I dont know. Excusing the fact that a 10 year deal is actually not great for the long term, I have a hard time believing someone who stands to get a significant payout if the merger goes through is being completely unbiased.

Microsoft would lose more money then they would gain. Even if it was on the Xbox game pass. It would be dumb not to sell it on a Sony console. They have plenty of other exclusives.

Maybe Microsoft shouldn't have fucked their reputation by buying franchises and making them Xbox-exclusive beforehand.

There is no reason to trust them now.

Sometimes i wonder how game companies continually get away with their comically unapologetic anti-consumer non-sense. but then you nerds come in and pull your pud over Microsoft becoming a bigger monopoly because it satisfies your particular brand of console war obsession and it all makes sense again.

This merger shouldn't happen at all, it's not a good idea. Putting CoD on gamepass is a stupid idea simply because there's already enough kids and teenagers who play and spew some of the worst shit there is more than adults do.

Don't need more kids and teenagers getting more or less free access to a game to ruin it for those who don't want to listen to some kid start swearing in the lobby.

People who say this really undervalue how many people buy a console just to play CoD. If they have only one option a lot of people will default to Xbox.

I mean, I get people will turn in their PlayStations for Call of duty. I just don't think it is gonna be more then how much Microsoft would make just keeping it multiplatform. They want to get the money back from buying Activision sooner then later and the "transfer" cost of making Call of Duty exclusive just isn't worth the cost of Activision. Business wise it makes more sense to keep something as big as call of duty multiplatform.

Sony big butt mad that the tables have been flipped on then after they strong armed with a large library of exclusives for decades. Now that Microsoft is trying to do the same, Sony cries foul.

Hopefully Microsoft breaks the deal and just stick to COD on Xbox, Switch and PC if the merger happen.

Sony is a blight on gaming.
They act like they are entitled to have every game on their platform and cry foul when they are at risk of losing a game yet they actively strongarm and moneyhat developers and publishers to keep their games off of other platforms.
