You want their focus on you or at least on things besides your carry. Get them to attack you if possible. Get them to blow CC in you. And then as soon as they do position yourself and ult so they either have to (1) use MORE CC to stop it or (2) run away [slowly] giving your carry time to do his/her thing. At lower levels it can be difficult to know just HOW MUCH of a beating you can take though. One of the things red and I do well together is knowing how much damage they can dish out at any moment and knowing then the appropriate time to TURN is. This can mean either turning to run, or turning BACK to pick up a kill because your opponents miscalculated. Sometimes this results in some really extended fights that have us sitting at less than 20% HP for a long time but as long as you are precisely aware of when you are actually in mortal danger (or not) you can start to play in a way that SEEMS reckless but is really calculating. I guess I made the mistake of assuming a support doesn't want to get hit during teamfights though Also Rammus IS boring. I executed well, my map awareness was very keen. It is nice when stuff comes together and you just have what it takes to put a team on your back and dissect the opposing team. and three months ago I know I couldn't have played ww for ** top.
