I dunno, I still don't know the answer to that either. it depends on what zfs, icon, nee, and shoe are doing. if there's gonna be a ps3 base and not much of a 360 one I might do it for PS3, even though the online play will probably be better on 360.

or maybe you could buy both I guess!

the online is supposedly amazing for this game so i doubt it will really matter on that front

i guess i'll go ps3, since i still do most of my gaming on that and setting up my 360 is a pain

the game is playable online, but it's not quite the same game. it sometimes drops inputs, startup frames, or goes screwy with the timing. but apparently Skullgirls GGPO is the greatest thing ever. makes people think that Capcom didn't really try all that hard for 3s GGPO implementation.

it's the difference between building a game from the ground up with ggpo in mind and shoehorning ggpo into a decade+ old game it was never intended for

DP moves don't come out nearly as easy as they do in MVC but the range on motions needed is less. QCF/B and RDP motions covers it for all characters save for maybe one move that needs a full 180. No double inputs or anything like that.

plan on selling some games on ebay pretty soon. gonna lose SFxT and MK9 from 360. keeping SSF4 on both consoles though, and keeping KoF 13 in the hopes that Nee and I get around to playing it some day.

they would have to do so much to make me want to play the game again.

give all the cast good anti airs

give the Tekken characters good offense instead of "guess which way to block every part of this string and if you're wrong once eat a s*** ton of damage"

better throws

better reversals and less block stun so dumb stuff like walk up jab x 1000 and crossups ad nauseum no longer exist (I realize that's what the people who hate SF4 complain about, but hey whatever. it's better than this)

get rid of anything cinematic that eats clock. stuff like supers that eat 10 seconds of clock time for no penalty, or cinematic moves and throws.

extend the clock to 1:30

make it easier to tag out safely but have less health regeneration to compensate

rework the entire game so that the flow of battle is no longer "zoning for the first 30 seconds, then someone gets in and does mixups and tries to get a single hit to confirm into huge combos off of."

honestly I think this game is so poorly thought out and is pretty much beyond saving. it would not be even remotely the same game if they let me try and fix it. that's pretty much the most overly negative I've been about it but I am not a fan of the game at all. I think it really gives perspective to the old school heads. because even if you like ST/3s/CvS2/MvC2 a lot, SSF4 is still a good game. maybe not as satisfying to you as those old games but still good. SFxT on the other hand, IMO there's just not a lot of positive things to say about it.

oh hey I just remembered that I've been sitting on a bunch of XBL points that I had no idea what to do with for a long while. time to buy Skullgirls for 360! will probably still buy for PS3 though so long as I like it. buying FGs for multiple consoles seems to be a habit lately.

yeah. well I've never been good at those MvC style fighters. seems like they definitely have the biggest learning curve and execution barrier. but I knew that going in! I'll keep at it.

maybe the Skullgirls team will make a CvS2 style game next, that would warm my heart

also I know everyone has already said this, but man there just aren't that many characters.

Got Skullgirls for the PS3, and I think I am going to main Cerebella. I played two sets online, lost 3-2 to a Painwheel the first one and beat a Valentine the second one, which I got hatemail from. I guess I don't blame him, I only knew one combo and I couldn't really get any grabs in there.

Valentine and Cerebella are probably the easiest characters to learn well enough to get decent or big damage off simple combos.

Valentines air scalpel hyper chains really nicely into either her Bypass hyper or kick-ass level 3.

Solo-bella doesn't need combos. Bella Smash.

i'm playing some with my friend, mostly just mashing

so far feels like MVC3 if mvc3 wasn't on crack.

checking out parasoul and valentine for now, mostly because they have the least horrifying designs

but yeah Skullgirls. lots of mashing and "I'm gonna push these buttons and hope they combo somehow" so far. we also rarely use assists because we're just not used to it.
