I work third shift. 6pm to 4am. I have to eat late night. For me it's a matter of not eating after 1-2am.

Tell me your dietary change, TC. I'm working on portion control myself, and I've stopped eating fast food for all intents and purposes.

The number one thing is to cut your sugar way, way way down. The only sugar you should be getting is from natural sources like fruit. I only drink water and unsweet tea now basically, except on weekends. Portion control too. JustMyOpinion posted...

I found that a little suspect. BMI isn't a horrible measure for people who don't lift and it since he said he's thinking about starting lifting so I assume he hasn't done it yet. I doubt he'd have to be overweight by BMI standards to not look sickly. I've got quads like whoa and I definitely wouldn't look sickly at 180 even if I didn't lift. I'm an inch shorter too.

N9t my bmi, my family are all a bunch of Nordic strongman types. Broad shoulders, wide hips, etc..

90% of your excess fat? What? Let's say you were 50% body fat before. You weren't since that's a crazy high number, but it just illustrates the point that would make even more sense with a lower number. So that's 136 pounds of fat. If you got rid of 90% of that you'd have 13.6 pounds of fat. Which at your current weight is roughly 6.6% body fat. And unless you look like an adonis, I don't think that's right. I also didn't take account into the fact that you need at least some body fat to live so not all 6.6 is excess, but that doesn't change much.

When I say excess fat, I mean the fat above what my actual fat percentage should be.

Well, what did you change?

My diet consists almost entirely of steel cut oats, granola, veggies, fruits, and fish and chicken. That's it.

During weekends I actually cook nice meals, and once a week I eat something horrible for you but delicious. Gets any cravings out of the way. My portions are also real low compared to what they used to be.

246lbs in april to 206lbs today. 5'10".

I've lost 90% of my excess fat. Simply from diet change. My metabolism has caught up too. My cheat days don't affect me at all.

I've reached the point where I can start lifting and not just be a strong fat guy lol, get some actual definition.

Only downside is I now need a whole new wardrobe. Literally everything but socks. I finally got a pair of jeans I'd been wanting for years but could never fit in.

I went from size 46 pants to size 38 pants. And went from xl shits to large shirts.

My body type is naturally stocky so I can only get about as low as 180 without starting to look sickly. My doc says 185-195 is good for my body type.

Not much. There was basically know way to spread knowledge back then besides conquering nearby places. Things would be 'discovered' several times by several different places because they were just too distant to actually transmit knowledge. On top of that, governments of the time basically meant 'whoever is in charge owns everything', so it would be completely up to them whether any resources were spent utilizing said resources.

At best, you would have had whoever controlling Alexandria have a slight technological edge, but unless they also had the resources and man power to do something with it, they would see little practical application. We are spoiled in that we can instantly transmit any discovery around the globe for others to learn and build on, but it wasn't always like that.

Trade with the Arab world is what lead to the Italian renaissance. No conquering or war involved there.

Also about 1400 years of technological advancement after The Great Library.

Well yes. I'm saying the Arab age of enlightenment was the principle inspiration for the renaissance happening.

Not even remotely true. Western Advancement stopped for a long period starting with the sack of Rome. And in fact, the Catholic Church was a major supporter of the continuation of the sciences. Coppernicus for instance was Church sponsored.

When did they do that? The Romans loved science it was their collapse that led to the lol science phase.

Also this. Rome had a fuck load of scientific and medical advancements before collapse. Including successful cataract surgery, and the first attempts at open heart and brain surgery. They also had syringes.

I'm sure part of the reason is because the previews during E3 basically said the graphics looked like shit, even on Xbox One X. It would be hard to make an ugly-ass game the prime launch title for your supposedly "most powerful console ever" whose only purpose is to make current gen games look better, but costs twice as much.

At least Sony made the PS4 Pro just $100 more than the Slim, with a 1 TB drive as well. You could justify the purchase over the base model just with the HDD upgrade and 4K support.

Base model ps4 slim has a 1tb drive too nowm

Actually, the whole reason I play is that it's fun, and oddly is the most forgiving and generous f2p game on mobile. I haven't spent a dime and I have a few pieces of top tier gear entirely from handouts.

They hand out a LOT of free shit. So much so I'm not sure how they make money if they give away everything. The PvP and co op stuff is fun as hell too. Guild battles too. There a no pay to win stuff. Normal progression gives you way more than spending money does, it's weird.

Ugh, I wish they wouldn't. The show was never 'deep' or 'philosophical' to begin with. It was an awesome, quirky, dark-humored serial where each week was a new adventure that took us to another point in a nihilistic galaxy full of bizarre characters. This made the occasional emotional moment super poignant. If they do it every episode and start planning huge plot arcs, I feel like it will ruin the show.

The creator just went through a painful divorce.

If they remove them a lot of people including me will be pissed since many got netflix mainly for Marvel tv shows. Disney is not being smart by doing this, they would be wise to keep the deal with netflix instead of trying to have their own streaming.

Most already have netflix and are not interested in other streaming services.

Well, Netflix makes them, so if marvel pulls the license eventually, they will stop all together. But defenders is almost out, and Jessica Jones season 2 is wrapping production now too, with daredevil season 3 and punisher season 1 getting ready to shoot, followed by a now confirmed iron first season 2, so they're still goin.
