Got Recettear and played the first 7 days. It's interesting. Not sure if it's going to hold my interest, but we'll see.

worth noting that recettear's gameplay sorta changes once you get the debt paid off. it goes from like...85% shop 15% dungeon to like...85% dungeon 15% shop.

fueling the dungeon is the quest for rare drops of stuffs used to make rare equipment. and also the quest to use characters other than louie because he is pretty average and far surpassed by charm and the mage boy both in terms of personality and combat ability.

If you haven't played since the hats were added... I think the biggest change to you will be the main menu

trying to correlate just when i stopped playing. i got the orange box like...2007 on black friday. i remember dabbling in tf2 then, quitting, then coming back to it a couple years later in '09 when there was some hullabaloo about new weapons for pyro and medic unlocked with achievements. there was also a few things about hats or something, but iirc it was just the beginning. then my computer died on me and i just never got around to reinstalling i guess...

A lot of games go up for sale again on the last day, it's possible Recettear and Borderlands will drop again then.

But Recettear is definitely still a good deal at 10 bucks, worst case scenario.
