They're meant to be organically found as you explore, and there are so many so you don't have to seek them out too much to get those inventory upgrades. That is an unusual design by modern standards and I don't fault anyone for not being a big fan of them. I wonder if it's something to do with IW and Endgame being so obviously better, or like how much of a joke Thanos makes Ultron look, that kind of thing. I don't mind AoU at all, but AoU vs. Infinity War and Endgame is a really bad comparison for it. It's probably mostly due to it being a bad movie. For whatever reason, I went from slightly preferring it to the original to finding it vastly inferior to the original. Thats not to say I dislike the movie, I actually very much like portions of it. But the jokes didnt seem so funny the second time around and the rough parts stood out more. Honestly there's a lot of really good stuff in that movie. That'll come up in my write-up. GotG2 was not good on first watch, but that's because it has some bad humor and stupid plotlines. What it does well, it does really well, and it's easier to look past the bad stuff the second time and focus on the good.
