The more I sit on things, the more I don't mind the Wild not doing much. Koivu and Galchenyuk leaving this year would save a whopping 10 mil alone, and other than Brodin and Fiala, no one is worth so much play wise to justify a huge raise to counter act it. Galchenyuk would likely have to take a paycut regardless if he stays or goes.

Unless they fetch good draft stock, there isn't room to panic that much. Ladd would have saved some money and term, but that recapture penalty hangs like a fucking cloud.

Russo Rumor 1 million: Haula returns to Wild + Canes 1st for Dumba or Brodin.

With Koivu and Granlund gone, it would have been nice to see what Haula could do as a #2 center. I don't think he or Nino are top line guys in the Canes system right now, but Haula and Tuch being Vegas fodder still stings.

Would be interesting to say the least, Haula would be defacto #1 if Staal declined.

I'm still shocked the Wild aren't shopping Dubnyk. After checking Stalock's stats, he's "not bad" for being so cheap. Aside from goalies who plaed maybe 5-10 games, he's at like 20th or so in save percentage, and that factors in both he and Dubnyk going on those crazy ass losing streaks early and mid season.

Stalock went from something like 3.10 to 2.70, so he is playing "better". Dubnyk is at 3.30 is at $4m price tag, ouch.

Dumba and (especially) Brodin deserve some credit for playing better, but dumping Dubnyk's salary is something the Wild hasn't even hinted at for some reason.
