the Brewers have never won a WS in the history of the franchise. Only been there once and that was decades ago.

However, we have been playing fun-to-watch baseball, for the most part, since 2007. Start off hot, cool off in the end. Every year we hope the cool off doesn't happen. So at least half a season of excitement is better than none I guess.

Manfred says the talks towards universal DH is moving and I can't think of anything that is so frustrating. The amount of strategy that would be lost in baseball would be devastating. Especially considering the number of hitters out there that likely hit worse than some pitchers.

I think baseball has a tough road ahead. It's slow and there's a lot of nothing happening. It's not catching on with young people and it's brutal. And if your team is doing poorly, then it's tough to watch compared to other options people have for entertainment. Either they suck because they can't spend $$, or they spent $$ and it went poorly. And it's a long summer if you have no hope and there aren't enough stars to go around.

And the games are looooong. A lot of numbers are going to keep going down and you're gonna see some changes (like the DH) to speed up the game and make it better for viewing. I would suspect shifts get removed because in general people don't want to watch their all starts crush balls into shifts.

I assumed top level seats were cheap at all stadiums. 500 level at a Jays game is like $20, and having sat all around the stadium, it's one of my favourite places to catch a game as long as you get behind home plate.

And this is coming from a sports town that charges over $100 for a standing room ticket to a hockey game on a Wednesday night against the worst team in the league.

Well yeah I cant afford to take my kids to a Steelers game but we at least have Pitt in the same stadium for a fraction of the price lol. A weekend pirate game starts at 25 dollars though in grandstand.

Our worst seats are $30 but it's not realistic to get those. But there's plenty of $45 decent seats. We've had a 2-3 year stretch of $100 SRO tickets for Yanks games but that was a long time ago. That's a bit different than the season ticket issue for the Toronto NHL team has.

ticket price is an issue but its far from the only issue or the biggest issue

MLB is awful at marketing so many of its stars

lately its been bad because theres a LOT more teams than normal that are just really bad. and while that mans theres more really good teams, when the best teams in baseball get even better, theres no attendance to gain

Hell, it might increase it. If you can't stack one side of the infield, you might be more inclined to at least put your best infielder on that side.

The AL wild card game is currently slated to be between 2 of the top 4 teams in the league (Yankees, Red Sox, Astros, Mariners). That means a 100-win team could have their season end in a coinflip game while several lesser teams get entire series.

Guaranteed if the team drawing the short straw is anyone but Seattle, there will be a riot.
