Just how many games do we have to lose before KING KENNY is sacked? I was hoping it would stay 1-2 because a draw might extend Kenny's reign a little more. Hopefully today was the final nail in the coffin for this incompetent moron . Not only did he waste 100 millions on mediocre over priced English players, but he can't even beat team in the relegation zone, second game in a row we lose to bottom 3 team. Disgusting.
The Carling Cup is cursed. Whoever wins the Carling Cup is doomed to a run of poor form and disaster. Tottenham won it in 07 - 08 and they went through a terrible run. Man United won it in 09 - 10 and promptly lost the Premier League title. Birmingham won it in 10 - 11 and well, they got relegated. Now in 11 - 12 Liverpool won it and they are paying the price.
It's really unexplainable what's happened with Liverpool. I almost feel bad for them.
Man if City don't get their act together we could honestly catch them. A draw next week and an Arsenal win puts us at 10 points back before they come into the Emirates. 7 points with 5 games to go when they have to face United? Do-able.
Keep going Arsenal!

Ronaldo breaks a speed record to 100 goals in La Liga. Himself and Messi are absolute freaks, incredible looking at their goal haul in the league and seeing them doubling the likes of Falcao, Higuain, benzema and soldado.
Its a shame neither are the kind of dicks pele and maradona were or there could be one hell of a bitter rivalry in those.
They are pretty damn amazing. Real Madrid score so many goals, 3 of the top 5 goal scorers in La Liga are Madrid players (Ronaldo, Benzema and Higuain)
Was pretty obvious the refs would be doing all they can for Rangers today. Its in the locals and leagues reputations best interests that Celtic don't win a title in Ibrox and in the SPLs best interest that Rangers can put up some small resistance in the leagues outcome. It's no surprise to see that funky red card going Celtics way, just really takes away from the contest when you pretty much expect it.
It's embarrassing how lifeless Celtic have been, both in the League Cup final and today. No interest in pressing the ball, helping the man on the ball, or doing anything with it, Samaras excepted. I think that huge unbeaten run has gone to the players' heads, and Lennon can't bring himself to knock it out of them.

Didn't like the way Newcastle sat back and let WBA press us instead of taking the chance to press them even further, even after they were down to ten men due to Morrison's injury.

Quite gutted Celtic didn't win the title at Ibrox today actually.
I want Rangers utterly and totally crushed - I'm so sick of the idiotic rivalry that I want it to end. Celtic winning it today would have helped that to happen, though I think Rangers will eventually die either way. Then we can stop having sky attempting to hype us up for a match that happens like 6 times a year.

"I sincerely hoped the last words I would write about Carlos Tevez would be at the start of the season, footnoting the fact he was now the problem of Corinthians, AC Milan or Buenos Aires Golf Club for the foreseeable future, but just like a nagging case of athlete's foot, he has re-emerged, more rotund and more annoying than ever.
His role as crisis manager in Wednesday's comeback against Chelsea was downgraded to desperation distraction at Stoke as he lolloped around generally giving the ball away. Mind you, at least he managed a few competent touches, something that seemed way beyond Edin Dzeko who looks like he's been starved of protein for the past four months."
Generally, almost everything on ESPN Soccernet is crap. Jolly and Palmer occasionally come out with readable stuff, but always, almost ALWAYS the Fifth Official is genius. If you don't read The Fifth Official, I implore you to start.

you should read the phil ball articles on soccernet, extha; they're always fantastic. uli hesse, the bundesliga guy, is wonderful too. it's funny that for a british-based site the british soccer coverage is the crappiest part!
no gotze? no problem. talented attacking midfielders are dime a dozen. christian erikson and keisuke honda came off the top of my mind just like that. not to mention jack wilshere.

Oh hey. Newcastle fans are rooting for Liverpool. Pretty much every other supporter I know is supporting Everton because they're sick of Moyes not winning anything >_>.

if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it do the other trees laugh?
LMAO this match is so weird. Every time something bad happens to Barca I'm happy, but every time something bad happens to Milan I am also happy. Zlatan/Robinho missed a few chances and Barca were denied a stonewall penalty.
