yup ggs, and yeah I agree our connection was good for most of it. think someone hopped on the net on my end for a bit

for the option select, I think so. I can't remember how it works though. I know different moves come out for each game. p for SF4 and k for 3s? or the other way around. you can get punished hard if someone's expecting the option select though (they'll just down punch then double DP you for a quarter of your health for instance) so I usually try to tech throws on reaction.

yeah I think inputs are stricter in general in 3s. it's the only game I haven't moved completely off pad for yet, cuz I sometimes struggle with the inputs for some of the harder super cancels on stick.

if you wanna learn stuff for getting into it, I suggest watching Maximillian's 3S Online Warrior stuff, and the stuff Gootecks did for Third Strike revival (he did some episodes with 5 star and Renic and those are all good).

i really hate maximillian, so unless his stuff is downright godlike, i think i'll pass. i'll look into the other stuff though. thanks again for the game! it's actually a lot of fun. more than i expected >_> and it feels really old school; i feel like i've graduated to a higher level of fighting game

but yeah Gootecks' stuff is good. he and 5 star going over "the 5 basics of third strike" and explaining how the wakeup game and corner game work was especially helpful for me.
