Yeah that's the default difficulty which is what I tend to play. I don't have the time or patience for hard mode any more lol I reserve that experience for games where I don't get a choice like Elden Ring

Feels pretty balanced so far. Ammo is not super-scarce and enemies aren't Star Wars Stormtroopers but they're also not Deadshot either. They don't take cover well, but they do tend to move. That might be one of my main criticisms is the enemy AI isn't all that sharp. But they do have an advantage in numbers. It's common to run across groups with several enemies so it's easy to get flanked or overwhelmed if you're not careful

You learn to craft bandages right at the start and materials for bandages are every where if you're thorough in searching, so keeping yourself alive is fairly easy

Im actually trying to blow through AC so I can get to it. I watched a couple more videos after I bought it that made me more interested. And yeah, I dont really do the start in hard thing anymore either.

Difficulty level is definitely a factor. I'd much rather have a game with "narrative" difficulty that focuses on story, characters, and setting, versus a game that forces you into harder gameplay where most of the experience is literally just combat and survival mechanics.

From the five minutes I had it open it looks like it does, which is why I was curious which one he started on. In this case the Survival difficulty is the 3rd of 4 options.

I work second shift, so I showed up around 2 pm on Monday and immediately checked my email.

Our District Manager, who represents like 6 states as well as ~1000 fed workers and ~100 state employees, responded to the email and CCd all of us in it with a list of accomplishments for the week. So it was nice to see him have our back.

Less than 10 minutes later the Department sent out a mass email saying none of us needed to respond to it lmao.

If you get sent a check theyll write that amount off on their books. But eventually if that check isnt cashed theyll know that loss wasnt realized and they still have the money. Theres a reason why US Treasury checks have an expiration date.

Whats funny with us is that we literally document our activities in PHIS. Like, they can just log on and see when I do a lab sample, or a specific sanitary check, or anything else we do. I was going to just rewrite my job description until my union rep told me to wait for further guidance.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that the responses to the email don't actually matter because there's no way Musk is actually reading and evaluating 3 million job descriptions. He's either going to Ctrl+F buzzwords that he uses to trigger automatic firings or he's already decided which departments he's going to gut or shut down and is just using this to pretend he's put any effort into understanding the work the public service does.

Yeah, the chaos of this shit is the most annoying part because to me it just screams flagrant incompetency. The funny part is is that our positions salaries are covered by the amount the government charges for inspection anyway. So I could stare at the wall all fucking day and the taxpayers arent losing a dime.

I might be mildly wrong that they wouldn't understand, though they'll probably only understand if it passes and they see a $50+ decrease from their normal paychecks. Some may never notice (I probably wouldn't) but for some that'll make a difference

For sure. I have an accounting degree, so I had a little bit of insight into the tax process even though its completely unrelated to my job now, but I had to explain to another coworker how tax brackets worked and that no, you dont pay income taxes on your savings account
