I was trolling their corki that game. They had a corki/karthas lane bottom (which was pretty bad) and so whenever I would do something to interrupt/distract the corki karthas would pick up the CS. (Karthas was pretty bad).
And so I would stun the corki or heal corki's near-dead target to make him mis-time his CS.
Meanwhile red barely missed a minion for a ton of solid farming time and got built fast.
Maokai was their 2pick I think? So he probably bullied the karth/corki who were 3/4. In any case neither of them were that great so I guess they belonged bot. They just happened to get shut down ^_^
So I'm considering looking into learning a jungler.
Seems to me that the common theme in games I get destroyed in is that, for better or worse, they've got someone in the jungle.
I bought Nunu and Yi awhile ago, but I haven't even touched Yi. I could go two for one and buy Amumu, but I've never played him before. I do like tanks, though, so it's not like it would be a waste... bah. Help.

Anagram posted... I've heard people call Corki the best AD ranged carry in the game, but I never got around to playing him during his free week. Is he really that good? What are his advantages over Ashe, Caitlyn, MF, Tristana, and Ezreal?
And I've heard people call MF a subpar one. Why is that? I haven't used Ezreal at all yet and I've heard he's the worst, again, why?
You know how MF's Bullet Time does great damage? Corki has it as a regular skill, except it also makes his autoattacks stupidly powerful, his version of Double Up debuffs the enemy carry on top of hitting hard, he can perma-proc Trinity Force, and he can escape without Flash. Oh, and all his attacks deal 110% of their listed damage, just 'cause. MF isn't bad, she's just reliant on winning the laning phase decisively compared to Corki and Ashe.
Since Shen is free this week, I thought it would be fun to try his jungle. After practicing a route a few times, I felt pretty good so I tried it in an actual game. I don't feel like I did any worse with him than I do with Amumu.
But that's a problem, because I've been playing Amumu for months. The only conclusions I can draw are either that the champions are just really easy to play, or that my personal skill caps out after a handful of games.
Since I lose the majority of games I play, I'm betting it's the second option. I feel like I've hit some kind of plateau and I'm not sure how to proceed, aside from last hitting more minions.
It might just be that I was never suited to play Amumu in the first place. It never really felt like anything clicked with him. I only played him because my friends needed someone to tank and jungle. I wouldn't exactly say it's fun to play a tank. The only champions that have really clicked with me have been Annie and Morgana, but I rarely get to play them. Besides, I'm not great with them either.
I'm no longer certain why I typed this post anymore. Sorry.

I'd seriously suggest playing everyone during the free week, or at least half of them. Probably in bot games, because then you don't hurt other players' experiences by being god-awful with a champ. It can take a while to find what champs fit you.

Keep practicing. It means you're processing what you've learned and are still assimilating it. It's happened to me before and every plateau is just a sign that you're about to make another jump. Keep at it!
Also, the thing with jungling isn't just having a route down, it's ganking in your lanes when appropriate. If top is solo and has slowly been whittling down the enemy's HP (which they should be doing), then maybe after the first time you go back and get items, you can ping who you want, go in from the river, and get a kill.
I've never actually tried jungling, but that's what I see junglers who I think are good do!
Two games I've played as corki. Both games started off like 10-1. Then my team has a leaver, or they feed someone on the other team like a jax, or refuse to push when I beg them to push at 25 minutes when I'm already outfarming the other team by 5 kills and 200 creeps, and then we ultimately lose because of the afk/leaver/feeders/farmers who can't actually farm.
Also, even though I don't jungle much because I don't have the runes of mastery points for it, it's a combination of route and ganking. They kind of go hand in hand, in that you need a decent route that lets you constantly have buffs up/levels and health, but also be around the lanes for good ganking. Then it's just crossing your fingers and hoping your lanes understand how to help out during a gank.
Actually one of the things I really liked about Shen's jungle was that I could gank at level 2, whereas with Amumu taking bandage toss before level 4 could put him back if the gank didn't succeed. I also seemed to be able to keep my health up much more with Shen. Not sure why Amumu is tiered higher for jungling.

It might have to do with leveling speed. Even if you can keep your HP higher as Shen, what's it matter if you go back at 300 HP or 100 HP? I guess if they have a counter-jungler it might be important, but in the end I think it matters more how early you can finish your route than it matters how much HP you have when you go back to base.
Well the ranged AD carries are Ashe, Vayne, Sivir, Tristana, MF, Corki, and Ezreal, right? MF is definitely better than Sivir and Ezreal, and worse than Corki. How is she compared to Ashe and post-nerf Vayne?

I know Sivir is bad, but she is a pushing machine (the minion buff helped her out a lot) and I love her. She's the only carry I've ever spent much time with, though.
I'd rate Ashe over MF and Vayne, if only for her utility. As in, I like having an Ashe on my team more than I like having a Miss Fortune or Vayne.

...Mmm, yeah, that comment was more than a little unfair to Eve. Also, if ya wanna impulse buy her, I'm... pretty sure,at least, that she's only 1350 IP, so it isn't a big IP loss either way.

Nah, Eve is kinda terrible now, don't buy her. Put it this way: unless your team has CC on every lane, your ganks are going to be unsuccessful. Twitch is actually better than she is because he deals unreducible damage and his slow is absolutely massive and longlasting, plus he had range and a big ****off nuke.
But seriously, Twitch is infuriatingly bull**** even now. He's nerfed, but is ultra-dumb even in his nerfiness. Imagine if Vayne dealt true her true damage to you EVERY ATTACK, then didn't need to attack to trigger it, and could top it off by Condemning you into a wallhit automatically from a distance of 1000 units. That's twitch. I hatehatehatehatehate that idjit rat and wish he'd die in a fire. Characters who can bull**** their way around Mordekaiser's shield really get my goat.
Put it this way: unless your team has CC on every lane, your ganks are going to be unsuccessful. Unless the enemy team is pushing your towers really hard, in which case you have a better shot at having successful ganks.
Or you could just be smart and not go for ganks when the enemy hero is at full health. Seriously I don't see how the change from a stun to a slow is going to change anything outside of "Flash exists"

Also, this.
Eve always struck me as an "I'M GONNA MAKE IT, I'M GONNA M- You have been slain" champion even before the nerf.
Isn't she still viable in the jungle, or did the other nerf ruin that too?

Neg, it's still going to bomb unless the pusher also doesn't have flash, is low on health, and has no CC. So basically you have to be facing a Mordekaiser who's very nearly scored a kill on your buddy but isn't 6 yet and have Ignite at the ready to screw him over.
Most of my ganks as Eve didn't even use the Stun as a crutch. Bio explained the Eve ganking style pretty well tbqh. Damage didn't go down so I really doubt it's going to matter much.
The HP gain decrease on her ult is gonna be the thing that hurts.

I know it makes a world of difference as the guy who's had to FACE eve. If Eve tries to gank me as Morde she needs a bait, and by golly, damage is not going to stop me from pressing R, oneshotting the carry, regaining my health, and then just tearing into eve. You need CC for that, because if not the damage is literally nulled the instant it happens.
