Resuls, day 61:
Phantom R's Theme < Last Surprise, 19-22
The Queen of Soldier > Dark Prison, 20-15

Phantom R was a strong contender for LS, but it wasn't enough. The non-youtube song advances deeper through the side bracket.

Bracket A update:
* A1 was won by (1) Laguerra del Mundo over (10) Battle Against a True Hero. Not that BaaTH really should have been a 10 seed, but in predictions, NFUN took LdM to win the bracket, which means he'll likely win in LdM reaches the finals.
* A2 was won by (1) Rivers in the Desert over (3) Cosmic Hero. A2 was easily the division that went closest to seed, with 1 vs 5 and 2 vs 3 in the previous round. Janus has Rivers in the Desert winning the bracket.
* A3 was won by (2) Sunshine Coastline over (8) Flash Frost. Not a 1 seed, but close. These three divisions made my seeding look good in a way the rest of them definitely will not. PSI_Ness has Sunshine Coastline going the distance.
* A4 was won by (4) Last Surprise over (6) Phantom R's Theme. I underestimated Last Surprise a little, but only a little. I thought something would stop it along the way. Only zyxyz0 took Last Surprise to advance past round 4, and had it losing in the semis. Zyxyz is behind by enough that that result alone will not be enough to win Bracket A, given that either NFUN or Janus will be getting 16 points from their pick advancing in R5.

When this update comes around for bracket B, it's entirely possible we'll have back-to-back 16 seeds winning...

Did not expect the main bracket match to be that lopsided. At least not in favor of Hidra.

Xeus > Apollo Justice ~ A New Chapter of Trials! 2016, 27-14

Those matches started off all Octoxeus. Then things started to shift. And by shift, I mean went from 12-4 Octopunch during the power hour to 17-7 End of All across the rest of the match. Apollo Justice tried a similar rally, but it didn't last long. Anyway, congratulations, folks. You retired a 16 seed. Gonna make it two in a row tomorrow?

I think of the remaining songs I'd most prefer Hidra Heteromycin > Sunshine Coastline.

Amusement Park win also acceptable for the azuarc meltdown (and also probably my 2nd favorite remaining song because Bracket B was OP)

I was ready for End of All to lose and am pleasantly surprised to be wrong. I believe this track didn't make it past r1 last year, so it's incredible it retired this year. I think this is my third song to retire in the contest since I started participating. If Id couldn't retired, I'm glad End of All could, but Id is still superior

End of All (Sky) definitely is the way better version. Not sure why (Land) was the one nominated. (I voted it mostly due to being underwhelmed by the other song)

I believe I was the initial nominee for Elferia and Zero in the years they won, but they were returners so I wouldn't really count those personally. Dark Legacy and Monolith are probably as good as it gets for songs I was responsible for... (how did WED and DED not do better in VGMC3 anyway wtf is reset wtf is diving)
