He also did a big medicare increase but that was in his second term IIRC

Republicans have been acting like Democrats for decades. The difference isn't in the act, it's all in the rhetoric. THAT's why Trump, whose acts are so intensely Democratic that you could use him as the dictionary definition, was able to win.

The weakness is this rhetoric is memetic and thus very fleeting. It needs to reinvent itself constantly or else it will drop straight to zero. Fortunately the Right are master memesters so they will definitely be able to keep this up for more than 1 year...

I mean the logical option is... just don't put shitty drugs in your system. If you care about the healthiness of your food, obviously care about the purity of your drugs too (and avoid ones that are just straight garbage no matter the purity)

specifically with opioids, no. However it's pretty common for young health nuts to also be drug users. Not the majority by any means, but as a guy who runs a health food store, it's a pretty common archetype, and they're as ridiculous as they sound. But they're also the people that think apricot kernels are going to cure cancer and chemo will kill them. Not exactly the pharmaceutical opiod type.
