Yeah, Arrival is pretty good for a playthrough.

Kenson sucks hard though.

I have it purchased, but I ran out of time and was like "I want to play ME3 NOW!" So I'll probably go back to it on another full series playthrough.

Should be pretty fun to do the full thing, watching Shepard go from humble beginnings to savior of the f***ing universe.

aww yeah agreed. preferably + due to advancement of story, but - could be entertaining, too.

+ would be rather hard, considering the three different coloured endings all actually have very different implications for the future. Unless of course they decide to make one canon like Knights of the Old Republic.

Destroy ending is almost certainly the "canon" choice, I would say.

So, I'm on the Citadel in ME1 now, and I just remembered something that I was wondering the last time I played it. What the f*** is that giant empty room in C-Sec Academy for?

Which one? The one with the Prison cell? Ms. Wong asks you to plant a bug there and it has a keeper for scan the keeper. The One next to Chellick's office? It does nothing. The big open space across from Chellick's office has Jhaleed's sidequest/2nd part of scan the keepers.

I think that's everything in C-Sec. Ward Access seemed more pointless to me.

I also picked the Synthesis ending only because I didn't want to pick any of them. But I had to in order to end the game. And Synthesis was right in front and the shortest walk (I didn't even actually know what decision I was heading for).

Sovereign was indeed the best. His voice was just so... so damn awesome. Harbinger is great too and I'm really mad we didn't even talk to him in this game after all the buildup. The one nameless Reaper we talked to on Rannoch was pretty cool. His voice was great too.

So does the whole "weight" system not affect your squadmates? They don't have the bar that shows what percent they're at when it comes to the weight so I've just figured that their weapons don't matter when it comes to their power cooldowns. Is that right?

Oh yeah, I've also decided recently that default Shepard is the best. I tried to customize my own, and I stuck with him for a while... but man. Default Shep just looks the best, easily. I like customization, but I don't think I'll ever be able to make one as good as default.

That is of course for male Shep only. FemShep only looks good if you customize her, but I never play as her anyway so it doesn't matter to me.

Some of the crew members still just... don't have enough conversation in them. James and Liara mainly. It seems like they don't ever have much to say when I visit them. Barely any dialogue wheels when they're concerned. I don't really care much for Liara, never have, so whatever, but James... I actually like him. So I would kind of enjoy more quality moments with him that didn't involve anything gay (he usually keeps that to himself anyway, he's mostly business from what I can tell and doesn't hit on Shep as much or make things awkward like Kaidan and Cortez).

EDIT: hmm... admittedly if I was going to go gay for anyone, it would be engineer Adams. I don't know why. He's just really cool.

I went into the game fully expecting to hate him, primarily b/c of Freddie doing the VA.


I actually liked the character and also wished he had more screen time.


Freddie didn't do too bad a job with his lines either.

That was also the reason I chose synthesis. I mean, it would have made Legion's sacrifice for the geth completely pointless, and I'm a huge fan of Legion.

When you're a femShep, what? Seriously? I thought he was gay only.

But yeah, I did get the tattoo scene. In my first playthrough, actually. It actually kinda made me respect him just a bit more because I like tattoos and it was cool seeing him get one. I don't remember there being anything really significant about it though.

You can't romance Vega, period. Him, EDI, and Javik can't be romanced. Tali and Garrus can be romanced only if you continue from ME2 (you can't start one in this game) for males and females respectively, Liara can be continued from ME1 (even if you left her) for both males and females, Ashley can be continued from ME1 (even if you left her, though she's apparently pissed about it) for males, Kaidan can be continued from ME1 for females or starting a new romance for males. You can also romance Traynor (females only), Allers (males and females) and Cortez (males only).

See, the key is locking in points. Every character has a point where you "lock-in" a relationship with them and there's no real way to get out of other than to shoot them down, and then you lose the ability to romance not only that person but anyone else. Some examples:

- Liara T'Soni: When she is leaning against the rail near the Meridian Place Market in the Presidium Commons portion of the Citadel.
- Ashley Williams/Kaidan Alenko: When (s)he is sitting at Apollo's Cafe in the Presidium Commons portion of the Citadel.
- Tali'Zorah vas Normandy: Calling her up to your room via intercom. Note: this is time/mission sensitive, and you can lose the opportunity to "lock-in" later.
- Steve Cortez: Kissing him when dancing at Purgatory after convincing him to take some shore leave on the Citadel.

I locked-in with Traynor after I took a shower with her, and there was no way for me to get out of it other than to shoot her down when she wants to come up and comfort me. And at that point, I can't get into a relationship with anyone else.

So if you're ever afraid a guys hitting on you too much, remember that it's likely you haven't reached the lock-in point and it's still just harmless flirting. I think James was intentionally made that way: all this flirting and hitting on you, only to confirm later that it was all meaningless. Great way to throw off the player.

Weird. He didn't sing for me in ME2 and yet he still sang a few bars of his song in ME3. It could be a different criteria, like not having an import file at all.

Wait, people think Vega is gay? Never got that impression from him, especially if you have that scene with him in your chambers. Shepard's like "The bed is harder than it looks" and Vega is like "I'll take your word for it. Not really interested in finding out."

Paraphrasing a bit, but that was the gist of it.

I don't know... For some reason I figured Vega was gay. I thought that sex scene we saw right before the game came out was with him... But I didn't watch all the way through. I just could have sworn I saw Vega in it. Hmm. Weird.

Well whatever. Originally I just hated him because I thought he would be a meathead CoD character. And it took a while, but I finally admit that he's actually got a lot of depth. He's a great character. Good job bioware for making a main human character that doesn't actually suck, and in fact is actually pretty cool (not including Kasumi/Zaeed obviously).

I think they caught your average grunt very accurately, the way Vega acts is very similar to most of my friends in the Marine Corps. Never once did I think he was gay.

Slam is incredibly useful in this game. It recharges really fast so I get Javik to use it constantly. Coupled with Liara's Singularity and my Combat Drone and Turret... so much crowd control. It's great.
