Luster Soldier: Cute Pokemon, I guess. Although it's very much overshadowed by Bewear, so I ultimately have a neutral opinion of this thing despite being cute. It's also got a butt tag, like one you might expect to see on a teddy bear.

hotdogturtle: I don't like how this thing has a tag on it. But I ranked it high for its great cry.

Cybat: I'll say this for GameFreak, they don't have the best track record of designing intentionally badass or scary Pokemon but they sure know how to do cute.

Raka_Putra: Weird teddy.

swordz9: Cute I guess?

ctes: Stufful is kind of off-putting. I don't really like the design of the line, it looks kinda weird. Ability is pretty cool I guess, so that's something, otherwise it's trash.

hotdogturtle: My favorite Alolan form. The colors work for me and the jagged crystals do enough to differentiate it from the original without completely changing it. It has a fantastic type combo and good enough stats to be relevant in the metagame. Muk actually has a good matchup against Tapu Lele, one of the most relevant Pokemon right now (and otherwise tough for mono-Poison, heh).

ctes: I don't really mind Muk's rainbow design, though I'm sure there are people that do. Muk is an above average Pokemon to begin with, Ash's Muk helps, but I probably prefer this one due to its actual viability competitively, particularly in the Ubers tier. It's a good pursuit trapper and has a solid offensive typing to go with an assualt vest set. Regular Muk is pretty useless.

mnkboy907: Muk was probably the biggest surprise for me. Didn't originally plan on using it, but decided to catch a Grimer early on and boy was I glad I did. Poisoning Totems is so handy.

MrSmartGuy: The technicolor Pokemon.

Cybat: "The garbage it eats causes continuous chemical changes in its body" Oh OK, yeah, that explains it, I see garbage do that all the time.

Luster Soldier: For the first time, we've actually got a Pokemon that resembles an acid trip. The in-game animation is amazing, since it's constantly changing colors in real time, like what you might expect to see when tripping on acid (or another hallucinogen).

That's about 30 places higher than I thought it would finish. I was originally expecting it to finish in the 70-79 range, but I guess people would rather spend their time putting NFEs and Ultra Beasts low on their list before dealing with this thing.

ctes: While the name kinda bothers me with the "-", Hakamo-o is a very good middle evolution actually. Looks really cool still. You don't really get to feel it being good because when you get it, it's already time for it to evolve again before being useful, but it is pretty great.

Inviso: It's a solid middle form for a Dragon, and the best part is you get it so late in the game that there's none of that slog of raising a weak middle form to its third stage. I appreciate that.

mnkboy907: The best of the Jangmo-o line. Reminds me of the Priest class from Dragon Quest VII. That's not a positive or a negative, it just is.

swordz9: I don't like how the names of this line look

StifledSilence: Hack em up.

Cybat: This line has weird names but pretty reasonable designs. This guy is no exception.

Luster Soldier: After evolving from Jangmo-o, it gains the unique Dragon/Fighting typing which was previously unused until now. The typing is pretty brutal with a 4x Fairy weakness, one of 3 dual typings with that kind of weakness. Not really a major issue since you will almost never see a Fairy move used on a non-Fairy Pokemon.

StifledSilence: I like nice surprises, and a sentient sand castle is certainly one of them.

swordz9: Surprisingly wonderful idea

Cybat: Super silly. But as usual for Ghost Pokemon, actually really dark: "Buried beneath the castle are masses of dried-up bones from those whose vitality it has drained." …And yet, still silly.

Inviso: Very cool concept and cool design. It's not half bad in battle either.

Luster Soldier: Derpy looking sand castle Pokemon. Certainly a far better design than Sandygast, which is just a boring pile of sand. This is a funnier looking Pokemon than Sandygast.

XIII: Nice idea, execution could have been better

ctes: Palossand is not something that is enjoyable to use in any kind of format and that unfortunately drags it down quite a bit, but aside from that, it's pretty great. I like it quite a bit by its design.

Raka_Putra: Yes, awesome concept.

mnkboy907: Good concept, not the best execution. The artwork of it eating a Pikachu is great, though.

hotdogturtle: My vote for the biggest disappointment of gen 7 (of the Pokemon, that is; the game has its own issues). It looked awesome when it was revealed, but like many of Alola's new Pokemon, it can't do anything of value.

PrinceKaro: It's first form was sort of cute, but this is really pushing it.

And I thought the general feeling on Tapu Lele was negative and it finished in the top half of the rankings. Tapu Fini is still alive and that's another Pokemon I thought people would have a negative opinion of, but to a lesser extent than Tapu Lele.

But these scales can be dangerous as well, because a body can’t withstand the changes brought about by contact with too many scales at the same time. It will scatter its scales over humans and Pokémon for its own enjoyment; while it is innocent in one sense, there is also cruelty in the way it casually brings others to ruin.

This is very hilarious. Tapu Lele is capable of drugging people.

ctes: Buzzwole is really badass and gets the honor of being my favorite Ultra Beast, which isn't a big title, but it's something. I just think it looks really badass. It's too bad it's special defense is so poor that it couldn't really keep itself in OU (among other things). Matters little here though, it's very good!

Brayze_II: this may be my favorite interpretation

Cybat: Pretty hilarious name, but I can't really take it seriously because of it. Its shiny form is cool though.

Paratroopa1: I was kinda lukewarm on this guy but then he started flexing and I was like YES and then he kept flexing when he died and I was like YES YES YES YESSSSS

Luster Soldier: With muscles that large, I'd assume steroids and and tons of weight lifting played a role here. I thought Mega Swampert was bad enough looking like a steroid fueled beast, but this is an even more impressive display of steroid abuse. From a design perspective, Mega Swampert is much worse than Buzzwole. At least this Pokemon is okay by me.

NFUN: Part of the portmanteau of its name is "swole". WTF Gamefreak?

Ermine: All of the Ultra Beasts are terrible and a complete waste of space, except for MAYBE Necrozma.

Inviso: Another legendary that feels like it's capitalizing on internet memes. No thanks.

FRIENDSHIP ENDED WITH FARFETCH'D NOW SALANDIT IS MY BEST FRIEND

Ermine: Much like Popplio, Salandit was "graced" with an awful looking evo. Salandit had the chance to be a bit higher as I really love his design, but I really can't see him and not think of that garbage that is Salazzle. What a joke =/...

swordz9: Looks neat, but learning it is Combee 2.0 was disappointing

Cybat: It's frustrating trying to find a female one, but this guy implements the "smaller version of the full evolution" design very well. As soon as I saw it I knew it would make my team.

ctes: Salandit looks really great and has a cool ability making it one of the best NFEs, but we adress the evolution issue. Not only is it stupid to begin with that only female Salandit evolve just because Salazzle looks a little bit feminine, but there is absolutely no reason for only one in eight Salandit to be female. It absolutely sucks looking for it. Finding one is bad enough, finding a good one makes you wanna quit. That unfortunately drags an otherwise cool Pokemon down, it's evolution can grab the good spots.

Inviso: Unique typing and it's cute enough. Definitely surpassed by its evolution.

StifledSilence: Caesar Salandit

Luster Soldier: Poison/Fire was a very interesting typing that had me interested when this Pokemon was first revealed. Salazzle killed any interest of wanting to use this Pokemon. The change in design from Salandit to Salazzle was also handled rather poorly, with the only major change being Salandit going from quadrupedal to bipedal upon evolving. Salandit/Salazzle also have their own unique ability (Corrosion) that can allow them to poison any Poison or Steel types, though it's a bit of a letdown since it doesn't allow damaging moves to bypass Steel's Poison immunity.

Raka_Putra: Cool ability, but annoying to get a female one.
