Uh, I would say that a lot of people on the internet who watch anime, watch them through those kind of sites. Crunchyroll started out as one of those illegal streaming sites and then gradually became a legitimate site. I know I used Crunchyroll for that reason way WAY back then.

Ok so this is pretty late but Your Lie in April post time
Your Lie in April spoilers: Anyways, my main problem is likely the way they handled the ending. The thing about character deaths for me is that the death itself rarely as much of an effect on me. (unless it is death by heroic sacrifice or something) To me the appeal of these plotlines is in seeing how the people who are still alive react to this turn of events, and in Your Lie in April we don't really get much of that. There's the letter at the end, and I guess maybe you could argue some of their conversations in the episodes leading up to that take on a similar tone, but ultimately I just thought this aspect wasn't there in a significant manner. And as a result having her die never came across to me as more than a halfhearted attempt to grab my heartstrings. Other things that probably affected my opinion just as much but require less words to explain: --The whole thing with Kousei's mom just felt too...edgy, I guess. (This isn't really a word I like using but I don't know what else to say) --There was too much redundant monologuing during performances imo. Also since I spent this long talking about Your Lie in April I feel obligated to give a general recommendation for Tari Tari which doesn't get nearly as much credit as I think it deserves. It shares some similar plot points to parts of Your Lie in April but is I think much more compelling. --- Congratulations to BK_Sheikah00, this year's guru to achieve contest enlightenment! ...
