munich vs real will be more winnable for real than barca vs real. it's pretty exciting to witness the rise of mourinho's legend. portugal, england, italy and now spain. he wins the top flight league title everywhere he goes. Maybe he'll consider germany next.
boy oh boy, lunch time match on sunday. magpies vs kop. actually, i don't feel confident about that match at all. colo injured, meaning the most likely center back pairing is willo and perch. and then there's that match at anfield.
Schalke v Athletic was the match of the week. Great contest with Raul and Llorente showing why they're two of the best. Athletic looked dead on their feet at 2-1, but once Llorente sneaked that header in to equalise they played as well as they did against Man U for the last 15 minutes. Schalke, now 4-2 behind, need to score three times in San Mames, which is... a big task.

Also, if Sunderland and Everton can hang on (both have two goal leads), Liverpool will be 9th overnight. When's the last time they finished outside the top half?

My family follows them so whenever I visit, we go to the games. I've had a Hannover 96 towel for like 25-30 years, it reminds me of going to the beach as a kid. Other than that, I don't follow them or anything.

Don't like that we're booing Enrique (I'm not), he was a star for the club and he struck out at FCB, not the club - how many of us didn't. Bellamy deserves it and Carroll didn't but I'm happy to boo him after that atrocious dive. That was disgusting, obviously been taking lessons from Suarez.
They tried to chant at one point early on. So we showed them how it's meant to be done. Hope we can get a Dalglish chant going in a bit.
Look like there are plenty of goals at both ends.
Ben Arfa is a god damned genius on the ball.
do_ob_tpkillr, maybe it's because you're not english and just don't get it. But you are one of the worst Toon fans I've ever had to deal with.
I want Andy to be sold now he is so crap he dived with an EMPTY net infront of him maybe he feared he would pull a Fernando Torres type miss and thought a penalty was safer option..
Perchy certainly made a meal out of Pepe's minute contact. Not the best way to sign off after such a good defensive performance. Yet, you just can't go around touching heads when you are on the field.
Guess we're finally going to see Alexander Doni in action. Here's to better luck in the FA Cup, Pool. :D ;D
It's difficult to even get angry over the red card. Mores the fool James Perch if that gets him a reputation as a cheat now. Somehow managed to upstage Carroll in that regard, which was more comical than anything.
It was exaggerated sure but it's not cheating. It's akin to going down when someone makes contact with you to get a decision. It is irritating when you are on the receiving end, but not cheating - Reina did something red-card worthy and the ref made the right decision.
Squaring up to someone isn't a red card offence. Perch feigned injury when there was clear daylight between his and Reina's faces. I'm sorry, but that kind of behaviour in order to get a fellow professional sent off is despicable.
