Nah, Gunblade is a piece of crap. Not worth paying 2.4k for an extra nuker when a sheen gives you a bigger bang for half the price, for instance.

That said, Lich is also not that great either. It's another defense-delaying item that pushes you into the role of glassassin Kaiser. Yeah, it has MR, but it ain't anything compared to a negatron item and it necessitates a deathcap or at least 1.6k dunked into even more AP to make it worthwhile. Much better to double-dip defense + AP that you can use reliably and get some sort of xtra trick instead of forcing you to go into melee. Not even the Mace of Spades bug is worth being so glassy.

Lich is one of the best things Morde can get, given that he's already going to be up front, and he doesn't need much built in the way of damage so can afford to built a bit of extra tanky items. Lich Bane, Deathcap, WOTA or Gunblade, Sorc Boots, and defensive items :3

when you combine runes you get a RANDOM rune result.

So you could potentially spend 375 ip for 25 tier 1 runes and have them turn into a 2000 ip tier 3 Quint. (yay lucky!)

Or you could have then turn into a Mark of Armor or something completely useless. Or into a type of rune that you already have 9 of.


Its a gamble.

But thats why I recommend using only tier 1 runes through level 19. Then when you hit 20 buy 6 cheap ones and take your random TIer3 rune. But then just buy your own tier 3 runes from there.

Yeah, basically this. Lich is a fifth or sixth item, at best. It's not even close to core. I went through the Lichbane Morde phase and it just ain't as good as smashing hos with AP and resists.

With Lux it was easy after the first thirty or so games. When you have such little incentive to close the gap you just start playing like old Heimerdinger and sit tight. As long as I remained wary of gap closers it was easy.

I don't think they're *completely* useless. Marks of armor can be helpful if you have nothing else for marks. Leona has zero need for MPen or anything like that.

I tried out AD Annie Co-op v. AI. Built Berserker Boots, Infinity Edge, 2 Zeals, and a Dagger (working towards a PD). Even with all those boosts to Attack Speed, I still only had 1.12 at the end of the game. Ended with 5 kills and 19 assists. Might be better to just ignore AS and just build straight Damage.

And what are your thoughts on greater quints of avarice for supports? Get all 3, that's +3 gold/sec. When combined with the Masteries, that's a total of +5 gold/sec. That's basically a Philo at the start of the game. Seems like it would be really useful.

Tried out Vayne, and I'm realizing that I can't really win anything if I don't use Nocturne and jungle. I never, ever, ever get a good enough team for them to carry my not-good-yet Vayne. Using Nocturne isn't an auto-win or anything, but at least I can carry my team better if they completely suck like they tend to.
