car driving in.
slows down as people come by.
purposefully is avoiding to hit people as it comes to a stop.
mob then surrounds car, one guy reaches into his car through the window and that guy gets shot in the arm.
said gunshot scatters some people but not everyone.

it's after that where other videos exist showing the driver then gets out with his gun as he circles the car.

reach into a car, get shot. if he wanted to attack the mob he had plenty of opportunity but the only person shot was the guy who specifically assaulted him and put him at risk. so that's entirely fair.

if you're wondering why he circles the car then leaves through the crowd, it's because we see he went immediately to the police, hands up, and got arrested. the guy instantly turned himself in.

first guess i'm taking on this: Minneapolis has a major outbreak and people who travel in and out of it should immediately quarantine.

i'd say the basic line to divide of bad and anything else is best defined in how into war you are. and that's something you're going to find across all networks, across left and right. can escalate from there to presentation of data, amount of bad data used, amount of love towards corporations, etc to see just how much of a propagandist they are. on those elements, Tucker ends up being way better than most of his competition.

it's not about holding back, it's that if protests are going to have stated limits like that then they're no different from any other. they are, fundamentally, the same. the intent of the people gathering does not matter for the facts here, only the fact that they're gathering does. so you can't really impose one rule for another.

besides, the obvious rebuttal is "then this is a protest of that order." boom, 100 people anytime. "i open my business in protest" -> enjoy your 100 person allowance. it's too dumb to be taken seriously by anyone. the loosest restriction will be the restriction.

military would typically be used with the support of the state, so they'd be under the state directives.
trump can technically send them in to defend federal laws but that'd create a lot of room for error and make it way more complicated. i'm assuming people are presuming the former, not the latter.

that or, with the case of Republicans and a lot of independents, many disapprove of Trump being weak and doing photo ops in churches instead of actually getting shit under control. an actual show of strength would bring his numbers up across the board. way more than, say, being in a fucking church.

dude was purposefully standing there, with a kid on his shoulders, as cops asked him if he wanted to go somewhere else, as people are actively throwing shit at them, meaning he's the one putting the kid at risk. if that's the dad, some real "father of the year" shit.

to his credit, the photographer did edit the description a couple times. but he knows what he posted and he knows why it's viral. and considering how viral it is, good to know the actual narrative as opposed to the lie.

also know of a different fake case - one was initially claiming a 13 year old got gunned down by cops. but he was holding a gun and was given a minute to drop the gun but refused to. also he had killed two people already. also he was 34. just a little different.
