Of mainstream AAA titles?

They cut a planet. They cut several sidequests short. GOTO's plotline doesn't even resolve.

None of your crew has any sort of resolution after you leave for Malachor V in the base game.

Glitches everywhere. Atris enclave is still one of the easiest places in videogames to get bugged at.

A ton of weapon and item drops that are only obtainable by glitching your character to max level so that the loot table is updated to make it possible.

And so much cut dialogue it could pretty much make another game.
Hope true, but there are games fsr, far more bugged.

The game has to spawn police meters away because the game doesn't have AI good enough to actually hunt the player. Something seriously went wrong during development. No way that is what they wanted.
Not only do they spawn behind you immediately, but even on max wanted level, you can get in a car, drive a block down the road, and lose your wanted level since they won't chase you and won't spawn if you leave the scene of the crime.

The combat AI is fine and I really couldn't give a shit what no name NPCs do while walking around the city. Driving controls are indeed not great on KBM but I have yet to play a game that has good driving controls on KBM. Skills, disagree, they're fine. Nothing special but good enough. Immersion could be better but I didn't think this was going to be a sandbox anyway so...
Not the combat AI thats the problem lol.

If you put enough points in tech you can create epic and legendary items. Those certainly are not worthless. Even if you don't invest in it, you can still craft ammo and essentially don't have to worry about running out of ammo then.
Buying ammo at gun stores is easy and cheap.

Legendary guns can be found and upgraded without investing in crafting lol.

The pc version IS the best from a technical standpoint. That's not remotely debatable in any single way. At all.

What I'm saying is, the game has, deep issues at its core that have nothing to do with technical performance and everything to do with poor design decisions.

The biggest factor is expectations now have changed. We have more knowledge than ever thanks to stuff like social media and digital foundry. Overall framerates and stability this generation have improved. Combine this, CDPR's shadiness over review copies and 8 million preorders and this is what they get.
Yep, as someone enjoying it on PS4, I can't help but shake my head at just how goddamn shady they've been about it.

Is it Cyberpunk's marketing campaign/hype that's causing this unprecedented amount of backlash?

It's such a hilarious shit storm the more I think about it.

CDPR didn't send out console codes and were remarkably aggressive taking down any leaks that showed how bad it was. I made a topic showing how dire the gameplay clips were pre-release and I've never seen so many sites get hit with takedowns.

So of course it comes out immediately how much of a disaster it is on most consoles. Right when CDPR is bragging about preorders. A few days later they write a letter to 'dear gamers' saying that if they want a refund to go to Sony and Microsoft and asking to be given a chance. Turns out Sony doesn't give refunds unless they have to. Which causes another controversy.

Sony now has to make the call. If they give refunds to CP2077 then going by their policies they're admitting the game is faulty. So if that's the case why would they give refunds while still selling the game? What would stop people buying the game after publicizing refunds and then refunding it anyway. So the game has got to go.

So many ways this could have been avoided. Ironically if they had a next gen version actually ready that would have stayed up but they don't even have that.
The game still has many, many issues even on pc. Not as bad as consoles, but still bad. Angry Joe has made no less than 4 videos about the pc version being fucked so far, and is disappointed as hell because of it.

The internal QA basically checks the game doesn't brick the PS4 and hits standard features like the OS still working. It does not check if the game has issues loading textures or has low framerate.

Keep in mind the game was delayed from November because it still likely didn't hit those standards somewhere.

I know you love the game but being this disingenuous isn't a good look. PS4 players got fucked over with this release.

It's crazy how many people overlook all of the shady shit they've done for this game because they like the developer. EA or Ubisoft would get raked over the coals for this. Hell even they have never banned reviewers from using their own footage.

It's crazy to think that Assassin's Creed Unity was absolutely mocked for its bugs while this game has them even worse and people are now saying it doesn't matter because it'll get fixed later.
What's funny is, people are absolutely shitting on the sorry state the game is in. The official subreddit, cyberpunkgame, is all glitch videos, memes, and shit talking.
