sure there has, michigan had two districts flip results: one gave a net of 6500 votes in Trump's favor, the other gave the Republican rep who said he was conceding the night before the win. when people said that yeah it's really sketchy to go 138k to 0 in an update, they were right, it was a mistake. wasn't hard to say "hey, this looks wrong" and blindly acting like everything's on the up and up only makes things worse for everybody.

regardless of all that, nothing changes that it's a legal dispute. it is being challenged in courts, it is being audited, it is being recounted, it is in dispute. your opinion to that end ain't relevant, let the process finish and then it won't be.

i think you asked why they're targeting Michigan yesterday and i'd say that's one reason why: Antrim County went from +4000~ Biden to +2500 Trump due to a software issue. said software is supposedly used in 47 MI counties and a number of states. ultimately they're going for a hand recount and audit, which is basically what Georgia is doing.

as usual, there's a little bit of truth and then it goes from there. true part: company does have leadership with heavy ties to Dems, including the head of security, who was very anti-trump.

however the most important part is the name of that head of security: Eric Coomer.

oh dems are still favored in the house, it looks like they're keeping that majority. but it's by a very small margin, in the single digits, meaning their 30+ buffer is completely gone now. it's really ugly there for the dems, i thought the general margin was 6-10 but right now it's looking to be 10-14 seats getting flipped. they got wrecked pretty badly here.

senate meanwhile has 50 GOP on it, so Georgia will determine majority there with its races. they win 1, they keep. they lose both, they're 50/50, Kamala tiebreaker so Dem majority. that'd be their only other win from election day if they succeed because state governments also went with the GOP.

yeah that's in no way accurate. i think this election has done a good job in saying polling is definitely skewed and there's a significant gap between what people say and what people do.

especially for masks. 'oh yeah we'll comply, but i'm still gonna take it off to eat, drink, smoke, talk on the phone, or when i'm hanging out with friends.' like there's many, many parts of NYC that just plain ain't wearing 'em that much, including areas that used to be hot spots (i don't know current ones because i don't go there). other areas do wear usually but still have the above exceptions.

Crowder legit pulls in numbers. he outdid everyone for post-election coverage online, we're talking 400k concurrent on youtube alone, not including anything BlazeTV. he's making nothing on advertising but that's gotta translate to money through subscriptions or merch.

for what it's worth he does speak out of both ends of his mouth and his argument mainly comes down to let the process go through, let's get good data, and let's see the results after audits, recounts, and court challenges. so that audience shouldn't be as much of a problem come late december. you'll definitely have your fringe or your group that says the books were cooked too well, that's true.

the senate republicans will definitely have an excuse to obstruct, that's going to be a thing. some will say trump should've won too, guaranteed. but most extreme worries - civil war - should be gone by then because even if biden were to be viewed as illegitimate there would be other concerns and other things to be mad about (e.g., lockdowns).

russian ones tend to be spotted pretty easily and they honestly don't throw that much money in.
chinese would be the more difficult ones. also love to start shit but they've drastically improved, probably because they throw more money into it, already try to usurp culture as is, and have much, much better ties to native speakers.

Obamacare being argued before SCOTUS now. Kavanaugh seems very skeptical about the plaintiffs' arguments to strike it down. Asked why Congress in 2017 would repeal part of the law but not the rest if Congress intended the repealed parts to be inseverable. It's a good argument - Congress itself severed the law in 2017.

yeah, i doubt SCOTUS will strike it down but they may strike down the mandate. just the fact that congress can easily make that decision on their own says there should be no issue.

ain't a progressive but you basically answered your own question in here.
say 50% of people were there to party, it means 50% weren't.
of that 50% who were, a bunch of them failed or dropped out. there's also a matter of who paid for it here - there's a good chance that those who just went to party came from well off families in the first place. but if you're figuring half of those got culled then 75% of people were either serious about it or got a degree.

so the answer you're left with is just:

• forgiveness happens upon completion of a degree, this eliminates those who just went to party and failed.
• you can make additional qualifiers for certain humanities by including grad school.
• this would realistically apply to public colleges so private ones, which are where the major parties occur and the largest concentration of wealth, are irrelevant.

AZ also had a bug in the reporting. when they, and everyone else, thought that the state was over 90%, they weren't. at 98% they said they were really at 86% and the system was wrong.

problem: that article was dated November 2nd, before election day. results may well already be in the totals.

thing is people ain't posting the article. just the video. so while the data's factually true the timing is totally worthless, unless you're arguing about things hitting trump more. which i mean, okay. maybe. or maybe it just seems that way because the shit that hit biden ain't getting looked at since he's winning and doesn't need to look for it.

it was a thing but also a mistake and was misleading.
a site that was updating totals was putting in some aggregate results. as they did a 0 was added at the end, so instead of adding about 14k to his totals, it said 140k. people freaked out, it got looked into, and it didn't actually impact anything because it was also spotted internally right after, with the adjustment visibly there in votes being "taken away" from biden as a result of said typo. basically people saw a screencap of a database update but didn't see the rest of the database update.

The explanation was that those remaining votes happened to be in major cities in swing states, and major cities typically go Democratic, and also mail-in votes tend to be Democratic.

yeah, that's the gist of it. though it's less mail in "tend to" go Dem and "overwhelmingly" go Dem. 60/40 splits minimum, 80/20 for city ones, it's firmly in that party.

1) Why were the swing states the last to be counted? I know PA had some court judgment saying they could count votes up until, like, next week due to the mail. But what about the other states like Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, and North Carolina?

i don't think there's any state that's 100% done with the count. it usually isn't done until a week or two, what you see on election day are broad results with easy to get numbers and that's good enough most of the time. when it's a close race more work needs to be done to get accurate results, which is where we are now. bugs, errors, mistakes all happen, sometimes drastically within a district that flips thousands of votes, and this is all examined in the following days. ballot issues get found, minor fraud gets found, results get adjusted accordingly. bear in mind this isn't as simple as "he voted for X president" either, they need to be mindful of the full ballot as well as what type of ballot it is as some may be segregated pending legal challenges. an accurate tabulation takes time.

regarding PA, they had a court decision saying that they couldn't count any mail in votes until the day of the election. so all that stuff they had just piled up and it's just a steady flow of data.

80% of the US population is in cities and a mix of early numbers + trends will rapidly make it clear which way they're going. there's a LOT of ballots to count and it's not really as efficient as the other areas which are easier to put together, will paint a broader picture, and give you a more complete result of the state. most cities probably aren't done yet but they don't need to be either to know which way they're going. after a certain point it's just irrelevant padding.

Dems typically take covid more seriously, they're willing to trust mail-in voting more.
Republicans don't trust the system and would rather go in person.
