Frozen Mallet>Warmogs>Atmas is the current lineup.
I've yet to try Triforce Pantheon. Yes, Pantheon requires super gimmicks. He has to bring teleport and combine it with his ult to out farm everyone by a solid amount. He has to push lanes and backdoor with good timing to not leave his team out manned.
Don't care. He's so much fun to play. His kit is just fun and combines well. I just wish his Spear had some CC and/or Proc'd hit effects.

Yeah, I know. My suggestion was legit, for whatever it's worth. Pantheon has Spear Shot to allow him to keep the procs coming with sheen, and it adds some more extra burst he rather needs for quick engagements. Level Aegis first for easier engagements, and QW then bail out after an autoattack. If you get boots early, the harassment should be pretty safe and your only worry will be running out of mana (in a solo), or getting counterharassed by another enemy (in a duo).
Heartseeker is the farming God's gift to Pantheon.
I level Q first to harass certain champions or last hit at distance from champs that can harass me. I get W 2nd just in case the enemy makes a mistake or I'm laning with a solid harasser(Xin/Sion are both fun to lane with).
I love people who dive Panth at his turret without full health. You will get crushed. I also love hitting the 2nd level of his ult and dropping 1k on people attackking turrets.

But seriously, from the best Eve's I seen, never let people know exactly where you are. Not just for the kills but for the confusion. The more you confuse the other team the easier it will be to kill them. The more they'll begin arguing with other and getting angry. The easier it is for you to get more kills.
If the enemy team buys Oracles(most games at low levels they don't) coordinate with your team and make sure to kill that person. If it's the tank, as it should be, wait for the fight to initiate and then go in behind and clean up to avoid detection.
If the fight is going well then wait to pick off any low HP stragglers trying to flee. If your team is losing and you have invisible up, get ready to slow someone to help out a team mate and then escape.

Lopen posted... The HP Gain nerf is huge. The thing most people are complaining about isn't!
Well the stun into a slow was a 'big' deal, but as I said before not eve ending. You can't say it wasn't a big deal though, because that stun instead of a slow prevents spells and summoners and all the things people could have used to save themselves when they would otherwise have died or been chain stunned.
Biolizard28 posted... So I just realized something with the aid of a few B8 pals: I am the worst tank in the universe.
- My first instinct upon seeing a giant mob is to run. - I hate taking damage/never properly measure how much punishment I can take. - I crack under massive pressure. - The enemy team hates Vlad more than me.
As such, I've decided to jump ship to carries/support. Which means I'm in the market for a new champion. I know it's breaking my own rules, but it must be done.
you should learn tanks anyways. Being able to play tanks teaches you a lot about the game and reading situations. You 2nd point is spot on, being able to measure how much punishment you can tank. And it isn't just knowing how much they take, it's knowing how much they deal which means knowing a lot about your opponents capabilities. Developing this skill will help even as a carry or a support. Especially when you are in a situation where your best play is to focus down the tank who doesn't realize he isn't as tanky as he thinks he is.
tcaz2 posted... Okay so assume I wanted to maybe try this game
Assume also that I tried DoTA back a number of years ago like 2 times, got yelled at and /kickbanned because I was new and didn't know how to play it, was hugely put off by the community because of this, and never played again
Would you say I should try this
Stick with FD! But the thing I cannot emphasize enough is that this game is extremely knowledge based when you're trying to get good at it.
Having the reflexes is nice, but if you're using them to do the wrong things then it doesn't matter how fast your eyes are so the first thing is to understand the game to play it well.

I get your meaning, and I definitely know that learning tanks is important, but it's not something I like or want to do. If the chips are down, then yes, I'll tank all day every day, but I definitely don't have what it takes right now. All I know is that if I play every character like a carry, I may as well actually play a carry, you know?

Levels 1-25 I played nothing but tanks. It was the best teacher I could possibly have.
I learned how much I could take and how much enemies do and who could be burst down quickly without escape if caught by one of Amumu's Bandages.
I learned how to gauge when my team was winning and losing team fights so that Malphite's Ult never went to waste. There is nothing more terrifying than losing a team fight and KNOWING Malph's ult hasn't been used yet. There is also no better team escaper than Malphite's Ult. It's just super versatile.
I learned how Tanks could set their team up for easy kills with Alistar or how tanks could FORCE themselves to be a threat with Rammus.
But most importantly, I learned how team fights work by being at the very center of it all and seeing how the characters worked around me.

I feel like I'm doing things backwards. I first learned how to play a support (still working on that like quality CV use and better map awareness), and now I'm working on my tanking a bit, albeit with only 1-2 characters I'm comfortable doing it with. I think the majority of people probably throw themselves on characters that deal damage and net a lot of kills. Killing is fun, but I like gaudy assist numbers more.
It's just how I feel and play. In that game, my first instinct when I saw a large mob and a team fight broke out was to stand the hell back and not die. I shouldn't be doing that, but it's my reaction to the situation. I know it's selfish, but at this point in my career, I'm less concerned with what a should be doing objectively and more with what I can do best.

I think the point is that when you are able to understand and execute the things you don't normally do it helps you do your primary role all the better.
Being able to stun just for half a second is long enough for Ashe to put an Arrow right on your head. There are tons of examples but Ashe is the best one since, well, Ashe is God.
Then being able to just keep stunning the enemy carry to death is worth its weight on Gold.
Leona officially ends Katarina from this game.

I agree with Zazi, the more assists I have the better I feel. If I have kills I feel awful because I got gold someone else on my team should have had. Someone who can make better use of it, you know?
Forceful_Dragon posted... If Leona might actually be good I guess I should start saving for her.
I don't know whether it'll be good that on the first day, people will be using her. On the one hand, guaranteed tanks every game. On the other hand, bad tanks are bad.

I'd take her into a custom game first just to fool around. And if she seems borderline OP she'd be worth pulling out in ranked before people understand how to deal with her.
But I doubt I'll even have 4800 or 6300 farmed up by tuesday or whenever she is released.
TheConductorSix posted... So I'm dicking around on the LOL Forums and I come across a topic about switching 2 people's passives. I found it boring until this game across:
Switch Teemo and Garen's passives...
Garen is in the Brush. All of them. Everywhere. At all times.
TheConductorSix posted... Han should play Jungle Xin permanently.
He plays it very well. He checks the map often and ganks when need to. I've seen him pop out right at level 3 to pop some over extended Zilean in the grill.
If the enemy isn't pushing he farms both jungles like a champ and God save an enemy jungler if Han catches THEM in HIS jungle.
Peaf should also play Nidalee permanently. His Nidalee is dope.
Also, I know this was a page and a half ago, but Pantheon isn't as bad as he used to be. Not because he got buffed but because other people got nerfed. Warmog/Frozen Mallet/Atmas makes him super tanky and allows him to initiate with his Ultimate and not die.
The game before I went 16/3/7 as Ashe.
Don't think I'm good with only one champion ;)
(Zazi helped me get that score as Ashe, since he is OP and all)
-- Don't worry, Bill Murray! Its things like this that make you wonder why the company that makes M&Ms don't make butter
That feeling when you start rolling a team in every single team fight is pretty awesome, especially after the horribad start JC, Gwindor, PC, Kanz, and I had.
Note to self: put JC on the "not top elo, but good" bin with HGR and myself. That caitlyn was excellent. I'm curious how many of the other guys are on the level, too. Get to 30 so we can go out for a ranked spin, guys!
