I just loaded SMB and automatically got the Medium Rare-achievement...how do I see what my total time in that world is without manually counting? I know it'll be under 495 seconds, but I'd like to see the specifics.
Also, the only deal I've bought so far is the GTA-package. I hope to buy more, but this caught me at a tough time!

I had entirely too much fun last night playing San Andreas for the first time. I ended up cruising around the city to '80s rock music. So. Much. Fun.
The only thing that looks somewhat appealing is the Assassin's Creed deal, but once again, my video card! (And it's not quite cheap enough to justify buying it now to play it later)

I fear I won't care as much for GTA:SA as I used to just because I (think I) can't play my own music under its own radio station instead of listening to the game's other radios.
There's always the talk-radio station, at least!

torchlight and tropico 3 are tempting at their prices. everything else not so much, and DAO is too huge a download to warrant the $10 for me seeing how by the time i can get that it'll already have another drop >___>;
tropico 3 apparently lets me run around with a commie hat.
Engage in a tropical power trip! Become the dictator of a remote island during the Cold War. Charm, persuade, intimidate, oppress, or cheat your people to stay in power! Are you a kind and generous leader? A corrupt and ruthless tyrant ruling with an iron fist? Turn your island into a tourist paradise or an industrial power. Make promises to the electorate or slander political adversaries to get the crucial votes for the upcoming elections. Send your avatar to congratulate the people, visit the island of another player, or just sun-bathe on the Caribbean beach.
sounds interesting. also sounds like the kinda thing that would be in a humble bundle.

Ikon posted... Starting to get the hang of SpaceChem a bit, so how exactly do I get the ticket achievement?
Click the "Research Net" thing on the front and then ignore the warning and "Hack in." The challenges are difficult but you can find video guides on Youtube.

I figured it out a bit ago, thanks though, working on it.

no, AC2 for PC is a pretty bad deal even if free. the drm is horrible. initial versions were you had to be online ALL THE TIME you were playing. i think it's been patched to online EACH time you open the game up. it can be a good game, but that's straight up a game you play on consoles.

namely, that they didn't bother to change the interface for the PC at all. Or increase the draw distance.

Don't really care, considering, as you said, it's only required on boot up, and, well, if that's the only problem, then whatever.
I've been wanting it for PC since it came out on it, but the DRM was a turnoff for sure. Now that it's fixed to be as it is, I see no issues.

Yeah the DRM is a once-at-launch thing now which is still kinda bad but it's the standard (permanent internet connection requirement wasn't standard).
I got AC2 on the PC and it's pretty good. The thing that bothers me is that, yeah, the draw distance sucks, and the shadows are weird (might be just my GPU or something but I dunno). And the graphical settings don't do anything. You can have higher resolutions than the console versions, and AA which is excellent, but all the other settings literally don't change anything in the game. It's really annoying because my PC can run it at like 30 FPS but I would be fine turning down some things just to get it up to 60 FPS.
Control interface is fine, especially since you can plug in any gamepad (not just 360) and customize all your controls however you like. Haven't tried the PC controls, but if it's like AC1's PC controls, then it can't be that bad.

So I'm probably one of the very few who has hardly even touched Team Fortress 2. Would it be possible to play with one of yous just so you could set me on fire near some water so I can jump in and get my trophy achievement? Probably asking too much though, not even sure how to go about getting on the same server or whatever.

The controls aren't the problem. The problem is that having a spinning selecting thingy simply does not work with a mouse; not changing that to something that does is pure laziness.
I should not have to navigate menus on a pc with a keyboard >_<
Shadows are weird for me, too, so it's not just you.

Actually if you scroll down to the bottom, the very earliest ones in there are absolute cake.
Also had a realization before. Didn't Valve say the first Portal 2 DLC would be Summer 2011? So could one of the challenges over the next few days involve the DLC? =D
Frozen Synapse is great, Sigularity is also a steal. Very underrated FPS, I paid 10 dollars for back in the day and that was a steal in my opinion. I definitely recommend it at that price.

You should get Frozen Synapse. Buy it now, wait till after the sale is over, then sell it to someone for 12 bucks, which is regular price, pays for itself really.

Singularity Frozen Synapsis (would definitly get if it was cheaper) Bully
I had a lot of fun with Singularity. It's not anything really new or innovative, just a good, gorey, fun FPS.
I mentioned above what you can do with Frozen Synapse. You can realistically wait until the summer sale is over and get at least 10 bucks for your second copy. I actually made a trade for a 10 dollar game of my choice for it, you could do something like that too.
Bully, I played back in the day on the PS2 and had a lot of fun with, it's not even 4 bucks I don't see why you are debating on this one, heh.
--
Indie game board: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/293-indie-gaming
Yeah, if you don't have a friend to split Frozen Synapse with, you can definitely sell it.
By the way, Ikon, we ought to play another game sometime. Preferably when I'm back at my desktop, since my laptop overheated like three times when I was trying to make the last moves in our previous game.

The curse of Steam sales: Some of the stuff is so dirt cheap that I end up buying games, which I may or may not ever have the time to play. I already have 7 games that I have barely played, and I just added 2 more (Bully, Trine). Can't really go wrong for less than 4.50 though, I guess.
