Oh there's the canon version of the event where you play as Rein, Torb, Mercy and Tracer, or you can play the non-canon version, without achievements, with any character.

It's a record number of new skin models, with no recolours except the purples (even then Rein has unique hair). Total number of skins is lower though due to lack of recolours. Only a few highlights and emotes, but I think that's standard. Haven't seen victory poses.

I'm under the impression the event mode has a lot more work put into it than any of the previous ones, but I haven't played it so I can't be sure. But that's likely the highlight of the whole thing. Not sure what you wanted.

Played the every hero mode of PvE. This guy was really excited about getting the new Genji skin, and he kept going on and on about being a Genji main. He then proceeded to just run off to the middle of nowhere, ignoring the objective, and dying over and over. He then proceeded to bitch at me for not healing him enough. Um, I can't fucking heal you through walls dude, what the fuck are you doing? I even died reviving him one time. -_-

So him being a Genji main makes perfect sense.

Also, all Skins are Legendaries but 2......freaking hell Blizzard can you make it any more obvious you want people to buy more Loot Boxes?, I see Blizzard has begun to fall to the Dark Side as well, I mean, I was thinking of buying some anyway but still, with that many they should've reduced the price of them from their normal 3X price >_>.

I'm not complaining that there's more content, I mean, every skin but 2 is Legendary, the rarest rarity to drop, and are event skins, which are all 3,000 Coins a piece, when some of these skins should just straight up be Epic, since they seem more like recolors than anything.

I'm all for supporting the developers you like, but not every has disposable income to spend on say these boxes, or have thousands of coins saved up to get all that you want, besides we don't play Overwatch 24/7, so it takes longer for us to level up and get more boxes that way, and then you only get 3 Bonus ones weekly, and then the 2 from the new PvE mode, even with all thoses boxes, you aren't guaranteed to get what you want.

I never said you were complaining about content. I said you were complaining about them wanting to make some money for making the content. Which is what you're doing. Quite often too.

You're all for supporting the developers, but with what? You liking the content isn't going to enable them to make more. The only thing that makes it so they can release more content is money.

I don't have a disposable income, you know what that means? I don't get all the things that I want. I can't just go buy the 50 Loot Crates because I just don't have the money. But that doesn't mean Blizzard's "going to the dark side."

The ability to buy the boxes isn't the bad thing, I can see the reasoning in their purpose, both to support the developers after the game is out, thus giving them incentive to reward players with more content, and to allow those without free time to still have a chance at getting the stuff from those boxes.

My main issue, like with a lot of other game that have that kind of system, which is a lot of them, is if the Developer's choose to make it easy or hard to earn those boxes or the rewards in them, Now Overwatch does good with letting you level infinitely (I believe), and you get a box for each level up, and then a bonus 3 each week, plus, the ability to buy said items if you have the required currency.

What hurst it, IMO, is the vast amount of Sprays that are just filler space, and the drop rates of the higher rarity items, people want the Skins, the Intro's, the Voice Lines, Emotes, even the Victory Poses, but a majority of the time, you get Sprays more than anything else, Then you add in the chance to get Duplicates of the higher rarity stuff you already have, I get the purpose of Dupes, it gives you the currency to buy the items, but at the least, Legendaries should have a lower chance of being Duplicates, As I can see people getting dupes of those to be infuriating, And while you CAN buy the items, the Event Items cost 3X their normal amount, which is a bit absurd, as not everyone will have an absurd amount of coins saved up.

Part of me doesn't honestly know how to explain it properly, I never have been good with explaining things, but tl;dr: I don't hate the Loot Box system, I see it's purpose, but honestly at the least the way they do them could be improved a bit, Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you SHOULD get what you want with each box, Nor get a Legendary every 2-3 boxes or something, I just mean the drop rates should maybe be tweaked a little, cause when you buy 20-30+ boxes and don't get a SINGLE thing you wanted, like I did in the last event, you can be pretty pissed off.

Opened up 9 loot boxes so far and only got one non-blue: Reinhardt's purple skin. My friend got 4 golds and 2 purples in his 9 lootboxes. Bastard. Looks like I'm probably going to have to spend some of my coins this event since I doubt I'll get the exact legendaries I want.

Well to be fair I don't recall saying I didn't complain about them all that often, and to be honest, I've got an issue in general with being annoyed and wanting to rant if I get bad drops from games, so that could be a reason about me complaining about the boxes before, Not that I'm defending my complaining with that...

42 Boxes, Surprise, More Sprays, Player Icons and Dupes, And there's still plenty of stuff we don't have, er, including all the non-event stuff I mean, Got a few legendaries, but ended up being Coins, then Young Genji, Orisa's New one, then that Goddess Symmetra one, then Blackwatch McCree in the final few, Got a couple other Intro's, one for Hanzo, Genji, Zenyatta's new one, and D.Va's new one.

Wow, a ton of both the new and old skins have little lore descriptions. Generally it seems that anything with a lore description is canon. Even some surprising ones, like D.Va's Korean mech and Genji's middle eastern look.

It might be better phrased "Anything canon has a lore description", though even then some are missing (like Ironclad aka Youngbjorn) Or some of them are more tenuous, like Widowmaker's ballet skins mention she used to be a ballerina, though I doubt she actually wore ballet outfits as an assassin.

I've cleared Uprising Expert on All Heroes a few times. I've tried the classic mode or whatever like 8 times on expert, and we can never get past the last part. Somebody always does something stupid, like Reinhardt will charge headfirst into a Bastion and die, Torbjorn will run out in front of the Reinhardt's shield into a Bastion and die, Tracer will be out in the middle of nowhere and die and we can't get to them so they bleed out. One time Torbjorn was bleeding out, because he ran out in front of a Bastion like an idiot, and Mercy and I were standing next to him, I kept trying to put my shield up to protect her so she could revive him. For like 50 seconds she did nothing, my shield broke 3 or 4 times in that time. 10 seconds left to save him, she finally decides to do something... after my sheild breaks and she dies, then a second later Torb bleeds out and we lose, and Torb and I were both like "Why didn't just use your ult?" -_-
