The days of Ubisoft making good games are long past, now they are wannabe EA. All they do now days is false advertise, the first Watch dogs is a strong representation of it. Their games now are mostly average.

I remember how excited people got for Division, all the while I kept thinking, it's Ubisoft, it's just hype.

Ac syndicate was solid, far cry 4 was solid, woodlands is solid.

Their aaa games are usually just solid at best, never amazing, but their ubi art games are good

The players have most of these games hovering 6+. These games are HARDLY anything to praise.

Far Cry Primal was the latest one. 4 was solid, but a clear drop in quality from 2 and 3.

Admittedly Watch Dogs 2 is better than these, but my point was Ubi is trash. AC2, FC3 and some of the previous Tom Clancy games were great. Remember Prince of Persia Sands of time? Those days are gone.

Lol metacritic determining my personal tastes.

I mean, yeah, story is hot garbage, and characters are bland as fuck, so in that regard, it's bad.

But since the patches, it's at least fun in an exploration and gameplay sense. Not worth more than 20 or 30 bucks max, but still.

It's more of a disappointment than it is bad at this point, but in a lot of ways, t hats worse. Like when your parents say "I'm not mad, I'm disappointed". That shit cuts deepest.

I beat it last week, and honestly HR was much better. MD is really short if you stick to the main story, and there's really not a big step up as far as gameplay goes; it feels like more of the same. I could probably write a page on what I didn't like about it, but I doubt I could say something that hasn't already been said plenty of times before. The story had potential, but it was really unfulfilling when all was said and done. It's not a bad game per se, it just doesn't have the same quality that HR had.

I always play the games stealth, so I was just looking for more stealth de fun honestly. CADE FOSTER posted...

I know psn and xbl digital sales can have some great discounts sometimes, it does happen quite a bit. The real issue is the non sale price.

Like, why is mankind divided 60 digitally, but final fantasy 15 digital is 20 dollars less digitally, when they're the same publisher, and same general release window?

i say it comes down to two things:

a.) there are too few major record labels with too much influence in the industry
b.) the "indie" scene is over-saturated with musicians, making it nearly impossible for talented upstarts to get noticed (and when they do get noticed, they have to do as the big studios say.)

Actually. The internet has been HUGE for independent artists. Many artists nowadays can get careers without ever signing to a label by exclusively distributing their music on the internet.

Interesting watch. But for those too busy, here's the bullet points:

*every single song uses the same combination of drum machine, synthesizer, and computer, aka homogenization.

*almost every single major hit pop song of the last 20 years can be attributed to 2 producers/songwriters.

*compression making everything sound so goddamn loud, no more dynanic range.

*no more risks taken in pop music, everything is custom designed specifically just to make money(duh).

*almost every hit uses the "millenial whoop" sound.

The video guy specifically says that no, not all pop music now sucks, and it isn't meant to be an elitist issue.
