lol no, Skullgirls boss doesn't even come close to most fighting game bosses for difficulty. She doesn't read your inputs or have unblockable moves or ridiculous damage output

if you know how to block, you should be able to get her down to 1/3 health before taking any significant damage.

Final boss in Skullgirls is kind of annoying with interrupting skulls and such, and she hovers, making a lot of ground attacks useless.

I've just started playing random characters in ranked PS3 because I don't lose much otherwise!

on a related note, PS3 Chuns do some pretty dumb s***

I don't think I should be able to find 4 Chuns in two days who mash legs from full screen and activate super at a random whim

two things:

just had a japanese dude quit on me. first I've seen that. usually I love seeing those guys even though the connection is bad. good players, good manners for the most part. you can always tell it's a japenese person because their name will be "sakura78423" or something like that.

also you can tell what type of akuma player a person is in the first 3 seconds. nearly all akumas fall into two categories: the guys who jump back fireball as their first move, and the guys who throw out a roundhouse tatsu as their first move. both types are prone to be bad. occasionally you'll see an akuma do something that isn't one of those things and then you've gotta beware, because there's a good chance they're actually good.

oh man, the Japanese

I think it's the opposite of America there - all the good players are on PS3, not on 360. I just got decimated by the best Chun I've ever played and the best Yun I've ever played within half an hour of each other. All of the sudden my night of PS3 3s went from "why am I so gooood I can't even lose" to "I am getting obliterated by the Japanese." Racking up them losses!

well enough of that. ate about 40 losses tonight, I'd say. If anyone is wondering where the actually good Chun/Yun/Makoto players are, they're all playing on PS3 around 3-5AM Alaska time under Japanese account names.

Form 3 with Peacock is easy. "Look out below" H and block. If you feel safe throw out George at the air show too.

I did have a lot of trouble with Ms. Fortune on form 3.

And just a PSA, when you go for the arcade mode colors, I'm pretty sure you get the colors of everyone on the team, dead or alive, regardless of who lands the final blow.

Edit, obviously you charge the "Look out below" I wouldn't normally point that out but since the game offers no move list I guess maybe some people don't know that.

Form 3 is easy with anyone really. Just save up all your meter until that point and then blow it all.

I guess the 10th palettes are unlocked by a code of some kind. I don't know if anyone has figured it out yet. It's not the Konami code (despite the game being distributed by Konami!)

I beat the third form with Cerebella by just fierce and blocking. It kind of hovered on me the whole time and I decided to let it.

I also came up with some legit combos last night, hopefully I can pull them off online.

Peacock pretty much can't use any supers on form 3, so that's annoying, but I suppose Shadow of Impending Doom would work well enough. I'll keep it in mind.

Honestly I just get the final boss as close to triggering Form 3 with Peacock as possible, then activate the laser. Gets it in a good range to use Shadow of Impending Doom to finish it off. Pretty much every max-size shadow other than the piano does a great deal of damage to her, or at least to knock her out in two or three shadows. Until then I just guarded and spammed air bombs, since Peacock has no approach if RANDOM SKULL ARMY happens.

Trying to kill her with Ms. Fortune, on the other hand, is a bit of a nightmare. All of her supers hit and her head is useless on that third form. Still trying to figure that out, since the final boss has that damn attack with her shadow-knight-thing that repels you if you're too close.

two of them are for sure, Squigly and Umbrella. They were originally intended to be in the full release but time constraints meant they had to finish the game without completing those two.

As for Andy Anvil, Tommy 10-Tons, and Mrs. Violet, they've said that pretty much any character with a name has potential to be a DLC character but it depends on sales of the game and the first DLC characters. Andy and Tommy already show up in fights as part of Peacock's crew so I'd put them near the bottom of the "likely characters" list, but Mrs. Violet supposedly has an alter-ego that fights so I could see her being one.

Black Dahlia also shows up as the second to last hit. I don't have the article but I read the old design doc for Squigly being a stance based character. Developer recently said an anticipated DLC character was on the way so she'd be my guess.

So I decided to hop on the Skullgirls bandwagon. Hopefully will play some of you 360 folks soon, although right now I'm just trying to get a basic grasp on what the hell I'm doing. Loving Cerebella so far, fun to play and that grab super is beastly.

To unlock palette 10 in SGs:

go to versus, then go to local. on the screen where you pick player1/player2 and stuff (NOT CHARACTER SELECT SCREEN lol), hit Down, RB, Up, LB, Y, B. Have to use Dpad. Same on PS3, just sub LB for L1 and Y for triangle...you get the picture
