both are going to have similar supply issues with the biggest difference lying in temperature. they're both mRNA so they're sharing one of if not THE most difficult parts of the supply line, which is upscaling a new type of vaccine that's only been meant for lap work to global mass production. they're both screwed on this so ultimately, this won't really be a factor.

i mean Moderna should be easier just because it only needs normal refrigeration levels compared to at least a constant supply of dry ice. that'll enable transport to be MUCH easier every step of the way but just don't expect this to have that much of an impact compared to just making a constant supply.

pretty sure even years ago the N64 was considered the worst Nintendo system, with everyone ignoring stuff like Virtual Boy. from there the Wii often got that title even though it has one of the strongest first party libraries and had some of the best third party for Nintendo consoles - Switch, SNES, and NES are the only ones better on that. it just has ungodly amounts of shovelware, wiimote is hit or miss, and there's a stigma it never recovered from for being "too kiddy" and "too casual." currently i guess the Wii U is considered the worst but i assume it'll get some respect later when people break down just how much of the Switch's library is due to the Wii U's first party strength.

3DS port of Wooly World isn't a better game so i don't count it as a result. when the port is superior sure but in that case it isn't, basically am just taking the emulation standard to it: on which system would this best be to play? a handheld port that plays worse just doesn't make that cut. i do still disagree with this standard being applied since it's unfair to the systems as it's not taking their library into consideration as-is, it's looking at what they've got in the future. still is one that can be used though so that's just grumblings of different approaches.

also if being followed up by a system that yoinks your game, you've gotta take out some of the Gamecube's best games.

RE4 - better on Wii
Pikmin 1 and 2 - better on Wii

though granted, Wii U to Switch was a lot more drastic in a really short generation. it just says a lot that the Switch is rated so highly when the Wii U is rated so lowly, despite the reason for its quality library being largely because of the Wii U games.

Yeah the Wii U actually had a stunningly strong line-up of then-exclusives, but the fact that almost every single notable one has been ported to something else at this point (or in the cases of Smash and Splatoon, obsoleted by sequels that include almost everything from the originals) makes it basically an orphaned console. There's no chance it will experience the afterlife popularity that the Cube has had. Were it not for all the ports, it absolutely could have gone down as a console that saw a surge in popularity 10 years later.

definitely the case for it, though i don't think that means it should be lower as a result. it's normal for consoles to get their best games ported eventually and shouldn't be a knock against them. surprised the WIi U is getting ranked so low consistently considering it also has a fairly strong first party library. especially if you're gonna say Twilight Princess is a Gamecube game since that means Breath of the Wild is a Wii U game. looking at the first party...

haven't heard this one. can think of three directions this one is but maybe there's something i'm not familiar with.
1) mRNA ignorance. this is fair as it's only 3 years old in human testing but a bit of reading and talking to professionals can go a long way. i mean she won't but still.

2) weird rumors that didn't make sense anywhere. i think i saw one talking about fertility issues but uhhh that's covid. and in men. this one dovetails into the above and i'd expect some stuff to be spread here, particularly complications of those with autoimmune disorders being pushed onto everyone else.

2) AstraZeneca issues. this one's been in news for a bit because they had to stop trials once and have a lawsuit occurring in India because someone said they got neurological and psychological damage. of course as you go down the telephone line you lose which vaccine is being talked about and apply it to all of them, even though they're extremely different.

if there's a fourth or other rumors i dunno.

we're literally asking for the greatest undertaking ever on supply chains, on a new vaccine, using new technology, during a pandemic when they've been notoriously busted, where one vaccine needs extreme temperatures (which also has limited supply) and another still needs refrigeration. of course they're not gonna hit targets! it's impossible. realistically, the end of April situation is hoping all the people in the early groups (doctors, elderly, etc) who want to take it have taken it. public at large is nowhere close to this nor is it believed to be that way.

also getting this out the way now - there will be reports of the vaccine not working at all and it will be entirely because supply lines didn't work the way they were supposed to. this leads to another series of questions: what happens to the vaccine if temperature conditions fail? how does that affect a person if that's what they're injected with? what differences in temperature and time are seen in this? we're gonna get those answers regardless but ideally we'll know an idea beforehand (we won't, this will be a shitshow when it happens).

counterpoint: there isn't a single vaccine comparable to the ones we're talking about. not in process, not in speed. mRNA vaccines are new for human testing - we're talking the earliest known trials coming out in 2017 with none on the market or in widespread usage. so if you're looking for something to somewhat compare it to you're honestly gonna have to go back at least mid 1900s and i don't think that's particularly fair to it since our ability to analyze is significantly better than it was back then. i'm not gonna compare it to older vaccines that have fallen out of style for the same reason, we didn't know what the exact risks were at the time either. for now, this is an unknown and you're asking for a citation on a new type of vaccine being put to use on a massive scale that's developed in under a year for a virus that's existed for about a year. literally nobody knows what kind of long term effects that can have.

of the limited research we know on mRNA vaccines, those with autoimmune disorders are probably the ones most at risk. inflammation is a known concern but i don't know how big an impact that is or how it can affect those with other conditions.

Going back to the vaccine thing, I absolutely am afraid of the vaccine. I know it's because I have a very hard time processing low probability events on an intuitive level, but I am sort of terrified if I get the vaccine I will get COVID from the vaccine and die.

if it's the mRNA ones (Pfizer, Moderna) this isn't a concern since it's not injecting you with COVID. you do get sick afterwards but it's for a few days and relatively minor, though we do need more info. long term effects remain unknown but it's not COVID at least. fortunately we'll be getting a lot more data quick in the next few months; Pfizer meets with the FDA on the 10th, Moderna soon after, and that's when data will start getting independently analyzed and sorted though. i think we're generally in the same age bracket so unless you're in some sort of priority position (e.g., doctor, nurse) you aren't going to even have the option until at least spring so just pay attention there.

this is also why i think the supreme court stuff is going to fall short in many ways.

i wouldn't associate this with anti-vax and honestly that's a huge mistake because it gives them way more justification and reasonableness. calling it that is just wrong; it's a new vaccine with a new procedure on an unprecedented timeline for a new virus, of course you should be suspicious and skeptical of it. that's normal.

there was another study that showed almost 50/50 and of the people who said they wouldn't take it, only 12% aligned with anti-vax reasons. everyone else was a variety of things that largely fall under "distrust." personally that's also where i am - i ain't beta testing shit. lemme see how people are months in, maybe a year (or two!), before i inject myself with anything. fortunately a healthy adult male in his 30s is pretty low on priorities and there'll be a lot of data and opinions of people in their 40s+ by the time i'd consider anything. by then i'd expect there to be a lot of advancements on the virus, treatments, and have a more exact view of what the vaccines are individually doing.

the age thing is also easy to explain without falling into conspiracies there: if you're younger you're less at risk of the negative effects of corona and need to worry more about the long term ones a vaccine can give. if you're 65+ of course the former's a bigger deal for you. that's just a logical answer.

unemployment extension was basically the remaining summer months, it was over by the time fall hit. no extra benefits have been added since then federally and probably not even in any state.

technically this favors the older dates only because history afterwards can have a direct line to it. the closest thing to a Smash spinoff would be something like that chinese gacha game that was posted on B8 a couple days ago, the one with devil mario and stuff. it's apparently actively in development and has been for quite some time, though it's not Nintendo. just China being China.

that said if Nintendo did this they probably wouldn't call it Smash either, even if it uses the same roster. technically there was a chance of it having a spinoff series but instead they just built Amiibos into the games directly. does feel like cheating a bit there since it's an entirely different mechanic being added outside of the main game that is its own collection game with unique moveset changes, however it's just still built into the game.

I very much doubt this. Sure, The only reason Derek Chauvin is in any trouble whatsoever because he was filmed. But even then, its more that he was filmed going way over the line. Indefensively over the line. Body cameras are not going to stop police from being able to say that they felt threatened or that they thought a victim had a weapon. Even if the camera shows otherwise, weve given the police so much authority that its difficult to argue against a claim of fear for ones life.

good example but not for the reason you're thinking: the body cams in the Derek Chauvin case are also what are basically making the case a trial of manslaughter 2 or walking. if we relied on that instead of random people in the street more for trials, we'd be fighting over manslaughter 2 or negligent homicide, which should be where the case lies. the murder charges are basically dead in the water right now. he'll be caught on other stuff too mind you, stuff related to taxes and conspiracy, but on floyd's death the police body cams are a solid defense for him against the footage everyone has seen. as a result, this is why cops should also be 100% in favor of body cams because it gives them a defense to things that seem completely indefensible.

corrik's describing the NYC school system financials pretty well there too, i'd assume this is the standard. will differ on amount on specifics but it's typical for it to be paid per student attending and the type of student. student has an IEP? get paid more. there's a few other roles that change too, like the number of teachers you need to have or the number of paras you can have; if there's multiple schools in the building this will affect staffing of security, food, and janitors. schools being closed cuts paychecks, funding, and i do wonder where the extra money is going instead, though they're fully aware that cuts are coming.

a check to cover lunches or internet would be pretty nice, i'm not sure we do that but we do offer free food and extend it by giving free food to adults after hours too - really nice program. hell, give students a subscription to udemy or something too while you're at it because they sure as fuck ain't learning anything right now. gonna have at least 2 years of an utter joke of an education. if you're gonna be inept at online education at least throw in a contract for companies that specialize in this because it ain't working.

this is all ignoring the rest of the topic around schools and just the money side/some gripes with the busted nature of online right now, there's other elements that have pros and cons (e.g., its use as a babysitting tool vs. getting a stronger relationship with your children) that are gonna make the future really weird.

can confirm.
been like that since april, the addition of plastic to seal everything is newer but places have been adding that in since september and weather hasn't changed much. before that we still had some air but plastic tents with more openings were normal.

as for being porn like... it's still the main thing the site's known for. like i said before there's some changes happening here but it's not there yet. Cardi B the biggest since she explicitly said nothing is R18; Bella Thorne kind of in the middle since she went for rauchy but not nude; Zelina Vega same deal but got fired as WWE called the site out by name. one new example actually sprung up after this topic got made: Michael B Jordan said on Kimmel that he's starting one to support barber schools.

as more celebs and people get involved that don't put adult content, the site's going to be less and less known for that. but you're about a year or two too early and the moderators/admins a year or two too late.
