Ahh I've heard this tune but I always assumed it was Avalanches. Great creepy sample with a catchy chorus and a pleasantly disturbing video to boot. Is he projecting ME onto the screen? Gotta appreciate the rapper replying to some of the youtube comments too, I thought that was hilarious.

Okay, expectations subverted. Every piece of new information seemed more incongruous than the last - It's Steiner but he's recommending what is clearly a Good Charlotte song except it's actually a musical number by Cyndi Lauper about a struggling shoe factory owner and Patrick Stewart is playing the poop emoji. I didn't really enjoy it but I feel like I learned a lot.

I just got dubstepped on. Brass and electronic texture always plays well with me but I am listening on headphones here and I think the mix is a bit fatiguing - an albums worth of this would drain me but in small doses I can dig it. Loved the bit at 3:16.

Wonky wonk. Wasn't sure about it at first but it grew on me after a few spins. I like how the slide in the hook makes it sound like the song is posing a question rather than an instruction. Interesting harmonies too. Is that a phrygian mode I'm hearing?

Hop Along - Waitress

This has good energy, it just isn't the type of sound I've been craving lately. It felt like the daring of the singer was undercut by the relative safety of the instrumental, though I enjoyed her performance nonetheless.

Good calls, Gold Teeth and Widower are my favorites from that album for exactly the reasons you mentioned. Ire Works is worth checking out too if you're looking for more in that vein

It's got novelty appeal even if Country has been leaning in this direction for a while now.Some nice slide banjo towards the end. Not a standout in either genre but definitely proof of concept for the crossover itself.

Dark Souls 2, thought it was straight up dumb and ugly compared to the first.

Dark Souls, you could tell as soon as I take fifteen minutes thinking of a name in the character creation.

I used to have some high scores in Hotline Miami but that's more combo-chaining than speed-running

And nothin against old guys, Iain Glen could voice every character the exact same way and it'd be great. I'd buy that recording in a heartbeat.

The audiobooks are okay, it's just that one old guy does every voice and he makes it sound like a tired Rankin/Bass cartoon. I'm hoping they eventually do a version with a bunch of different voice talents.

That scene as a whole was probably memorable (though I forgot about it) but I don't see what about that line in particular is memorable. It's not emphasized, or scene-ending.

I know it was several seasons ago but they couldn't have emphasized that line more if they gave him 'deal with it' glasses and a dubstep drop -

that's just dumb, he's still one of the better characters in mystery heroes

I thought this was the weakest episode so far, a lot of filler and some unconvincing performances (Chrysta Bell and Sherilyn Fenn, I hate to say it). I know patience is a major point of the show and it's worked in previous episodes (floor sweeping scene comes to mind) but the execution felt off this time.
