Finished Sora yori mo Tooi Basho. It was pretty nice, though I do kind of wish they'd found the mothers body tbh. I wanted that mystery solved. Glad I watched it though.

There is an Isekai cooking show on Crunchyroll right now currently airing called Isekai Izakaya. It's nothing amazing but there is something that makes me happy about the first episode. Its a Japanese restaurant and there front door connects to a parallel universe. So the guard is flustered that the door had glass and thinks he can't afford to eat there (glass is very expensive in their time). And his reactions modern beer and food just makes me smile.

Kind of annoying the text across the top never goes away......

It's like a long commercial for Japanese food.

Edit: oh. It is. There is a live action section at the end. Which at first was annoying, but I enjoyed seeing the real cooking.

Finally got my first eternal. I now have a Tien and her cute butt. Also finished leveling up my Charlotta and Silva to 100. Gonna get the rest of my SSRs to 80 before making Seruel and Hallessena to 100 my priority. Gonna be a while before I get my second eternal, but I do have one more gold brick for right now. A couple more days and I'll finally be unlocking 4th tier classes and glorybringer. Only have a bit over 6k class points though unfortunately, so can only get two new classes. Think I'm gonna grab berserker and chaos ruler and then after those two I'll go for spartan and sage.

Goddamn, Goblin Slayer is literally Doomguy.

His presence literally makes goblins soil themselves in front of their inevitable slaughter.

Also, I'm kind of dreading the eventual repercussion of having the goblin champion and the rest of the goblins getting away somewhere down the road.

On the other hand, if they spread the word of how badass Goblin Slayer is among their kind he will literally become the stuff of their nightmares.

Continuing the rewatch of Fate / Zero in fits and starts. Looks like milady and I are going to go directly into the '06 Fate / Stay Night after that. ... Yes, on purpose. (She has already seen U.B.W., as have I, so she is interested in the badness of the 'original'.) In the meantime, we are watching the Persona 5 anime, but it still feels sloppy. The current Wixoss is still Anime of the Season for me, thus far.

Persona 5 anime is bad. Animation is only okay, and as someone who hasn't played the game I have no clue why the stuff that's happening in happening. I stopped watching. I heard the game is really good, and A1 doesn't have a good track record of making anime from games.

In WIXOSS can't they just make a wish thats the opposite of what they want and then lose on purpose? Like "I wish I don't get infinite wishes and knowledge of my infinite wishes at no cost". Throw the game, boom, you have infinite wishes. I only watched the first season though so maybe they address that.but it always pissed me off.

Started to watch Little Witch Academia because it popped up in my NFI recommendations (or trending? Can't remember) while just hanging around a Pokemon gym earlier today and I recognized one of the supporting characters from a Nendoroid announcement some time ago. Seems like a magical comedy slice of life anime. Enjoying it so far.

Granted, I've got a lot of non-anime still on my queue which I really want to get around to at some point. Anime is just easier to watch on a Kindle Fire, though.

This exact thing happens early in the current season, so yes. (You can't wish for more wishes, though. That's true of most situations involving wishes.)

What happens if you try to wish for infinite wishes or godlike powers or whatever? Did they actually address that? I don't think I've seen one single anime ever even mention such a thing. I know it pissed me off that madoka never did anything like that. You figure kyuubei would just get one of the girls to wish for an infinite and safe energy source and be done with it in one go.

I don't think that would work. It's hard to explain with the right words... The only reason Madoka was able to make the wish she did was because of all the timelines converging on her due to Homura rewinding time with Madoka being the reason.

I don't think any other girl would be able to make a wish that could rewrite a rule of the universe. Another wish that would fit the thing you're trying to say is wish for entropy to not happen.

And let's say that a girl could make a wish like that and Kyubei can grant it. She would become a witch capable of destroying the universe like Madoka did. Except Madoka's wish canceled herself out and stabilized. Along these lines I'm pretty sure Kyubei doesn't quite have control over how the wishes are granted. Don't you think he would not grant a wish that would then end the universe his race is trying so hard to save from entropy?

Just my thoughts.

My problem was that they never even attempted anything like that or explained why it wouldn't work. As far as I remember we never even see what happens if you make a wish thats "too strong". You could also always wish for no consequences in part of your wish. Wishing for entropy to not exist would probably have dangerous physics implications.

What's your preferred party to go with for FF1?

I remembered the PSP had the definitive version of FF1, plus, I've only played FF1 once and that was for the gba, so I decided to get into it.

I'm thinking I'm just gonna roll with the vanilla Knight, Thief, White Mage, Black Mage.

She's great at 5*, but you'd absolutely never use her 4* over Percival/Yuel/Sturm which is probably THE fire team (you probably wouldn't use her over any of them even at 5*, but I don't have Percival, so lel). But you can now easily achieve TH9 in any raid you leech which is a huge boost to efficiency.

Now just get dark jeanne for more zooey memes and better leech/sliming shenangians with her sword and some offense wind characters besides just Yuisis (Melissabelle and Scathacha come to mind) and you will have pretty legit teams for every element.

With those characters, I'd definitely get Siete/Seofon for your next eternal. He's wonderful at 4*, becomes even more godlike at 5*, and is a strong self-sufficient wind attacker. He also works well with Zooey; Mechanic+Zooey+Siete+Shiva is some absolutely absurd burst in either wind or dark. In strike time, that's three charge attacks back to back (though it requires Siete to not get hit at 4*; at 5* that ceases to be a problem). Siete is 1.5x charge attack damage passive to the entire party, Shiva is 2.8x damage (and raises damage cap some), and enmity plus zooey is dumb by itself. This should allow you to definitely hit damage cap on turn one and probably hit damage cap on turns 2 and 3. You will have one off-element party member, so eventually you want to segue into different compositions (or play nighthound and throw zooey backline after conjunction), but this is a very accessible way to deal at least 10 million damage. Not enough for EX+ in guild wars, but enough to steal MVPs in magnas easily.

His only downside is that you have to mash a slightly time-consuming ability almost every turn. This downside is mitigated at 5* because A) he gains one-hit immunity after every charge attack and B) he builds up two swordshines per ability use so as long as he isn't hit literally every single turn of the entire fight you'll be able to cap swordshines.

He was kinda underestimated for a while, but people are racing with him in the hardest fights in the game now.

This upcoming month's events are going to suck for me, since my wind and earth grids/teams aren't the greatest. I have 7 guns for wind, so that's not too bad, it's more the team synergy that's not great. I could really use an attacker to replace Yuisis with as you said. My earth grid is butt though. I actually like the team I have for earth though. Yggy needs more emps though, to help with her survival though. I was figuring there was no real need to work on omega 1 earth, when I was nearing 120 and could try for omega 2 earth stuff instead.

With my single free draw from today I drew the new Cucuroux, which was rather unexpected. Grand Io would've been best, but I'm happy to draw what I did nonetheless. If only I could've been so lucky when Alex came out.

Just watched GGO:A ep 4. LLENN's face at the end in the after the credits scene was pretty great. I can see that image being used for memes. Overall the episode was a little meh cause they spent too much time explaining shit and then reexplaining the same shit. Particularly in regards to manual aiming.

Dunno if you knew, but the vast majority of GW weapons are booty and not worth building outside of going for the characters. Only the dagger, harp, and fist are actually worth using. The gun used to be considered alright for playing the gunslinger class, but if you ever 5* the character, you will end up breaking the gun, destroying all the bullets inside. Class weapon gun was always superior anyways, and recently they added a new stage to class weapons to further set them apart.

Yeah, basically figured most of the weapons weren't worth the resources used to make them. That's the reason I'm just going to make all of the weapons in the element superior to their respective character. Plan to get some more daggers eventually though.

Btw, I had to temper my excitement after I bought the 8 distinctions I needed for ele changing my Aschallon, after I realized I was still 78 Corrow anima away lol. Oh well, that's the last thing I need before I can unlock glorybringer and tier 4 classes.

I'm a Megumin fan as well. Her personality is the most appealing. Sometimes I feel like Darkness's gag runs thin. All the characters are great though. Season 3 never ;-;

In regards to FF1 I can't actually remember it. I know I played it for gba on an emu but I don't remember anything about it. I likely went with a balanced party though.

I just watched what is out of tokyo ghoul 3 and it clearly intends you to have watched season 2 which I did not cause everyone said it was garbage. Oh well, it's a shonen, its still easy to follow even if you start in the middle. It's watchable but I'm really not sure why it's rated so highly. I remember enjoying season 1 more than this. I have a tough time enjoying the fighting in this since the power levels seem so arbitrary and unrelated to the actual action and the choreography is really lazy in parts.

Watched ep 4 of golden kamuy which was fine I guess. It ended right as things got interesting though. Watched ep 4 of Hinamatsuri which was kinda depressing honestly. Watched ep 4 of megalo box which was probably the best of the episodes I saw. Things are finally really getting started in it.

Overall a pretty crap week for the shows I was following. Still rewatching FMP but after getting 13 episodes in my drive to continue is waning. It feels like none of this is what I'm in the mood for. I think sora yori being so quality is making the rest of this stuff feel like junk even if its just fine. It's hard to go back to entertainment after watching something that feels like more than that.

My standard party in FF1 is traditionally Fighter, Red Mage, White Mage, Black Mage, but the Red Mage spot is flexible (i.e. I have the Thief or the Monk there before). Still love the game, but I prefer the GBA version to the PSP version ... for no particular reason. *thinks* When I beat the NES original, my party was Fighter, Thief, White Mage, Black Mage (promoted, of course).

Milady and I finished up the Fate / Zero dub, but, instead of going on to '06 Fate / Stay Night, we are going to the U.B.W. dub instead. Feels a little odd to hear so many familiar voices from Fire Emblem Heroes, but I am enjoying it.

UPDATE: Really liking what I've seen of Little Witch Academia. Unfortunately, it seems like it only has 25 episodes =x Whole bunch of shit I've started on NFI lately is either short or the series is just beginning, which is a pain. Given that I'm watching a few episodes per night usually, I'll be through the series before long.

I was actually thinking the same thing, Netflix may end up bringing in a new generation of casual anime watchers which is pretty cool.

Rewatching the monogatari stuff is something I'd like to get around to as well. Still waiting on Zoku Owarimonogatari to air as well.

Uh, I posted in some of the previous topics about my anime-watching... and I've generally participated when it came to suggesting or listing favorite anime... and I've occasionally referenced plot points from more contemporary anime... and I've brought up favorite anime while talking about tv shows... so... >_>

But yeah, it hasn't appealed to me as much in recent years but, as noted earlier in the topic, I've sometimes just camp a Pokestop or gym in the evening to restock on items and I'll watch something while I'm doing that.

At any rate, I haven't been big into either anime or manga for years, although I've sometimes gone on a kick now and again, such as running through Magical Princess Apocalypse (which starts great but devolves quickly until it gets to this whole stupid future plot arc that runs for countless issues and provides a lot of boring backstory), Soil, etc.

I've never cared enough to keep up with new series as they came out or researched new stuff on the way.

Honestly, re-watching Ouran HSHC on NFI (after buying the collection shortly before that) was probably the driving force for the latest semi-bender. And NFI's shitty horror selection lately -- and unappealing tv shows -- have certainly helped make anime more attractive.
