For the most part I stick with 2 games, but sometimes it'll be 1 and rarely it'll be 3. I tend to play lengthy 100+ hour games and I like to take my time with them and complete them 100% before moving on

I lost interest in Sun/Moon as well and never finished it. I did like XY and ORAS though

I would much rather see the often overlooked Mario characters like the partners and villains from the RPGs. And even if Nintendo wants to stick to in-house creations, I'd still rather see characters like Mouser, Wart, Foreman Spike, Luma, Harriet, etc. Don't know offhand if Luigi's Mansion is in-house but it's constantly referenced in the Mario Kart games and yet E. Gadd is not playable. But no instead we get Pink Gold Peach, Cow, and Fishbone (no offense to fans of these characters)

I usually go into a game with the mindset of completing it 100% which I've been doing since the SNES. Nowadays I'll only go for the platinum if I'm enjoying the game and the trophy list isn't ridiculously obnoxious. Other than that, what I like about trophies is that they time stamp your progress, give an idea of the percentage of players who complete certain content, and sometimes hint about content I might not have even realized existed. It's totally understandable that people don't like them and want to turn them off but the ones who say they ruin gaming are mind-boggling to me

This was a fun topic to read through. I haven't played Abyss in years so it was nice seeing many of the cool moments from the game again. Vesperia, Abyss, and Symphonia are my top 3 and the ones I've done the most playthroughs on, followed by Graces f, Xillia 2, and Berseria. The Abyss cast really grows on you, and Guy, Anise, and Natalia are really fun to play as and I swapped between those three all game. If this game ever gets a remake, I hope they amend the missable content because a lot of it is fantastic but it's annoying to have to look at a guide every 10 steps you take lol

And yeah the grade shop is amazing and a great incentive to replay the game. I wish all RPGs had something similar

I really liked it, and while I probably prefer the other 2D games overall, I think the combat might be my favorite out of them. Set-and-forget is a very inefficient way to use the echoes, many of them spawn while attacking so you can essentially spam echoes to the point that it's like swinging a sword, and actually ends up being more efficient than Sword Mode. I do think that not everything necessarily needed to be an echo, especially things that were used for 1 specific puzzle like those animal statues. And even worse is the sheer quantity of echoes and scrolling through them being a nightmare. Most Used and Last Used help a bit but it's still pretty cumbersome overall. But I think it's a great game and had a lot of fun completing it 100%

Never thought I'd hear WarioWare music in Mario Kart but I was pleasantly surprised

I know everyone plays differently but I definitely recommend only doing a handful of side content at a time, then continuing the story. Typically I do all available side missions before continuing as I was planning on getting the platinum from the start but I was burning out quick. Fortunately I literally never got tired of the combat so once I was done with the minigames, my path to 100% completion was a lot smoother. Well besides those dumbass repetitive arena challenges that kept shuffling pairs of the same monsters over and over

Yes, once. They took my entire fucking lunchbag, which also had my tupperware and silverware from home. Never found out who it was but I was really shocked because all the people I worked with at the time were really cool

I just played the HD trilogy a few months ago after not playing the games in over a decade and I had a blast yet again. Like you said, even knowing the culprits, there's so many other details and twists that I've forgotten and it was fun going through them again. For example, I was slightly stumped by the timestamped photo in 3-2 and how the culprit used to it to attempt to avoid the murder charge. 2-4 is my favorite case, followed by 1-4, 1-5, and 3-5. I like the long finale cases and 1-5 was right up my alley - it kept me hooked from start to finish. Plus it has Angel Starr and um...yeah

Before that, I played the Great Ace Attorney games. They are solid but it's definitely a slow burn - the first 2 cases were putting me to sleep, 3rd case was awesome, 4th was meh, 5th was decent. But the cases in the second game are like sequels to the cases in the first game and are super solid all around. The last case was good but the way it ended was underwhelming (similar to AA4).

After the trilogy, I played the Investigations duo. I played the first one years ago but this was my first time playing the second. I was pretty lukewarm with the 1st game outside of the 4th case, but I warmed up to the 2nd case. The 5th case definitely drags and drags, but I didn't think it was too bad this playthrough.

2nd game is up there with the OG trilogy as one of my favorites. The 2nd case was probably my least favorite overall but the rest were great and I was legitimately floored by the villain's identity in the final case. The soundtracks of both games have really grown on me as well.

Next up is the Apollo trilogy, I remember liking 6 a lot but only the 1st case of 4 and only the last 2 cases of 5 (until the villain reveal). But I'll get to this trilogy when I finish some other games I'm playing first

I had horrible dental hygiene as a kid but now I can't even sleep properly without brushing before bed. One thing I gotta work on as mentioned earlier is brushing too soon after eating, or using mouthwash too soon after brushing

Yeah I'm not a fan of the random NPC drivers so the roster is full of duds to me. Would rather see Mouser, Wart, Foreman Spike, etc.

I live in the suburbs and work in the city. The city is cool and I like how I don't have to rely on personal vehicles as much but overall it makes me exhausted, it's so nice returning home to the peaceful and quiet suburbs

31, I am pretty skinny but somewhat decent with cardio and calisthenics. I'd love to get into weightlifting but it's harder to motivate myself to do that than just throwing on some running shoes and cruising around the neighborhood for a few miles
