I usually go to 2-3 Brewers games a year. We have talked about going to a White Sox, Cubs, and Twins games this year so the kids could see the different stadiums this summer. We might visit in-laws in KC so hopefully we can hit a Royals game as well.

I have been to two different Busch Stadiums many times, Wrigley Field twice, and once for Safeco Field, the Rogers Centre, and the Tokyo Dome.

All of these emergency goalie things are fascinating. MNTwins, yes your assumption about what an emergency catcher is is correct, though I of course can't say whether or not Joe Mauer would be the Twins choice in that scenario. It's typically a utility infielder who plays like 3rd and 2nd whenever someone needs to be filled in for, but Mauer is a unique case and if they aren't worried about his health back there for just a few innings it would make sense to have him as the emergency backup.

The emergency goalie stuff is cool, don't get me wrong, but they always make it sound like some completely random guy plucked off the street. And to an extent I suppose it is, but they never put "ex-college player" in the headline. It's not like he's just any accountant.

The emergency goalie is the coolest rule simply because it's the only chance to see a somewhat average dude in a major sports league.

Oh, and I should go to the Jays games this weekend, if only to see two baseball ogres smash some dingers.

That's true, but he was in college 15 years ago, and it didn't sound like he was a top prospect or anything so he still has no business playing in an NHL game.

I've only been to AT&T and Oakland Coliseum. The O.Co. is terrible. It's ugly, old, and dirty, and the A's need a better place to play where they won't be flooded in sewage 10 times a season.

Wrigley Field is awful too. We paid $100 to sit in the last row and there was a pole obstructing our view. Also it's fucking impossible to find your seats there.

I always end up getting rid of a ton of crap with each move, which is a nice feeling, but there's no way to make moving your essential furniture easy. I made the mistake of buying an absurdly heavy mattress and by the time I really realized how heavy it was it was too late to bring it back

At least I won't be moving any more for the foreseeable future, but not for the reasons I'd like that to be the case

Fucking no sir! It just kept happening. First move to college, then out of the dorm, then moved abroad, then back to the states, then they sold the house we rented... I'd say there was only one super-duper unnecessary move that I pulled off in the middle of a lease, but I was at my wit's end.

I hate moving, but I've ended up hating most of the places I lived and I couldn't possibly justify extending the lease. The few places I actually did like, I couldn't stay since roommates wanted to move on.

The best was when I shared part of a duplex with four other people. My portion of rent was only like $325 a month, and it wasn't actually too bad dealing with that many people. I guess it helped that it was rare that all five of us were there at the same time. I've shared bigger places with fewer people but yet their presence can loom much larger (in a bad way).

Hmm. Sounds like you guys love to move.

I'm definitely a pro at it at this point.

They lost in 4 to the Cubs, but they really gave that last one away. It should have went 2-2 going to a 5th game.

I'm sure you guys have said it before, but what's the furthest you got in Stardew Valley? After getting to the end of year 3 a while back I stopped playing, but I was thinking about it recently. Maybe I'll go back to it eventually. Does anything interesting really happen after three years? It got pretty repetitive for me like halfway through year 3, which is why I abandoned it

I think that's where most people stop with their main file. The only thing left to do is beautify your farm which only appeals to some because it's kind of a lot of work
