Chapter 1 Done

I found an interesting new character, with a VA I haven't heard in 5-10 years no less. Anyway, the best part of the game so far is Laxia, cause the game gives ample opportunity to show off her butt, without it being a fanservice kind of way too. It's just the outfit and her stance leaves little to the imagination. Sounds good to me.

Loved going back and dealing with most of the Ys games in the run-up to this release. Some of the reviews are glowing, talking about further refinements to the battle system and music (that opening theme alone...). I can see the problem with the visual style. It's certainly winking at a sort of Dragon Quest VIII sort of aesthetic, at least for the opening mission. It's definitely not as colorful yet. It was set at night, so it couldn't afford to be. At least the characters look distinct. They have way bigger character models during cutscenes, which is a nice touch.

Adol can't catch a break though. Total Tidus moment with the squid attack and being stranded on a beach. I've got a lot of free time to play more tonight. I can't wait.

I was planning on making a topic myself (after cheating like crazy AGAIN, pizza, DQ Blizzard, 2 energy drinks, 2 pops, and Skittles to top it off). Basically, I was 145 lbs heading into grad school last year. Now I'm 173 lbs. I used to pride myself on eating right and being smart about drinking water and tea. Dean Ambrose...NOPE! Please allow me to join in here. I workout 5-6 days a week, so it is definitely eating related.

UCA is what I am driven to, and it drives me to do things to my body that most of these people cannot fathom. It drives me to do things to other people that are heinous crimes anywhere else. Doing so rewarded me with the longest, toughest reign as Taybles champion, this crown, and those voices in my head died the night I had glory in my hands. But what they didn't warn me was they would return, louder, piercing into my brain like locusts infesting fields.

With so little time left, I went from aide, to master, to subjugated yet again. Tom could get what I let slip away. Will I see that glory again? I have time, but it slips away as we speak, as it does for all of us. Anyone else would find solace in achieving what I have, so why do I feel so miserable? Perhaps because I lacked the time to enjoy it. My ascension came at the same time the world was destined to end.

The price I paid to Fate for recent glory was steep indeed. My body and my mind are still battered, bruised, and beyond repair. I no longer sleep, and am left thinking of ways to throw myself into the night. How am I supposed to respond knowing that for the first time in six months, I know nothing of my future? Patience is a virtue, and time is a commodity, but will I find a new path before it's too late?

I think HHH and Vince have this thing in their heads where, " the person makes the title, not the other way around." That's the excuse they give for stuff like Cena > Punk. But it's pretty obvious that Owens and AJ get more high profile stuff than Jinder does. They probably main event SD twice as often, and Jinder only gets the slot on PPVs because of the title. In terms of publicity, AJ/Owens would have main evented each of the last few Smackdown PPVs if Jinder didn't have Orton or the title to leech off of. You can say midcard if you want, but AJ/Owens were "main eventers given their own shit to do." That's what Reigns/Cena are doing, and no one would accuse them of midcarding as the #2 Raw feud. AJ's stock is only down now because he's with Corbin of all people.

The fact AJ/Owens had shit chemistry...that I can't account for. God knows they work well with everyone else.

As usual, this is why I try to say, "There is no definite best, or #1 guy" or whatever. It's semantic bullshit half the time, and I think we are the only people who care. Opinions are stupid that way. AJ's my favorite, but even I know until Cena retires, fuck anyone else saying anyone else is WWE's favorite.

The HW Tournament semifinals are set. It will be Kingdom members Strife2 and Tom Bombadil, with the winners facing one member of the Tag Team Champions, as Eaedwards and EmeraldEgg do battle. ZSig has no choice but to face one of these vaunted teams' members with his Undisputed Title on the line

The game goes as planned until the ending, where Majima tells Kiryu that Haruka was Majima's daughter all along. He wanted Nishikiyama and Shimano both out of his way, so he planned the entire thing, even the 3-4 other double crosses and 5-10 main character deaths, so that instead of naming Terada Fifth Chairman, Kiryu decides Majima is the next best choice for the lolz out of respect for his dogged insanity. Majima then proceeds to unveil that the ten billion in the safe at the tower was fake to fool everyone, and that Majima had the real stake hidden in the Batting Cages.
