Free healthcare is not as good as people are making it out to be. In Canada, hospitals and doctors offices are crowded, and it's impossible to get seen. Some people in Canada even go to the US for medical care. Giving the US free healthcare would have some adverse effects.

I don't know how true this is, but from what I was seeing days before the VP pick, I would believe this. Even on CE, I saw a lot of this being shared, almost verbatim. Like the anti-Shapiro train ramped up significantly almost overnight.

It ramped up because Trump supporters. They weren't wrong. Shapiro had tons of skeletons in his closet. They would have gone after him. I personally didnt like Shapiro. He was way too center right for me.

Tim Kaine was arguably the worst pick for a VP ever. Not because he's unqualified, but because he's Tim fucking Kaine, arguably the most boring Senator in US politics. He added absolutely nothing to her ticket.

He may not be why she lost, but he absolutely didn't bring in a single vote, not even in Virginia. He had no brand at all to him. At least Joe Lieberman was a Connecticut Senator. That was another awful choice, but he was at least on TV and in the news now and then.
