Eh... it's an implication meant to lead on Anakin, not any actual proof that it's actually true. And even in Legends lore, he didn't create Anakin either. The Plagueis novel pretty directly states that Plagueis and Palpatine experimenting caused a backlash, which was the Force retaliating to create Anakin.

That's literally what they were supposed to be at first, that's what they were pitched as. JJ just can't tell any stories that aren't just retellings of something someone else did better.

The Disney continuity has not in fact said that Palpatine created Anakin. The one comic that did, both the author of the comic and one of the story group members were quick to point out that it might look that way when the page is taken out of context, but the whole issue itself makes it abundantly clear that it's all manifestations of Anakin's fears.

He didn't drug him to get the upper hand, he drugged him because it was the best way to catch him off-guard, on a night of celebration.

Which isn't even how it happens in canon anyway.

Worth noting that just because Daisy said that JJ wrote drafts for VIII and IX doesn't mean he actually did. He might have told her he did, but it's pretty clearly not true, given the absolute rushed hackjob that he did with TFA even with a six month extension. Maybe he wrote a couple ideas down, but he definitely did not write any actual finished rough drafts for followup films, especially since he wasn't supposed to be involved with IX at all.

And JJ also said that he read Johnson's script for TLJ and really wanted to direct that script himself.

The TIE Advanced/x1, Vader's starfighter, is about half the length of the Avenger according to the various sourcebooks, so it's definitely smaller inside. I don't believe the cockpit in Vader's TIE is supposed to be as big as the Avenger's.

Had a storm kill my PS5 in January. Hadn't been using it so didn't realize until late February. Tried to reset, download the boot image/update file from Sony's website, none of it worked. Took it to a local repair shop, come to find out it fried the APU (combined GPU/CPU chip on the motherboard), total loss. Not really. The BF2 what-if was basically the same events up to Mustafar, but Anakin beats Obi-Wan then backstabs Palpatine to become Emperor himself.

I have it on my look into more once it comes out and there are reviews list. That being said, Im still on my first Baldurs Gate 3 playthrough (started in the summer of 2024) and I have multiple other games on my list for once Im done, so it might be a while before I even go to the look into it list

Some of that appears to be conflating things. He did say after the PT he had no intentions of making more movies, that there'd be no 7-9, and at one point he did have it set in his will that there wouldn't be any sequels. But the specific note of saying he didn't want to make any more because of the way people were attacking him came much later, closer to Red Tails' release IIRC.

Was this clarified in a novel or something? The wiki seems to indicate Kylo called down a force storm to destroy the temple.

The entirety of the events are detailed in the comic The Rise of Kylo Ren. Wookieepedia has been... inaccurate in a lot of material and content for canon. Not a surprise, it took them a full year after the Legends announcement to muster a vote to make canon articles, and another year after that before it was actually implemented.

In any case, the comic itself is very plain in that after the confrontation with Luke, Ben walks out of the wreckage upset and screaming, asking why he did it, then the Temple lights up, then the page the article uses with the explosion, and on the next page he very explicitly says he didn't want this.

Oh. You are referring to Kylo's actions, not Sidious's.

Notably if you actually read the story, it is not in fact Kylo who did it. He might have been a conduit of sorts that allowed it it to be possible, but it very clearly shows he wasn't the one that called down the destruction of the Temple

I really didn't like the name change. It was so unnecessary. At the very least though, Korriban is still the "older/ancient" name that refers to the world even in Canon. So if KOTOR or something in the ancient past gets remade in the Canon universe in some former, Korriban is hopefully the name we get.

It has already been referred to as Korriban in other canon materials, established as an older name for the world. In Legends Korriban wasn't even the planet's original name to begin with, it was the name the Sith gave it.

Toon's assertions that Bane and Moraband wouldn't have happened under George is also incorrect, as those were part of the Lost Missions/Season 6 - episodes that were mostly completed before the buyout, that Disney let the team put out to "finish" the show in 2013. And Moraband itself is a name change that George himself came up with, because he thought that Korriban was too close in pronunciation to Coruscant. It's a word meant to be an alteration of "moribund," related to death or dying.

To be fair, S2 wasn't as good as S1, and most of the issues with S2, BoBF and S3 all come out of covid and the fallout from that.

I've got a bad feeling about this not living up to S1.

It definitely has a lot to live up to. But this show being four story arcs covering the remaining years up to R1/ANH really does hinder it.

I mean they do need to be held accountable to some extent. They had a billion dollar war chest, one of the biggest funding campaigns in history and still went over budget and were asking for more donations after the election was over. What did they do with it? Celebrity endorsements and concerts, just in an attempt to pull right wingers on board.

Certainly there's an issue at play even before getting into the likelihood of a stolen election, which Trump and Elon all but admitted to.

You can see the point where her campaign stumbles, and it's when they bring Hillary's advisors on board, and instead of actually doing good messaging, they block people trying to voice their opinions and repeat most of the same mistakes that Hillary's 2016 campaign did; only this time they didn't come out and say "it's her time."

Proton Mail is also owned by a Trumper (yes, even though the owner and company is Swiss), so maybe not use them.

It's okay for the first couple seasons but it gets derailed quickly by Caviezel being an absolute nutjob behind the scenes.

There hasn't been an additional delay. There have been only two delay announcements, one shifting from last September to mid February, and one earlier this month shifting it to late March.

I know this is the Internet and hate for Ubisoft is damn near a requirement, but at least be truthful.

185 people total is less than 1% of their workforce (Ubi doesn't outsource to other companies as much, hence why they have so many employees worldwide). They shut a single studio down that had 50 people working there, and the rest are targeted roles at several other small support studios. This is almost a nothingburger and would be if it wasn't for Internet hatred of the company.

Black, green, white, oolong, pu'er and yellow teas are all from the same plant (camelia sinensis), just harvested at different times and processed in different ways to allow for different oxidation amounts, and for the case of pu'er specifically is aged and fermented. Different locations are given different names, like an Assam tea has a different flavor profile than a Darjeeling, despite both being from India. And that's before we get into other treatments, like how lapsang souchong is smoked over local pine to give it a campfire smokiness flavor.

Tisanes are technically not teas, because they're not made from camelia sinensis.

Chai, the word itself, comes from Hindi. It's got a cognate with Turkish ay, probably because of trade imports.

There are Gen Z men who didn't understand why they weren't allowed to attend tech workshops meant to encourage more girls to get into tech. These boys grow up to think DEI was put in to harm them.

Or shit like that whole "the Force is female" thing - it was at film festival at an all-girls school, a program specifically designed to encourage women to get into the film industry in roles that are traditionally male-held but are easily done by women as well. But one wrong choice in phrasing and suddenly it's all toxic and anti-men.

And prions are stupidly stable too, you can't just use a chemical or even just fire to get rid of them, some can survive temperatures up to 1800 degree fahrenheit.

He touted his role in securing gains in the renewable sector, and by 2022 he was signing in thousands of new permits and legislation preventing renewable energy (wind farms) in 60 million acres in the Gulf of Mexico in favor of sales to oil and gas extraction.

Too little too late. He totally reversed on his campaign promise of no new drilling and fracking permits before his first year was up, resulting in thousands of new permits.

Netruunner is probably the most of build and very popular.

A lot of the game seems tailored to be netrunner builds of some kind anyway. Haven't tried Berserk or Sandy yet, but looks like breaching might be off the table if you do? Seems a good way to lock you out of some side content and iconics if you can't do the breach protocol stuff.

Biden did improve the economy, just the average person didn't feel the improvements. If Trump was president he would have handled the post pandemic global inflation far worse than Biden. The US managed to ride the storm better than most countries. Biden should but won't get credit for that. He should but won't get credit for actually bringing factories to communities that needed them, even places that voted for Trump, and that Trump promised and failed to bring new jobs to.

This is a good point. Biden "improved the economy" just like we always see under a Dem presidency, but this time he didn't take into account actual price gouging and collusion, so it doesn't feel like he did any improvements to a lot of people. And so we get a "vibecession" where what the average person experiences doesn't match up with what things look like from a satellite view.

It was an H1N1 variant of Influenza A, which is a type that does contain avian influenza but also like the swine flu and others.
