muddersmilk posted... Nier is a great game, sad to see it do so badly.
Fortunately it will get its chance next week.
Oh, and I just noticed that the main Mario games are all in the same order that I'd rank them (SMB3 > SMG2 > SMG > SM64 > SMW). Aside from Civilization IV and especially StarCraft occasionally screwing up, I'm really liking this contest's results so far.

Currently Playing - StarCraft Hopefully Next Up - Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Xenogears
Speaking of winless games, is it sad that World of Warcraft seems to be the most impressive game this week so far to me just because it finally broke 40% in a match (against a somewhat okay strength opponent, no less)?
At least is gives WoW some breathing room to work with for its shot at finally claiming victory in...two weeks.
And man it's kinda funny to see Civilization IV not having lost to any game since week 4 (not to mention that I've been voting for it in every match).

I just noticed that Final Fantasy VI has the highest RPI of any two-loss games, even above Melee. That's impressive.
Also, Batman's score today against Pokemon Diamond is really impressive. I'm stubborn, but I suppose I will finally give in and toss it a vote next week.

Yes, it's sad because you still have no clue what you're talking about and still insist on talking about it all the same.
From: red sox 777 | #157 Just wait for MVP Baseball's postseason miracle run to win the contest!
We don't let winless games into the postseason tournament.
#4 Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow (Nintendo Objections Conference) (9-0) 46 (83.64%) Gears of War (Sonic Overload Conference) (0-9) 9 (16.36%) --When an undefeated game faces a winless game, this is generally what happens.
Super Smash Bros. (Smash Trigger Conference) (5-4) 24 (43.64%) #20 Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (Brawl for Broke Conference) (8-1) 31 (56.36%) --Yoshi's Island rebounds from its first loss last week with a solid win over the original Smash Bros.
Resident Evil 2 (Smash Trigger Conference) (2-7) 22 (44.00%) Skies of Arcadia (Tanooki Blitzball Conference) (7-2) 28 (56.00%) --RE2 was actually leading this match for quite a while, but Skies went on a huge run at the end of the match to soar ahead for good.
Gunstar Heroes (Cult RPG Galaxy Conference) (2-7) 13 (24.07%) #7 Super Mario 64 (Nintendo Objections Conference) (9-0) 41 (75.93%) --Welp, Mario 64 didn't get anywhere close to matching MGS1's 90%+ mark on Gunstar Heroes last week. Might as well drop it from the top 25 completely with this shoddy performance. How ironically embarrassing.
Sonic CD (Sonic Overload Conference) (3-6) 22 (48.89%) Burnout 3: Takedown (Smash Trigger Conference) (3-6) 23 (51.11%) --It looks like Sonic CD was the one who burnt out at the end of this one as it allowed Burnout 3 to make a big comeback and steal the win.
#6 Resident Evil 4 (Smackdown Hotel Conference) (9-0) 35 (68.63%) The World Ends With You (Zelda Overload Conference) (3-6) 16 (31.37%) --TWEWY had put up some impressive performances against R/B/Y and PW1 in recent weeks, but RE4 wasn't havin' none of that today.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Games of the Decades Conference) (1-8) 11 (20.75%) #23 Portal (Patriot Time Portals Conference) (8-1) 42 (79.25%) --Portal takes care of business against CoD4.
Gears of War 2 (Zelda Overload Conference) (0-9) 7 (16.67%) Fallout 3 (Thousand-Year World of Sunshine Conference) (7-2) 35 (83.33%) --Gears 2's defense just couldn't stop Fallout 3 from scoring all those touchdowns.
#17 Metroid Prime (Metroid Eater Conference) (8-1) 36 (69.23%) WWF No Mercy (Smackdown Hotel Conference) (1-8) 16 (30.77%) --Metroid shows no mercy to a game that is clearly no longer in its prime.
Batman: Arkham Asylum (Metroid Eater Conference) (8-1) 34 (64.15%) Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum (Patriot Time Portals Conference) (2-7) 19 (35.85%) --Batman puts a hurtin' on D/P/P and flexes its muscles a bit.
Crash Bandicoot: Warped (Metroid Eater Conference) (2-7) 10 (19.23%) Mega Man X (Fanservice Conference) (5-4) 42 (80.77%) --MMX blows Warped out of the water.
Final Fantasy VIII (Games of the Decades Conference) (6-3) 24 (51.06%) Kingdom Hearts II (Fanservice Conference) (3-6) 23 (48.94%) --The only way we could've had a more high quality matchup with a high quality result was if we were watching FFVIII quadruple MVP Baseball 2005 instead.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Thousand-Year World of Sunshine Conference) (0-9) 17 (37.78%) Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 (Cult RPG Galaxy Conference) (6-3) 28 (62.22%) --It didn't dominate, but Persona 3 keeps Marvel Ultimate Alliance winless all the same.
Suikoden III (Fanservice Conference) (1-8) 21 (48.84%) Chrono Cross (Sonic Overload Conference) (5-4) 22 (51.16%) (OT, 10-9) --The Suikoden fans are not gonna be happy about this one.

Nothing interesting to report. I want a filet mignon.

What kind of timid person would back down from their thoughts and opinions because it is the opposite of how an authoritative figure feels? Plus, you know me well enough by now I like to be jocular a lot, so it isn't as if I am trying to get under your skin or anything

If this were a conversation that dealt with sensitive themes like death and religion, then I would act differently because I am actually a very considerate and understanding person. Video games are not a sensitive subject however

I'm pretty sure they even admit they were terrorists!
But I suppose it depends on what you mean by "sensitive," but a lot of people will flame you for saying something bad about a game/character they like. It's not that unheard of.
