I'm unsure whether I liked the main event or not. All I know is it was stupid for now, and probably like 20 minutes too long

I half way expected him to force his way out and escape the truck....

I got back from the show, and the crowd did in fact chant, "This is Murder."

The entire match was balls out nuts from start to finish. The crowd never let up until Angle was carted off. The tables not breaking actually helped the story somehow, because it happened more than once. It had a sort of, "This match will be ridiculous, come hell or high water." Even then, the absolute comedy that was Kane, Strowman, Chairs, and Dump Truck just turned the crowd from excitement to lunacy. It was so insane and funny, it didn't matter one bit. Angle coming back obviously changed everything. Angle was protected quite well throughout the match, as Dean and Seth took the crazy bumps for him. Angle's job was, "I'm Kurt fucking Angle, you're moves won't do shit." Which is absolutely fine. We got the feel good moment, and WWE didn't shortchange it by putting Miz over.

I guarantee the crowd would have picked up Jason Jordan's produce and pelted the ring if that had happened after a 50-minute match.

So kayfabe-wise, Roman was totally replaceable. I thought they could've lost the match to prove that all three members of The Shield were important, but I guess not!

You'd get a somewhat hype opener, a bunch of filler capped off with the feud that no one wants and will never die and a 50 minute overbooked monstrosity with Roman going over in the end. It would've been WCW 1999-2000 tier PPVing.

I half way want to give Emma a dud just because of the idiotic booking of it not going 3 minutes.

Enzo is getting a 1 and I might be being generous.

Alexa is somehow getting worse in the ring (which makes me sad, she could be best ever if she could just get that down) so I'll be fair and say 2 stars. Perfectly average match.

It's either a 1 star or a 5 star. I can't decide. Realistically it was a nothing match.... but in my head it was maybe the most enjoyable match since the first Elimination Chamber....

I loved that match, it was awesome. But this was just so fun.

I watch wrestling to be entertained. And while normally I'm more a mark for work rate, Vince McMahon (against his will) Sports Entertained the hell out of me tonight.

Match of the Year. Would be entertained again.

Michale Cole is a fucking idiot who I believe at one point today said the Big Dawg was looking down on them.

Yeah I don't know, the more I think about the match the more I think... it wasn't good.

I do think it was better than AJ vs Finn though. Lack of any sort of build really hurt that match I think, and I think it was a purely average match for the two at best, but with no heat from me whatsoever cause yeah no build or stakes. If you weren't deep into the idea that that's a dream match, it wasn't great.

Maybe the worst PPV of the year overall of the ones I've seen. Elimination Chamber was pretty bad too though.

Oh yeah Battleground

Tough call. Honestly feel like the PPVs were really similar in a lot of ways. Lots of filler, and overbooked BS. I think I'd call Battleground better because KO vs AJ was better (IIRC-- it may have been a match between the two on Smackdown that was the best one they had) than anything on this PPV and the filler was less boring. Really tough call though. I love Khali but this ME was much better than the Punjabi Prison

So, I don't know if anyone caught it, but apparently we are now also counting the WCW Championship as the WWE Championship now too (to add on to the WHC).

As Michael Cole would gleefully tell us Kurt Angle is a Six Time WWE Champion.

We just need RVD to have his Titles talked about for one night and if they call him a 2 time WWE Champion then we can also say the ECW Title is the WWE Title.

AJ on SD: Finn, you didnt beat me! The Demon did! At the next PPV you need to face me in a Man vs. Man match!
