Yes, I've had depression and suicidal ideation since puberty started. So fuck those people who've treated it like it was something I could just turn off or ignore.

My wife, who is 37, has had a similar situation to this as well. It is very hard for her to talk to her parents about it as they just don't understand.

I think of the theme parks in California that Knotts Berry Farm is also really inexpensive. The park price that surprised me is Legoland staring at $79. I know Lego bricks are expensive, but I would think the park would have been lower in price. I did go there once in either 1999 or 2000.

The best highlight of going was my mom buying me this set while there:

Lack of variety in layover choices. I live in Columbus and Detroit is a layover option. If I am flying to the West Coast, I would prefer a layover that is not in the Eastern time zone as a way to feel some progress. For example, I had a layover in DFW last year when I flew out to San Diego.

Magic Mountain still holds the record for most coasters in 1 Park IIRC. So yeah, they still have a killer selection of rides.

Oh if your last visit was in 2003, then it's changed considerably since then. The Knott family sold the park to Cedar Fair in 1997 and they've been pretty good about building up the park. Since 2003, they've added 5 new coasters (bringing their total up to 9), half a dozen new flat rides and completely redesigned the Fiesta Village and Boardwalk sections of the park.

Yeah, the last time I was there the big ride was Xcelerator. Perilous Plunge I think was still open at the time too.

I have been to 4 of the parks.

Six Flags Magic Mountain I went to around 4 or 5 times, last in 2007. Selection of rides is really great and is probably the best for me. I know things have changed in the last 17 years. I do hope to take my wife and kid at some point here when my kid is older. Since I am out of state, it would probably be on a family visit.

Knotts Berry Farm I have been to 3 times, last in 2003. I remember a few rides being pretty good like Ghost Rider. Will have to visit in the future for the same reasons above.

Cedar Point I have been to 3 times, last in 2014. A good selection of rides, but I would like to see them bring back an indoor ride or two. Will revisit again when my kid is older, not too far of a drive.

Kings Island I have been to 4 times, last in 2021. A really balanced selection of rides for everyone, Flight of Fear is a great indoor ride. Closest park to me.

This is my wife's first mother's day as a mom so it has special meaning to her especially with her being in her mid and soon to be late 30's. That being said something simple is always good. It could be cookies, flip flops/slides for house wear, or even doing something (my wife appreciates me doing the dishes a lot as an example).

My wife had to call the restaurant just to get some help with refills.

This is extremely sad to hear.

My wife had an issue nearly a year and a half ago when she came to get me from a sleep study (I was not allowed to drive due to meds I was on for it and she was visiting family). The issue was when she got onto the freeway a car started following her and would change lanes with her when she tried to get away. I told her to get off at our exit and go straight to the police station. The guy followed her off the exit. She proceeded to run red lights (it was 5AM on a Saturday) and he did too. She got to the police station and the guy boxed her in. She hit the horn repeatedly and the police came out. The guy was mentally unstable and said (his words) "the voices in his head told him to follow my wife's car because it would take him where needed to go (like a promised land if ai remember right). Since then, I have encouraged her to take karate lessons to help with defending herself.

If abilities are replacement effect triggers, so Blightsteel never enters the graveyard in this interaction.

I made sure to include the word cards so we could avoid that other one. MTG will always be Magic the Gathering to me. I just was not sure if the full name was going to fit in the topic title.
