nah, I'd say it goes something like this

Akuma
Ken
Ryu
Dudley
Urien
Yang
Alex
Makoto
Hugo

and you see everyone else pretty rarely. even Hugo and Makoto are kind of rare, Alex and everyone higher than him make up a lot of the online ranked players. there are a LOT of shotos in ranked. in custom matches there's more character variety, but also the players are a lot better. if you're already good at the game that's where you actually want to be playing, ranked matches are more casual and generally have worse players.

you don't see much Chun and Yun in ranked. no one plays Yun because Genei Jin actually requires execution and most people can't do it, and I dunno why no one plays Chun. I can say that the Chuns I've played online haven't been very good. she's a great character but the few people who do play her online aren't awesome with her.

if the usuals are up for some sfxt later tonight and my internet cooperates I'll be in too!

also I didn't have time to type this earlier but I think wakeup supers or ex moves come when you're under a lot of pressure (especially in the corner) and are just like "get ooff me maaaan." I can't say anything about your 3s wakeup supers, cuz yesterday I was in the same boat in sfxt. wakeup ex sbk all over the place because I had no idea what to do. and you expected and punished those because you were in control of the match and knew I'd probably throw something like that out, I suspect. weaku knew I would throw those out too because he was tagging in after them a couple times. everyone knew I was a sinking boat!

anyway, Ark and I played six games of Elena vs Yang and then started playing various characters. I've got replays of those first six; if anyone cares I'll upload them.

Played ranked with a randy partner for like 30 minutes and I think I like playing it more than single player online! Granted my BP as well as my partner's BP were low, so the competition was not really all that tough. (lost once) Although I do not like starting Hugo out on point as much as anchor, and I kind of felt bad that I could not get any safe tags or launchers in.

I think I might play later tonight, so if any PS3 players are up late and want to team up we should play!
