And the reason why transgender people don't follow up on their surgeries to anyone with a brain: they don't want to be constantly reminded of their past lives. Imagine having to go back to the same doctor to be reminded again and again that you used have a vagina or penis when you're trying to establish your true identity going forward. "Listen, I know you want to feel like a true woman but I need you to come back and be reminded you used to be a man. Over and over."
