The idea of emulators for current gen is really strange to me - I would 100% expect that to be shut down

Emulators are for being able to play older stuff that's tough to get - should keep it that way. I don't see why anybody would be up in arms about this Yuzu thing. The 3DS thing sucks but... that's not shield to protect a Switch emulator.

What does this do to the plenary authority argument?

If the delegate system supposedly allows states to decide their votes for president however they individually want at the end of the day (they don't even need to hold a vote or respect the vote), then why would the federal government be able to decide what they have on their ballots like this? Is that argument in shambles or does this not interact with it somehow?

I wish there was a projection of what a hand might give, even if it's a range because of randomness.

Maybe part of the skill is piloting the hands and figuring out what the high score plays are, but quite frankly the math gets out of control to the point that I'm often surprised by what happens.

I don't know what changed from the demo but I felt like I beat the game every run there but here I was getting rolled after like halfway through the run with everything I tried with flushes and straights and three of a kinds / full houses.

Then I did two runs in a row where I just did Pairs and then Two Pairs and it was absolute money. Easiest runs of my life.

Have you done this before and if so is there a list of what you've been recommended before?

S1 feels like more of a kids show, even though a lot of the elements that make the show great are there. S2 just tightens up the tone better. Still great though.

This is extremely funny because they actually did put a bit of effort into putting up props and stuff to line up with what the AI images showed. It wasn't just a complete scam of AI images and then people show up and see just some pinned up pictures on the walls. It did have those, but a bunch of those props like the rainbow arch would have taken actual effort to put together or acquire

It wasn't zero effort, it was just low effort.

That's even better. Somebody actually at least SOMEWHAT laboured to realize the vision of the AI images and thought "this should be good enough."

Oh, apparently full sweeping those mock battles that show up after you liberate an area gives you 2000g? Like how it introduces you a new class usually. That's neat. I just saw them as a way to see how a mechanic works sometimes but never actually tried to kill them

Did you use forts to recruit? I think the story recruits are all intentionally different classes, but I grabbed another Soldier since Chloe's first aid was all that was keeping Lex's dumb ass alive, and another archer to counter pesky thieves

When do foraging spots refresh? It said after fighting some battles but I haven't had any refreshes I don't think.

I don't think fighting wandering mercenaries really does anything besides stun the world map mob. Not sure what happens if you lose, I never did. But I realized you can mostly just avoid those guys by staying out of line of sight, hiding behind trees, and holding B to run and zoom past, so I basically explored everywhere I could before hitting dead ends so I could collect all the foraging spots before doing any actual battles so they'd refresh.

But they haven't refreshed after doing like four battles!

I think the most relevant poker strategy is understanding "if i throw away cards here, what are the chances of getting the cards I need to complete my combo". Which you can toy with by messing with your deck, but still relevant.

I think when you press + to get to the big menu there's a remaining time on the right. I've played 5 hours and have 2 hours left so I guess its 7 hours?

How do you guys feel about time limits on maps? I haven't hit one yet but iv been VERY close - and I'm thinking this could be a very critical flaw in the game. It feels like just moving my units across the map burns most of the overall time limit - which means there's not really much time for regrouping at strong holds, or rerouting units from different areas of the map if things go poorly

I'm probably gonna lose my shit if I start losing missions on this time limit while doing normal strategical stuff. Maybe a really long time limit is fine to prevent abusing stuff but i think there should be a lot of leeway. My experience is that i'm about in the middle of the map with half the time to go and when i send my troops to walk to the final stronghold - the timer is in the red about to blow. That's wayyyyy too tight.

That gaps in the straight card is nuts. It's not just one gap - you can have tons of them. Ace Queen Ten Eight Six is valid straight

Four Fingers is also an awesome card which lets you make a Flush or Straight with four cards. Combining them would mean straights every hand

Full Houses sound outlandish but I think it could be doable. If would require a lot of messing with your deck though. If you used Tarot cards to transform a lot of your cards into certain ranks, destroy cards you dont need, and add more of the ranks you want to make pairs of, you could shift your deck to have a bunch of 10s and 6s but no 9s or 4s or something. Would make pairs/three of a kinds/full houses happen all the time

But can you get this off the ground fast enough?

Honestly that's pretty standard practice for IT company swap overs. Old IT being involved in the transition is minimized and often aren't actually directly informed it's going to happen until the new IT has already gotten in and changed a bunch of passwords if it's expected the existing IT provider will be bitter-- I'm guessing it's probably seen as a security risk and if the old IT is too involved then they might be able to still access things they shouldn't be able to after the transition is complete.

(I personally think it's silly because no IT provider cares enough about sticking it to their old employer to be sued, but I'm guessing that's the theory).

Source: Worked for an MSP and currently run my own IT business and every single IT provider transition (over 10) I've been involved in has been that way. Sudden and with minimal interaction with the old IT.

As an accountant that works with IT service providers this all sounds crazy to me. There's often so many little back end systems and connections that most people have no idea even exist except for the few people that maintain it. I don't understand how transitions like this could happen if there isn't a relatively transparent transfer of process knowledge and keys. Seems like half of things might get covered and the other half will be wheels that keep spinning until they fall off due to lack of oversight, which could take 1 day or 6 months depending on the process.

Claptrap is voice acted in the games. We can hear how he sounds all the time. It's where all of his charm comes from. How can his voice here be tonally such a miss...

Honestly this whole trailer is bizarre. If I skew my view a little, it actually is aiming somewhat in the right direction of whimsical nonsense set in a gritty action filled wasteland. But the actual execution is just sooooooooooo off.

Then again, the games lost sight of that tone too the more and more of them they make, so I guess the chances of Hollywood nailing it wasn't high.

Balatro is awesome. I played the demo runs to the max playing rounds allowed each time and watched NorthernLion play a ton. Just a wonderful game all around.

Main Theme is good but it's literally dislodged from the job it's name suggests by Prelude. If it can't even be the most iconic main theme, it doesn't justify being over the truly iconic trio of the victory theme/OWA/To Zanarkand that people actually remember outside of the world of video game music.

Um, Actually is incredible and I absolutely love Mike Trapp. I bought the at home version because it appealed to me so much and it strikes on so much obscure knowledge I have, but then it turned out that none of my friends are as well rounded nerds as me..... Most people don't know ANY of this shit, and even the ones that do tend to only know things in one particular genre or medium they like ;_;

I haven't really ever gotten into much else content they produce. I've tried to watch Dimension 20 but I have just never been able to get into watching people play D&D, whether its Critical Role, Acquisitions Inc, streamers playing with that psychopath Arcadum, or this.

Listen, this might sound crazy

But I downloaded Raid: Shadow Legends a few months ago and it works great as an idle game. Just don't buy anything.

There are a few other songs that could've slid into the bottom spot, but this one takes it because it just annoys me more and more with each listen. It starts off well enough! The first minute or so might hop twenty or so spots to another tier of okay but forgettable songs. There'd still be some wariness with the strangled guitars and heavy muffle of sound the voice gets lost in, and then the whole thing becomes a tangled, chaotic, corrupted, whining mess. It picks back up and there's hope, but it'll do it again later and I just really dislike it. I don't care what the song is about. It disappoints and annoys and aggravates and I am happy to remove it immediately from any future listens.

This felt like it was on the edge of transitioning into a good Foo Fighters song.... but instead of going over it somehow managed to hover on that edge the entire song.
