Anyway the song is a bit cheesy and has some amazing vocals but it’s not as terrible as I used to think it was. 619.Theme of Dr. Doom (Marvel vs. Capcom 3) Appeared in: VGMC5 This song has ok parts, however when that really shrill instrument used in the beginning of the song is used it brings the song quality down quite a bit. Doom is not pleased. 618.Ecruteak/Cianwood City (Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal) Appeared in: VGMC2 The “best” city music that’s made it into this contest, like that’s saying much. 617.A Person's Warmth (Wild Arms 3 Appeared in: VGMC3 A boring town theme… that should probably be a bit lower lol. 616.Hades Castle (deathsmiles) Appeared in: VGMC4 A whatever song. I like another song from deathsmiles more. 615.Spring Lane ~ Colorful Path (Touhou: Phantasmagoria of Flower View) Appeared in: VGMC5 Thankfully no where near the quality of the Touhou songs at the bottom. This song is pretty forgettable overall but at least it sounds nice. 614.The Birds Chirps, I Sing (Tales of Legendia) Appeared in: VGMC2 A Go Shiina song time for NioraptH to fangirl cream. Anyway, overall the song is pretty eh but not too bad. The female vocals aren’t bad, the male vocals are kinda weird though. 613.Grandma (Nier) Appeared in: VGMC5 I like a bunch of the NieR songs that were nominated in 4 and 5… but this one seems pretty random compared to other songs that could be nominated. 612.White Mirror (Eternal Sonata) Appeared in: VGMC3 Wow Sakuraba in Eternal Sonata compared to other games is… actually not terrible. Sadly this song is pretty forgettable but at least the instruments are nice. 611.Koopa's Road (Super Mario 64) Appeared in: VGMC3 A pretty ‘forgettable’ song that’s once again pretty nostalgia based. 610.Corpse Voyage ~ Be of Good Cheer! (Touhou: SA) Appeared in: VGMC3 Another Touhou song that’s more forgettable than ‘bad’. 609.Feel My Blade (Final Fantasy IX) Appeared in: VGMC1 Another song that I think is kinda well liked that I’m not particularly fond of. But there are times when the screeching vocals are so hilarious I can’t take it seriously any more. YA PEE SAMI YAMI YA PEE SAMI SAMI When the vocals aren’t screeching they aren’t bad though. 469.BOODY TEARS (Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow) Appeared in: VGMC5 An ‘ok’ version of Bloody Tears. Bloody Tears is a pretty cool overall melody but I feel like the presentation/execution of the melody is almost as important as the melody itself. It’s just a little underwhelming here, and it doesn’t have ‘something speical’ like the other Bloody Tears that have been nominated do. 468.Staff Roll (Super Mario 64) Appeared in: VGMC3 ‘Nostalgic’ for sure. As an overall song it’s just alright not bad. 467."Reset" (Okami) Appeared in: VGMC2 Maybe I’m just spoiled by the Thank You version but while this version is kinda cool I just don’t find it as appealing overall. The cool melody is there though, and the vocals/different instruments do have a unique interesting style. Anyway for the longest time I thought (paraphrased quote from Zea) “one of the most unmemorable video game songs I know”. It wasn’t until like 1 or 2 years ago until I actually kinda cared about the song and even then there are many things that bug me about it. The big thing is that there’s so much unnecessary down time in the song. I mean the first 30 seconds are practically nothing. There’s a little bit of nothingness towards the middle-endness that’s dumb too. The overall beginning melody was probably the more ‘unmemorable’ part that Ive grown on but I still don’t think is that great at all. Of course the only actual good part of the song is the last minute. I honestly think if the song STARTED with that melody and did a lot with it (since we better instruments than Metal Gear Solid 1 for this song). It could actually be cooler. 460.Location of Power (.hack 1) Appeared in: VGMC5 A kinda decent song that takes what SKEITH tries to do (even with similar samples) and actually makes a pretty interesting song that almost feels like the end of the world while actually having pretty cool stuff happening. 459.J-E-N-O-V-A (Final Fantasy VII) Appeared in: VGMC1, 2, 4, 5 A ridiculously popular song from a popular game that never retires for some odd reason. Any this battle song defines ‘decent but nothing special’ to me. 458.Theme (Planescape: Torment) Appeared in: VGMC1 A kinda cool main theme with a kinda cool beat… that’s all I have to say. 457.Ending Theme (Zero Mission) Appeared in: VGMC3 A kinda decent ending song.
