Luster Soldier: This Pokemon is far less cute compared to Litten. I was also disappointed to see Torracat become bipedal upon evolving, though I probably expected that to happen as all previous Fire starters have a bipedal fully evolved form.

ctes: Torracat is quite a disappointing evolution to Litten. It's just a generic annoying cat now. Litten was cute and interesting at the same time and Torracat doesn't really keep that going for it.

Semi-related to my number 1, I utterly despise Pikachu and most of his bethren. Pachirisu and this one notwithstanding. >_>'

Cybat: Suitably imposing. "Moongeist Beam" is kind of a silly name for an attack though.

Inviso: Didn't play Moon, but Lunala's a cool design and at least has the Nebby aspect working in its favor.

Luster Soldier: Between the 2 main legendary Pokemon, I like this one more than Solgaleo. The bat design of this Pokemon looks much cooler than Solgaleo and it also has the more superior ability. Despite Solgaleo throwing us into a major loop attempting to guess its typing, the typing of Lunala was much easier to guess. With Lunala, the typing was expected to be some combination of Dark/Fairy/Ghost/Psychic/Flying.

It's a bit of a toss-up as to whether Lunala or Solgaleo will finish higher in the final rankings. Lunala's feminine appearance has me doubting whether it can finish higher than Solgaleo, but Lunala does have one thing going for it here. It happens to be a Ghost type, which is one of the most popular types (along with Dark). At least it's a good thing that Lunala is only feminine and not cute as well. If Lunala had been cute (in addition to being feminine), that would have doomed its chances of finishing higher than Solgaleo. I should note that Mismagius is a fairly popular feminine Pokemon which has some things in common with Lunala, including both of them being Ghost type and neither of them falling into the cute Pokemon category. Lunala's Ghost typing is the big game changer because without that, I think Solgaleo finishes higher in the final rankings. Ironically, despite Lunala's feminine appearance, it actually has less rule 34 content than Solgaleo.

Ermine: Lunala and Solgaleo are a great pair of legendaries <3

ctes: They did a good job at not making one of the two legendaries a lot more appealing than the other this generation, but when it comes down to it, I like Lunala more. It's very cool just perfect as the "Moon Pokemon" too. I should mention how weird it is that the "Moon Pokemon" has a double weakness to dark type moves though, that doesn't really make a lot of sense. But beyond typing, this thing is great!

swordz9: Legendary Pokemon you didn't care about when you saw Solgaleo

Raka_Putra: Worse than 'Leo. I don't like the design.

XIII: A mediocre and horribly outclassed cover legendary. But still decent.

Gens VI and VII are the only ones where all of the cover legends are great. Mewtwo is fine, nothing special. Ho-oh (and Suicune I guess) are meh, and Lugia's good but nothing special either. Groudon is meh. Palkia is bad, Giratina's just okay. Reshiram is bad, and Kyurem's not particularly good either.

But for VI, Xerneas, Yveltal, and (ok not actually a cover Pokemon but whatever) Zygarde are all wonderful, and Lunala, Solgaleo, and Necrozma are all up there too, just not on the same tier.

Though Zekrom is still the best single one, and I'd put Dialga individually over Kyogre/Rayquaza, and VII ones.

OrangeCrush: Aw yeah, electromagnetic surfer Raichu! This is the boost that Raichu needed to be relevant nowadays.

Paratroopa1: it's uncharacteristically cliche of me, but I really like raichu a lot, and they kind of just made a better raichu that can surf on its own tail. yeah? yeah.

Luster Soldier: Much cuter than regular Raichu and the design has a slight Fairy type look to it, despite it not actually having the Fairy type. That said, slapping a Psychic type on it is a bit odd.

Drakeryn: Surf's Up! (Start of Battle) - Once every four days, Pikachu can get some inspiration from a certain minigame in Pokemon Yellow. The chosen terrain is flooded 1 foot high with water and the water level gradually rises 1 foot every minute. Pikachu surfs into battle on a wave, but the rest of the fighters start as they normally would. Pikachu also may keep and use his surfboard throughout the battle.

Cybat: Fuck you Hau. You just had to use the only fast Pokemon in Alola, didn't you.

Inviso: I'm not a HUGE fan of Raichu because I feel like it takes the cute Pikachu design, makes it fat, and ruins the color scheme. But added a Psychic typing for a unique combo does wonders for this dude.

mnkboy907: Not as good as the real deal, and they couldn't even let it learn Surf, but still nice enough overall.

hotdogturtle: I like the type combo, I like the tail surfing gimmick. I just don't like the glowing eyes and the slightly sunburnt color scheme. If this Pokemon had normal Raichu colors I'd like it better.

ctes: I'm very torn on this one actually, such an ambivalnt opinion, so it gets a middle placement. It's fanastic to use in-game, great offensive typing and stats that make it a great speeder. Surfing on its own tail is great gimmick and these things could have placed in top 5 if it doesn't look like complete s***. It's terrible, and while I don't let design influence my ranking as much as most people do, it needs to be penalized for being a Raichu. They gave Raichu some cool things and then completely ruined it.

XIII: Not sold nn the typing or design, but it's interesting at least.

MrSmartGuy: The first image imprinted on my mind when I saw this name was a lizard in Richard Simmons clothes doing jazz hands, and that made me actually laugh, so it's gotta be top-tier.

Inviso: So if Tsareena was designed to appeal to the countless internet-goers that wanna fuck Gardevoir, Salazzle was definitely designed to appeal to the countless internet furries that wanna fuck Lopunny. I'm definitely part of the latter group. >_> The second Salazzle's appearance leaked, I was in love, and the fact that her stats and abilities are actually useful in combat just make her all the more appealing. Fast AND strong special attack? Hell yeah. An ability that allows her to poison Poison and Steel-types? Hell yeah. A curvy little body that is just perfect for anthropomorphization? Oh HELL yeah. Throw in a unique typing, plus one of my all-time favorite types (Fire), and you've got a winning combination that miraculously didn't score the top spot for my list.

XIII: So sinister

Paratroopa1: oh man, they did it, they made a sexy lizard that controls people with sexy lizard smells. what? no I'm not going to stop thinking it's fucking rad. salazzle's great. I'd hit it. yeah I'm not taking that back

ctes: Salazzle is really great. Annoying that it can only be female when finsing Salandit, but that's not gonna drag it down. It's plesantly very fast in a super slow generation. Very great sweeper with a cool type combination except for the crucial double weakness it comes with. It looks great, and it has a super cool ability that is super fun to use, though Salazzle is a sweeper and not something that should spread status, making the ability something perhaps better suited for something else. Regarldess, it's a super great in-game Pokemon.

Cybat: As frustrating as it is to try to get one in game, it's definitely worth it. Her face is a little more feminine than I usually like in my lizards, but the cool typing and fun ability make up for it.

Brayze_II: an image search for this is just wall to wall gaping lizard vagina

StifledSilence: Really annoying evolution, but worth the effort.

Raka_Putra: It's disturbing yet oddly charming. I don't hate it.

Luster Soldier: Here's an example of a feminine looking Pokemon that I'm not really a fan of. The problem with Salazzle is the bad design. I don't have anything against lizard based Pokemon, but it really needed to be at least somewhat cute with an improved design to win my support. The design as it stands right now is not a cute Pokemon. One thing Salazzle does have is tons of rule 34 content, having the third highest amount of rule 34 content behind only Primarina and Litten. I was a bit surprised Litten is number one in rule 34 for the Gen VII Pokemon, but Litten had much more time to receive rule 34 content because it was revealed very early in the Pokemon Sun/Moon pre-release hype phase. Over time, I expect both Salazzle and Primarina to surpass Litten in rule 34 content.
