Trying to better myself. Why is it discriminatory against a black persons hair if the policy is prohibiting all males?
Black people's hair becomes unruly when it's at medium length. Hence the need for locks. But too short, and you can't gather in to lock. It's not fair to ask black children to have to shave their hair all the way, every 1-2 weeks, but non-black students don't need to cut their hair until it's past their ears.

Having to braid a black person's natural hair, then unbraid it, cut it, shave it, remoisturize it, then re-braid that person's hair is a fucking annoying-ass time-consuming ordeal.

Remember, how black people often get criticized for having NAPPY hair? Now imagine having to spend hours fixing your 'nappy' hair without having to braid it? It's like trying to fix a cowlick that's 10x firmer. Also, shaving a black person's hair potentially hurts them too. It literally causes bleeding damage to them. Black people get ingrown hairs IN THEIR SCALP. So they literally need to go to a barber who specializes in black hair.

Just because other places have fucking stupid rules, doesn't mean America should follow. Long hair length isn't an issue unless long hair would cause a dangerous situation (i.e. working with certain machinery).
That's not even the important part.
It's perfectly understandable to think that universal hair codes might be acceptable. Then you have to consider that different races have different types of hair and how they're affected by particular length standards.

Black people's hair is literally a big hassle if they're forced to cut it in a certain way or certain length, and I honestly think many white people in this country don't understand that.

Sometimes 6pm and 6am is pitch dark. So instead of wasting time trying to ask morning/evening, you get the exact time, no confusion. This is especially important when you're communicating life/death situations and don't have time fumbling around with extra questions.

On the flip side, having a child at 45-50 is gonna suck

Yes, time traveling Avengers was actually a genius move, now that I've had time to think about it.
a) The whole movie was meant to be an epilogue/conclusion to reward 10 years, 18 movies of MCU fandom. The nostalgia callbacks in Endgame was a perfect way to encapsulate it.

b) It allowed for the multiverse to exist. Regardless of how they've executed the Multiverse saga so far, you have to admit that Endgame creating the multiverse was a genius move.

Never did anything warranting forgiveness tbh.

Was it creepy behavior? Sure. But there was nothing criminal about it, and the amount of people piling on at the time and trying to frame it as though it were and pretty much just outright lying or at the very least repeating lies theyd been told made the whole thing kind of ridiculous.

He asked some grown women if he could masturbate in front of them, and did in front of a few who consented. People will throw out power dynamics, but were getting into some pretty sketchy territory if consent still isnt enough if youre somewhat successful in your field.
That's why it's called sexual harassment or sexual deviancy. And not sexual assault. Same as if a teacher jacked off in front of an 18 year old student, and the girl 'consented'. Or a father/uncle jacked off in front of his 16 year old daughter/niece in a state where 16 is the age of consent. It might not be sexual assault, but there is certainly something to ask forgiveness for.

Mind you, I am STILL a fan of Louis CK's comedy. But what he did was disgusting and wrong, and he does need to repent for it.

Time traveling Endgame was actually awesome if you think about it. Using Back to the Future nod in order to evoke feelings of nostalgia to reward MCU fans watching 10 years of movies was actually perfect. The Endgame storyline may not have been great for comic book fans, but IT WAS PERFECT for MCU fans -- and that's what it was meant for.

Is it the CGI that's expensive?
Good CGI, yes, of course. There's also spending for big name movie stars who get pay increases for doing the sequels.

Look at Spiderverse. Even CGI animation art now costs a lot. It cost $150 million to produce Across the Spiderverse.

So you prefer the actual Infinity War saga storyline where Thanos fucking wins and does everything because he's in love with Lady Death, and the only reason the heroes won was because of mystical Adam Warlock and Silver Surfer and Galactus bullshit. Some inter-dimensional universe shit where 30 other heroes don't really matter?

There's a reason why comic book version characters exist that they do, and movie versions are different. Some things translate better in print, over weekly issues, or animated episodes, over the course of entire years. Other things can only translate better in 140 minute cinematic shows. Feel free to write a better movie and give it to Kevin Feige.

Yes it does. Comic Version Hulk works because you get to have 200+ weekly/monthly issues devoted to the Infinity War saga, lasting 3 months in order to resolve the conflict.

Whereas in the MCU, you get less than SIX fucking hours to resolve the character developments of 20-30 different fucking heroes. The Infinity Gauntlet movies would NOT have been interesting if we had Souped Up Hulk overshadowing 30 other heroes.

There's a reason why MCU Iron Man > Comic book Iron Man. Because the movie writers didn't think like you.
Think with your fucking head man.

Which was a good thing. God-mode Hulk would've made the conflict boring. It also highlighted the power of the Gauntlet. That simply using the gauntlet literally kills all mortals besides Hulk and Thanos. And even then, it severely wounds you.

Having a Bitch Hulk was a good thing. I didn't need to see 20 minutes of CGI-Hulk flying around single-handedly destroying Thanos, when there are 50 other Marvel characters that need their time in the movies as well.

Marvel movies are already almost entirely CGI at this point. I'm curious how much more Hulk could cost than, say, Quantumania. That movie is like 93% CGI.
That's the whole point. It's going to take just as much money, if not more, to produce Quantumania, but they don't want the risk that Hulk only grosses as much as a mediocre performing movie.

They spent $275M, only to gross $476M
The CGI needed for Hulk will be much higher, because it's probably going to be set in less fantastical world, and they need to use more detail to highlight the Hulk transformations.

So it's going to cost $400-500M to produce. So now the question is whether you think the Hulk can gross $1 billion worldwide, in a post-COVID setting?

Problem with buying for more people is that you can't go bargain hunting as much. You are forced to buy things at full retail price more than you'd want than if you were only shopping for 1-2 people.

On the other hand, should probably also be buying in bulk to compensate for it.

However, she's not turning these concerns into constructive criticism. The questions you listed that she said come off as passive aggressive nagging. You should tell her that. Instead of asking those questions, she can perhaps help to research what qualifications are PREFERRED (not just needed) for a particular job, and to support helping you get those qualifications.

they need more modern leadership who understands the year and isn't full on Taliban/ISIS with how they treat women.
Those particular leaders don't modernize, because they're more interested in holding power among their own constituents rather than trying to gain widespread support. Same reason why many evangelical and conservative leaders do the same thing.

TopicAnti-Woke ppl: What do you think of Tupac Shakur's Black Panther roots?

-- Shakur's mother and father were active members of the Black Panther party.
-- His mother was tried in court for 150 criminal charges.
-- His step-father was convicted was part of the Black Liberation army and was on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted fugitive list for four years, and was tried and convicted for bank robbery, during which police officers and a guard were killed.
-- His god-father was a high-ranking member of the Party, and was convicted of murder. He was exonerated 27 years later when it was found that the prosecution concealed evidence that proved his innocence.
-- His god-mother was a member of Black Liberation and was convicted of murder of a state trooper, and is still a fugitive from law.

Tupac himself has been accused of gang rape, and convicted of sexual groping, and charged with multiple shootings and illegal gun possessions.

His music has been highly effusive of the Black Panthers, black nationalism, and has produced themes of egalitarianism, civil rights, and social equality.

What do you think of him and his views?

That sounds like a big deal until you realize the median hourly wage in America is about $17 and some change, which is like $700 a week assuming a 40-hour work week. The $400 for the American groceries is more than half our median weekly pay
Median hourly wage among salaried wage workers is different from median income. People who get paid by the hour tend to be low paying jobs vs overall cross-section of workers. Median salary income across all individuals in the US is more around 65 to 80k.

Yes I am? "Turns out something Tucker Carlson said was bullshit". Is it TCs first day in the world of politics?
Wasn't trying to claim that this was breaking news. Just making sure that people are aware that even little simple things like grocery shopping is being twisted by Tucker Carlson.

Don't know why anyone with a successful movie career would waste time in the WWE.
I'm sure getting paid $5 million or so (or whatever he's getting paid to do this) for about 1 month's work, 20-30 hours per week, isn't considered a waste of time, even for movie stars.

Sounds to me like you and about 80% of all men in the US, have been slacking your whole life.
Also, correction -- you mean:
I'm my teens 0 girls that I liked back liked me, in my 20s only unhinged girls liked me, In my 30s only single mothers like me

If you relax your own standards a bit, then perhaps you'll actually find a decent girl that likes you back.

Tucker Carlson Claims Groceries Are Cheaper in Russia Despite a Russian Food Inflation Crisis

Carlson filmed himself and his crew shopping for groceries for the week at a Russian grocery store. Carlson and his crew estimated that the amount of food they purchased for the week would run about $400 in an American grocery store, but the bill was around 9,400 Russian Rubles, about $100 American.

"I went from amused to legitimately angry," Carlson says in the clip, feigning outrage that groceries would be so much cheaper in Russia. "If you take people's standard of living and you tank it through filth and crime and inflation, and they literally can't buy the groceries they want...you're wrecking people's lives and their country, and that's what our leaders have done to us."

The problem with Carlson's view of life in Russia is that he doesn't take into account how much less Russians get paid on average. It's easy to say quality of life in Russia is higher if you assume Russian salaries are equal with those in the U.S., but they aren't.
According to the most recent economic data, the average monthly wage in Russia is 73,383 Rubles, the equivalent of roughly $800 a month in the United States. That comes out to 18,345 Rubles per week for the average Russian, around $200 American. This means that Carlson's grocery bill of roughly 9,400 Rubles represented more than 50% of a Russian weekly salary.

According to the Russian news agency TASS, Russia is experiencing a massive food supply crisis. Food inflation is one of the most frequently referenced quality of life issues for everyday Russians. In a survey of 5,000 people aged 20-55, TASS found that 60.4% of Russian citizens spend about half of their monthly income for food, 16% spend almost all their earnings on food, and 14.8% about a third of their income. Only 8.8% spend no more than 20% on food.

I hate it when idiotic Americans try to make direct comparisons to prices, without taking into account standard of living, and America's dollar value being propped up as the international reserve currency.
