Oh, I'm reading. It's just pretty transparent.

Though I'm not grouping you in there, anyway. You're atleast being semi-reasonable.

Who are you grouping in, then? You have me and FFD and snow all specifically being upset with the way things played out rather than who won >_>

although I'd be lying if I said I would've been a huge fan of the same outcome happening differently, but it'd be less disappointing

that and I had technical difficulties so I couldn't really appreciate any of the matches

Because, and no offense to either, but FFD and snow were both clear "Punk must be champion" flag wavers, and so when that doesn't happen, of course they're going to call foul on the whole thing when convenient. Hell, I'd probably have done the same thing, to be perfectly fair, but I like Del Rio almost as much as I like Punk, so it didn't really bother me as much.

Let me bottom line this whole controversy:

If you're an optimist when it comes to WWE, you're heavily intrigued by the finish.

If you're a pessimist, you're dreading whatever's about to come next.

I can easily see it playing out awesomely, and I can easily see the entire main event scene about to go down the crapper. I'm ALWAYS optimistic about WWE though, so I'm personally anticipating all this Championship Chaos coming to a head.

I don't think I've ever waved that flag. I would be happy to see that, sure, but I've even said in here that Cena winning would have been cool, and that ADR doing the same thing to Cena would have been just as bad of booking after spending so much time building up Cena/Punk the way they did. You just seem to be throwing people into a bucket to justify your opinion instead of actually observing.

I'm about half and half. I was leaning heavily pessimist, and then Punk/Cena brought me back around. I am aware that they probably COULD do something cool with this, but I can't offhand think of anything specific, so I am largely pessimistic. I see the Punk/Cena thing losing a lot of steam quickly, I see heel HHH which invariably bores me to tears, and the belt is on a guy that I don't care all that much about either way.

WWE PREDICTION CONTEST!

what's the wwe title match for night of champions?

going with 6 pack challenge of former champs

del rio vs. cena vs. punk vs. rey vs. hhh vs. nash

or a championship scramble where all title changes within the match are counted as official reigns

hhh has 23 world titles by the end of the match (he loses the title during the match by DQ each time)

If you have a problem with ADR cashing in tonight, then I think your problem is more with MitB in general and not with tonight's logic.

Given that ADR is who he is and has possession of a briefcase, it would be illogical for him NOT to have cashed in after the Nash attack.

His cashin was logical, it just....kinda is a blow to this feud. That AND Nash AND the rope break just make it kinda overbooked. My only problem with the cashin itself was that I feel it came at a bad time.

Lost in all this bickering is the classic brawl that Orton and Christian put on tonight.

You'd have to be the most ardent Orton hater to crap on that one! MotN easily, MotY candidate, best match of their entire feud and should (HOPEFULLY) be the feud ender. It was booked 1,000,000% perfectly from start to ****ing finish.

Yeah, I enjoyed it. Great weapon spots and all that. For some reason I still like the OtL match more but that might be nostalgia goggles and the circumstances in which I watched that match (with a wrestlng-fan friend from Uni, she was supporting Orton and me Christian so we had a good semi-rivalry going).

Good all-round PPV, though not quite on the level of MitB.

I'm pleased they threw more parts into the Cena-Punk feud. I was worried that once Undisputed had been settled, one guy wouldn't really have anywhere to go without getting close to beating a dead horse. There was so much emotion leading up to this, anything else between the two, for the time being, would probably pale to it. But now both guys have a direction to go since neither of them have the title. HHH made an error, so we'll see how that is addressed, ADR is in the picture and we're not sure how this reign is going to go, and the issue of WTF Nash is looming.

I'm intrigued without being excited or disappointed. I'll let RAW decide how I feel about things.

I'm eagerly waiting to see where it goes. If it turns out horrible, I will be the first to admit everyone told me so. It's way to early to call it bad booking though.

I wouldn't really say that a roll-up kills any DoD momentum, since it really just gives them reasons to be more dominant/violent, but WWE will probably screw that up, so I'll give you one.

Countout finish seemed fine to me. At this point in time, you couldn't really afford to have either outright win. It's too early for that.

If Bryan wins, he's back to facing random people on Smackdown. Wade winning allows reason for an actual feud.

It was a fantastic match. Why, exactly, are you complaining about this? It was pretty clear Christian wasn't going to win, but at least we got a great match out of it, AND the Edge thing can lead to a less b****y Christian if they so choose to use it.

We've discussed this already. Optimist vs. Pessimist.

Like said, not gonna fight because I quite enjoy your posts more than some wrestling PPV, but... Your initial reaction did come off rather "My favorites didn't win and now I'm mad."

basically Tim - HHH is a big character in this feud, and played a role different from how you'd expect Vince to, even though HHH is in the Vince slot. I think it's good sign going forward that we don't necessarily have 'business as usual' from that slot.

HHH wanted a fair match, and to his observations, he called one. Maybe the finish was meant to keep Cena looking good, maybe it's there to give Cena an easy automatic reason to have a title shot. But HHH didn't ignore the foot on the rope, he just didn't see it.

And he was helpless for the Big Daddy Cool/ADR stuff, I'd say he certainly looked like a guy who thought he had things under control, only to have that control taken from him. Which I would say plays into the feud he and Punk sort of have.

I dunno, I didn't like that it was Diesel, and I didn't like that it came out of nowhere, but everything else I did like. Except the "you can't wrestle" chants when Cena was out-wrestling Punk again.

Yes, that was the way their Smackdown match ended was it not? Except for the steel steps.

And Edge coming in to tell him what was what, yeah, I think it rounded off this feud quite nicely. Obviously I would rather Christia won because I prefer him, but it was great storytelling.
