Twitch can actually kinda carry. (and all the twitches I've seen have carried) He's just mediocre at it now. And came from trololol broken levels. Like broken-old-TF levels. He could DPS your entire team the entire teamfight from a screen away and didn't need to get a single attack speed item (aside from old-LW which he got for the arpen). Oh, and you couldn't exhaust that DPS (back when it completely shut down carries). And that was disregarding that he had stealth. Or a slow.
He still has some strengths, though. He scales very well mid because he's still just shy of two free recurve bows (he used to have 4 and that was just insane amounts of borkedness). There's just no particular reason to play him over say... MF, other than the stealth. So you're basically banking on the fact the stealth will put you up massively mid game (which means you have to sacrifice farm and basically go totally all-in on a gank-heavy strat) and you just stomp from there on out.
tl;dr Twitch very bad, but not worst champ bad. People nostalgic for absurb brokeness, roaming carry is risky.

Why yes, I do complain about the guy who hardcounters my shield and can keep the counter on indefinitely. It'd be like if Singed could gas you from 500 range, except negacloaks don't help. Twitch is mostly garbage, but his passive is very dumb.
Bio they completely nuked her team functionality. Sure she can still solo assassin but half of the utility of her stun was to allow teammates to get in and use their own CC on the stunned person. She also can't sustain herself in a battle nearly as well.

Holy crap, I just saw the best Ezreal I've ever seen. We beat him, and I say "him" because the rest of his team was irrelevant. Dude dominated the mid lane against our Morgana (who insisted on mid even though we had me as MF), hit every single skill shot except against me (I don't mean to sound full of myself, but since I had way more movement speed than anyone else in the game, I was much harder to hit), and was a huge pain in the ass to fight. I really had never seen a good Ezreal before.
My team actually had smiteless jungler Kayle, who was 7 when others were 16 and died to jungle creeps at one point. I have to admit, though, that Kayle's ganks weren't that bad. She actually managed a double gank on Lux and Sona at one point.

Being good at this game just takes a good understanding of the mechanics. It doesn't necessarily rely on being 'good with a character' or 'bad with a character'.
I do recommend trying to narrow down who you will play to just a few champs, but only because getting a strong understanding of one character and how they fit.
But you want to understand mechanics like how to kill minions effectively, but without pushing your lane. How (and WHEN) to harass your opponent in the lane and how to avoid their harass yourself.
And then once you are good at all the things that you are individually responsible for in a game you have to learn and implement the things that are important from a team aspect.
But I guess the point is that you want to focus on understanding the game. It's fine to have a poor individual performance while you are learning as long as you are learning stuff from your games.
New player from Europe here .... Is it even possible for me to sstart playing or im going to see that grayed out "Play" buttom for the rest of my life?
Well, you guys might know that Riot offered anyone who could get ten thousand referrals the chance to "develop" a champion, and that Tim Buckley of CAD fame took them up on this and actually got the referrals. He was then informed that it's to help them develop an existing champion concept instead of making a new champion.
This is probably a good thing, though, since Buckley's idea was a shark with spider legs that he ripped off from some manga.

So I just realized something with the aid of a few B8 pals: I am the worst tank in the universe.
- My first instinct upon seeing a giant mob is to run. - I hate taking damage/never properly measure how much punishment I can take. - I crack under massive pressure. - The enemy team hates Vlad more than me.
As such, I've decided to jump ship to carries/support. Which means I'm in the market for a new champion. I know it's breaking my own rules, but it must be done.
I have Tristana, who I'm okay with, I despise the 450 "carries," and aside from buying Cait/MF during a sale, there's nothing on the horizon for me.
So I ask you, boys and men of LoL, which 1350 champion should I bet it all on?
Or should I stop being a little girl and learn Tristana anyway?

You should learn tanks anyway, or you're going to get deservedly hated by everybody. I don't play them often myself, but having the know-how is mandatory.

Just get Ashe.

Assume also that I tried DoTA back a number of years ago like 2 times, got yelled at and /kickbanned because I was new and didn't know how to play it, was hugely put off by the community because of this, and never played again

Would you say I should try this
You cannot be banned from games, but as with all online games, people will expect you to be the best no matter what and WILL call you out for your mistakes. If you're unsure of a new champion or unsure of yourself period, you can always play a game against bots with four other players. They aren't high intensity, but the bots are also good enough that the stuff you learn with your champions won't usually go to waste.

People in these games will always be more dickish than other games, because it's a 20+ minute commitment and a single person being bad on your team can mean that you are wasting 20 minutes of your time.
So people will rage much more.
But it's still fun and if you can get decent at the game it's worth it.
He plays it very well. He checks the map often and ganks when need to. I've seen him pop out right at level 3 to pop some over extended Zilean in the grill.
If the enemy isn't pushing he farms both jungles like a champ and God save an enemy jungler if Han catches THEM in HIS jungle.
Peaf should also play Nidalee permanently. His Nidalee is dope.
Also, I know this was a page and a half ago, but Pantheon isn't as bad as he used to be. Not because he got buffed but because other people got nerfed. Warmog/Frozen Mallet/Atmas makes him super tanky and allows him to initiate with his Ultimate and not die.
