Part of it here is still generational.

She is the youngest of 7 but they were a transitional generation where the women were starting to be expected to work and have a career but idealistic life was still "find a good husband and serve them".

Abuse is never okay, but I will never understand why a survivor would go back to their abuser.

In my aunts case, she was the breadwinner and became convinced if she divorced she'd lose her livelihood. Then she became convinced she'd lose her kids. Nowadays she is just delusional and clearly become a bit of the emotional abuser to her two adult children. Telling them that things are their fault and the like.

I don't know what it was like before I was born, but the abuse goes back to quite some time before that(I am 38).

The annoying thing is that- supposedly- you're not supposed to confront the abused partner about their bad relationship, you're just supposed to be quietly open to helping them once they realize they need to change. Otherwise they dig in their heels, or something.

Yeah not a lot to be done, you try to quietly help but it doesn't work, and her and the kids would never speak out when it might matter with the authorities.

I'm fine with the mostly futile attempts to help, but forcing us to be complicit with the sneaking around is a step further than I am comfortable with.

Nah. 22. Relatively young but she is messed uo a good bit. Incredibly book smart, graduated college. But maturity level and social skills and just general world knowledge very low. No concept of value.

Was having a conversation about pizza yesterday, snd she was complaining about the lack of good pizza places near her college. Said they were all cheap. Asked her what she wanted and she complained there was no Little Ceasars. The literal cheapest of cheap budget pizzas.

As level as she can. But the signs of abuse are obvious, she has trouble in social settings and sees everything in a negative light.

Lots of weird mannerism because her parents reinforced being different as good in a way to make everyone else look flawed. A way of making abuse seem worth it or normal. And unfortunately abused women can become complicit in that abuse being inflicted on their children.

Long story short my aunt and her daughter (my cousin, obv) came with us to Vegas for my other cousins soccer tournament this weekend.

But really she came so that today she could stay here with her abusive husband, whom she had told her daughter she had left, for some of the rest of the week.

Her daughter had recently moved out(and her son awhile ago) and been staying with various family members after having the honest conversation that she was tired of the abuse(Both physically and verbally. We think it may have been worse than that, but only theory).

My aunt had moved into an apartment so her daughter would move back in with her, under the pretense that she'd left her husband too. We all figured and recently confirmed it was a lie(and found out yesterday her daughter.was oblivious).

But to use us to continue her abusive relationship is disappointing to say the least. Short of it is her daughter is coming back with us while my aunt stays here(and maybe gets beat to heck, who knows). Skipping out on my cousins last soccer game here so her husband can pick her up and take them to a different hotel for their stay. We are making our way home after the game.

The goal is to have as many agencies fail as possible to increase privatization and thus generate more profits for themselves.

Doing good things for the World is good, actually.

We have a relatively small portion of the population that actually give a shit. Even most people that are upset at the state of things are just kind of tuning it out and assuming it will get better.

If you can actually count cards you can create a winning expectation but doing it on a professional level will absolutely get you banned from a casino.

His mobility is countered by anyone with AoE or an autoaim.

As long as healers understand the buddy system and one dps or tank pays attention Spider-Man isn't that bad.

Best of the assassin's for sure when played well but manageable.

Also it isn't community perception but I maintain cloak as the worst ult of the luna/mantis/cloak trio.

Mainly because she has to telegraph her position once she starts a dash. The amount of times I've seen cloak get dropped mid ult is quite high. Meanwhile Luna/Mantis start zooming around surrounded by their team that can just ball forward.

Jeff is bad but I thought we all had moved past the mindset that Rocket is a bottom tier healer. The only bad thing about Rocket right now is his ult. And honestly he probably makes up for that by having the best support team-up with Punisher and Winter Soldier.

I was catching bans when I would show Rocket because the community is determined defensive ult or gtfo.

So i had to start showing Jeff.

Loki is low key broken he just requires more time investment to learn.

Just give Jeff and Rocket's movement skills a sprint timer like Widow IMO.

I mean Rocket has 2 jetpack dashes too, does he really need an infinite wall climb on top of that.

You are trying to weaken bottom tier healers.

Pair a dive character with a moon knight or squirrel or something and coordinate burst and you can instakill most healers.

Neither one of these characters are unkillable and neither one can heal while using their mobility skill.

You 1 to 1 turned off a healer if you got them going up a wall.

Also XIV is kind of in a bad place. The storyline has been in a bad place since everything after the Endwalker launch, the content formula is stagnant, the additional content they've added has all flopped, and none of the endgsme fights have felt like original concepts.

FF14 has never figured out how to actually have an economy.

Other than people literally whoring themselves out nothing has ever had consistent or reasonable value.

issues that honestly should've warranted a recall but they didn't; supposedly it's all patched now but i wouldn't bother. 15th gen doesn't have that issue but it's also kinda weak so it's not

15th gen intel cpu is basically half the price of 13/14 when you factor in power consumption for a year for close enough performance. Mine at least runs incredibly cool so I'm hoping it'll last awhile.

You still dont buy it over an x3d chip if they are available but from my experience they got kind of a bad rap that they don't necessarily deserve.

Yeah gas was the big one, those prices really tend to go based on perception.

For us this was mostly a reminder to stock up the fridge normally.

Not hoarding anything, just making sure to not be behind. Also all signs point to egg prices continuing a steady increase.
